Clear 99 On Demand

It started with a silly story about an "R-rated" parrot up for adoption. The we heard from a couple of Clear listeners who answered some of our parrot questions, and shared their own funny talking bird stories!

We've recently had a couple of co-workers who have experienced unique concert events that we found interesting, and thought you might too! First up is Stephanie Bell from "Wake Up Missouri" on 93.9 The Eagle. She went to one night of this year's annual CMA Fest in Nashville, but she did so with SEAT-FILLER TICKETS. Then sales maven Carrie Berkbuegler got to see Kenny Chesney at the much talked abo...

It probably won't be long before driverless cars are commonplace. But it seems like there's still a kink or two to work out...

Joe Buck was at the Lake Of The Ozarks to accept an award this weekend, and in the lobby he ran into a youth baseball team...and their Dads!"

Timing & gratitude & connection & wonderful listeners....

It all started with a discussion about the new Real ID's that we're all supposed to have now. That turned into talk about the weight on your drivers license...

Clay Cumbie is a singer/songwriter that spent his Jr. High & High School years in Columbia, before chasing his dreams in Nashville. Scotty met Clay when is was 16 or so and "playing out". Even then you could tell that Clay had talent, as a singer, songwriter, and guitar player. Clay has lived the life of a "Nashville Songwriter", and has lots of insights into the music business from that aspect. W...

So we talk about what goes into an award entry, as well as sharing the aircheck we submitted for the judges to hear. We also went through the rou...

A quick story about Liz & Scotty looking forward to the same Saturday.

Our guy Kenny Jay was in town for a few days, so we grabbed him for an in-studio Country Music visit! We had no real agenda, but Kenny was just at the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville so we figured he'd have a couple of topics we could dig into. (We posted a page at Clear99.com that has links to some of the things Kenny references in the Poddy.) (:14) Welcome & pleasantries (1:58) CRS high...

When Liz and her husband Will first started dating, among their first dates were a rodeo and a fishing trip. This struck Scotty as funny, considering that Liz is more of a city mouse than a country mouse. At least that's where the discussion began. It ended with Scotty calling Liz a big 'ol liar.

Liz &Scotty learn a little something about skin care.

What is it about Billy Ray Cyrus that keeps getting him gigs? It's a question that Scotty has asked many times, and it comes up again after Billy's performance at President Trump's inauguration.

More proof, that Scotty is an idiot.

We really enjoyed this visit with Kenny Jay about what Country Music in 2025 may look like. Kenny is a guy we love working with at Clear 99. He works with radio stations now, but has worked with artists like Morgan Wallen and Hardy on the record label/artists management side of things. We asked Kenny to come up with a couple of trends he see's for the format in 2025. Not just things that would be...

No one could play "Baptist Betty", other than Baptist Betty.

Former Clear Crew member, and current CMT Top 20 Country Countdown co-host Carissa Culiner joins us for a look back at a few Country Music stories from 2024. Yellowstone, which started 6 years ago, is done. Sometimes it seemed like 6 years between seasons! Liz & Scotty talk about the final episode, and how they think it all wrapped up.
