Mercy by definition is, showing compassion or forgiveness towards someone when you have the power to punish or harm them. That's exactly what God has done to us! He had the power to punish us but He didn't! He sent Jesus instead! That is what we should do to others! Show them that same mercy! We hunger and thirst for what's right, and we need it, just like we do food and water! Our righteousness can only come from Jesus! We will never be right before God without Him. Today's memory verse: Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."

To be meek means to be quiet, gentle, and easily imposed upon, not argumentative or forceful. Jesus was a perfect example of meekness! Today's memory verse: Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."

We grieve and mourn many losses in this life. But we ARE comforted! We are comforted through the Bible, through prayer, and through each other! Today's memory verse: Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

Take heart when your spirit is feeling down my friends! The Kingdom of heaven awaits us! Today's memory verse: Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their's is the Kingdom of Heaven."

God is always always always listening to us! He cares about every word we pray. He never turns us away or asks us to "come back later"! Today's memory verse: Psalm 142:2 "I pour out my problems to Him. I tell Him my troubles."

Jesus' heart was pure and full of peace regardless of what situation He was in or was troubles and hardships came His way! What an amazing heart He has! Today's memory verse: James 3:17 "The wisdom that comes from God is pure, peaceful, gentle, and easy to please."

Jesus truly feels all of our sufferings! He feels it and heals it! Today's memory verse: Matthew 14:14 "He felt sorry for them."

God can and does make something messy in to something beautiful! Today's memory verse: Mark 5:34 "Dear woman, you are made well because you believed. Go in peace. You will have no more suffering."

You are so special to God and He has, and always will love you! Today's memory verse: Romans 8:39 "Nothing in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God."

Everything we do, we can either do it with a good attitude or a bad one. God always has the best, most positive attitude when He takes care and provides for us, so lets to the same when we serve Him! Today's memory verse: 2 Thessalonians 2:16 "We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ himself and God the Father will comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say."

God dwells in heaven, in Mt. Zion the Bible says. But He also dwells with us here as well! Jesus tells us that he is always with us! This winter, those of us who live in cold weather areas will be bundling up in warm clothes and heavy coats. The Lord cares about what we wear, but not our earthly clothing, but our spiritual, heavenly clothing! Today's memory verse: Isaiah 61:10 "The Lord has covered me with the clothes of salvation. He has covered me with a coat of goodness."

It can be tough to wait. But waiting on god and trusting Him and His timing will never leave us disappointed! Today's memory verse: Luke 18:7 "God's people cry to Him night and day. God will always give them what is right, and he will not be slow to answer them."

Gifts are great, and the Lord wants us to have good things. He wants to give to us! But the greatest gifts of all are things that money cannot buy. Let's keep our hearts focused on the gifts we have in Jesus during this holiday season! Today's memory verse: James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above."

God does amazing things everyday to show that He is with us! Be on the lookout for them! Keep your eyes open for all the ways He shows us He loves us! Today's memory: Matthew 1:23 "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means "God with us"."

When we fully understand the victory we have in Jesus because of what he did for us on the cross, we can't help but to go out into the world and be brave for Him! No matter what it costs us. Today's memory verse: Hebrews 8:12 "I will not remember their sins anymore."

We are so blessed to have the Lord in our lives, and Him with us every second of everyday. For those who don't believe in God, life on this earth is as good as it gets. God wants to be our home. He wants and desires us to continually be with Him. Take Him with you wherever you go, friends! Stay home always :) Today's memory verse: John 14:23 "If anyone loves me, then they will obey my teaching. My father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

It's one thing to know what the Bible says and be able to recite it. That's a great thing! But it's an even better thing to live it out and walk in it each day! Today's memory verse: Ephesians 5:8 "Live like children who belong to the light."

Growing in Jesus after we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior is the best thing! Let's continue to grow everyday! Today's memory verse: Hebrews 6:1 "So let us go on to grown-up teaching. Let us not go back over the beginning lessons we learned about Christ."
