Crossroads - Weekend Messages

Our lives, whether we like it or not, contain all sorts of experiences. From the greatest victories to the most stunning defeats, from things we cannot wait to happen again to things we would never wish on our worst enemies. In that sense, life is like a journey into the wild. Life is full of everything. Thank God we have a Good Shepherd who will lead us through it all. We are excited to begin our...

Our Passover Communion Celebration is a special part of Easter Week at Crossroads. Together as a church family, we will look back at God’s deliverance of the children of Israel, reflect on Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, and consider our own experience as we join Jesus as his people on mission.

Who is God? Why am I here? These are the big questions. And how we answer those questions have far-reaching consequences for who we are and how we live our life. When we believe in Jesus, our life is transformed. This Palm Sunday, we will explore the basis of belief. This basis is the very personality of God.

No one likes to be in a battle, let alone a full-scale war. But if the conflict is inevitable, you want to have resources and weapons at your disposal to win the conflict. We often don’t think of prayer as a weapon, but it is. And it’s a mighty weapon at that. Join us for the close of our Into the Deep series on prayer as we look at Warfare Prayer.

Prayer has often been compared to a friendly conversation with a loving God. While this approach is fruitful and important in the life of a believer, prayer is also, by definition, a cry for help when all seems lost. In Isaiah 38, we find a prideful ruler confronted by insurmountable odds crying out to God for help. May we use his example to fuel the embers of our prayer life in a message entitled...

As we continue our “into the deep” series, today will uncover practical steps; or what I like to call “the 3 B’s”, of praying Bold Prayers. We see that the apostles' response to intense persecution was the catalyst that God used to bring unity, boldness & a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to His Church. I pray that after today’s message you, too, will feel empowered to pray bold prayers & live...

There is only one place in the Gospels that the disciples asked Jesus to teach them something. They asked Him to teach them how to pray. I am so happy that they asked this question. Why? Because Jesus answered it and taught the disciples how to pray. We have so much we can learn about prayer from Jesus’ profound response.

What an amazing journey we have had together. It has taken us over a year's time but we have journeyed to the end of the Revelation of Jesus. We have seen fresh insights into who Jesus is and what He is all about. And as we bring this journey to a close, there are a series of exhortations that we do not want to miss. Because God loves us enough to share them with us.

Our God is a God of redemption. God takes what is wrong and makes it right again. God takes what is old and broken down and makes all things new. In the final few chapters of Book of Revelation, we see the Lord remaking the world. We see our God restoring and rebuilding a world that has been scared by sin.

It is unfortunate that we live in a broken and sinful world. We are so used to evil that we can often hear of something horrible and not even think much about it. We are so habituated to the effects of sin that we forget that God created everything good and right. One of the most profound effects of Jesus’ return is that everything that is wrong will be made right again. Finally! The moment we have all been waiting for! As we have traveled through the Book of Revelation, we have covered so much ground. But this weekend, we finally see the visible return of Jesus. What an extraordinary moment. One that will change everything.
