Beck Did It Better

Today we are talking about an album and video that had a major part to play in my growth as a young man. TLC hits us with one of the sexiest albums of all time.  We talk Tuck Everlasting, we make a pro con list, and Rob comes up with maybe his greatest business plan of all time.    Call or Text the Bext Line at 802 277 BECK.    Next week we are talking Only Built 4 Cuban Linx by Raekwon!

Oh... You want this episode? Why don't you beg for it?    Beg.....   We once again become the best podcast about Oasis when we talk about their first album Definitely Maybe.    We talk about being cool when we were younger (big surprise), Yacht Rock, and Rob got an injury in the best way. Russ is now stealing phones and his mom will not return his calls.  Then we talk about the quintessential Rock...

Don't even Sarte with me.    In this episode we talk a lot of goodwill hunting, parades, portland and Russell starts a story with  "Let me be clear, the food was really good."    We go list crazy tonight when we become the best Elliot Smith podcast as we continue to cover each Album on the Rolling Stone Top 500.   Join us!

(Trigger Warning: We had two of our favorite fans pass away this week and we talk about it.)    The only message Russell sent me about this episode is that I needed to change the song I wrote. It was too dirty. Did I? You'll never now.  This is NOT the best podcast about the Grateful Dead but we do talk about their best known album and the reasons for the sound about it.    We go through a little...

It's the end of Locktober, which means it's time to hand over the keys and unlock the best podcast about Tom Petty and the 214th greatest album of all time, Wildflowers.   Before we get to the point, we roll another joint and talk about the best John Candy movies (again), playing the Top Gun Anthem during a work meeting, and an exciting breakfast proclivity. We also clear up some cliffhangers, con...

Hey everyone! We are once again the best Fiona Apple podcast when we talk about the Idlers Wheel....   We talk about credit card points, what we get in the divorce, and we finally hear Rob do his full standup set. Aaron talks tripe, Russ talks cigars, and we finally do the best celesta list.  Then we listen to some baroque pop and talk Fiona Apple.    Call the beck line at 802 277 BECK.    Next we...

You've seen the shirt. You've heard bands talk about how they influenced them. Now listen for yourself as we become the best podcast on Joy Division and their debut album, "Unknown Pleasures."   We talk scariest songs, Matt gives a review of the latest episode, and Aaron tells us how you can always go home.  Next week, Wild is the Wind by Nina Simone!

First of all, let's be clear. Can we possibly be the best Ray Charles podcast and the best ever about this box set called The Birth of Soul, without Matt? Probably not, but three of us got together on a school night and tried.  We find out how Aaron gets his weather (wild), how my uncle was in the Miami Sound Machine, and we dive into Spotify Leagues.   Rob talks beds on the plane; you will never...

Listen.  I am not going to lie.    I didn't remember this ep. Russ said it was good and I had my doubts until I listened to the end when Russ said his favorite Chuck Berry song is Run Rudolph. It literally is an insane thing to think, much less say aloud.    We couldn't record this week due to me. So we found out today is the anniversary of Chuck Berry's last Live Show.    I couldn't find any of h...

Folks, We want you walk this way to a store that sells muffins and listen to us talk about Run-D.M.C and the birth of the golden age of hip hop. We are talking sleeping on planes, remembering our rolling goings, and what bag we bring on planes. Planes are definitely in the top three things we talk about on this show. I don't get it.  Then we talk about old school rap and just how great this record...

We become the best Lil Wayne podcast when we talk about Lil Wayne and Tha Carter III. No not that little wayne. Not that one either. Maybe one drafted by the Twolves comes up twice.  We have a special guest with Little Rosie in the garage, Aaron is getting fruit in the mail now,  and find out what Aaron was like growing up. Rob talks about his balls.  Then we talk 2000s rap, Bangladesh, and where...

ook, I don't know what type of corn smut you and your accountability buddy text chain have been listening to, but it feels like you may need some handwashing after this episode. This week, we're standin' on a corner in Karl Winslow, Arizona, recording the best podcast about Eagles—the raptors, the Mike Quick football team, and the band...Eagles!   But before we get to the music, Aaron's ordering f...

This week we become the best David Bowie podcast when we talk about his album Low? Do you love soundscapes? Hate hits? You will love this one!  Aaron had two stains on his pants this weekend from the Mayor of Oakland.  We start by talking about Mighty Ducks 2 (quack quack), Varsity Blues, and falling in the shower before we ask for MORE POWER and talk about how much we like the first half of the a...

We become the best Cat Stevens podcast by talking about his 1970 hit Tea for the Tillerman. We look at how good his songs sound in the hands of Mr. Big and then talk about the exact opposite of Mr. Big.    Warning..... new character has dropped on the show!  Aaron is keeping up with his great life and Matt finally tells us what women want.   Rob figured out the best way to end arguments with peopl...

Listen.  It's Labor Day weekend. The worst time of the year.    School is starting. Thirty some weeks until the next summer. Everyone goes on vacation this weekend, except Rob who sits in his room and complains.   Plus Oasis is back in the news by announcing a new tour and the text chain is alive with people wanting to go. This release is dedicated to everyone who tried to buy tickets and it turns...

Good morning! The anticipation for this week's episode is palpable. Unfortunately, we don't know what record we are covering today.   So, before we get to the album, we tentatively jump into a mosh pit of live concert discussion with some ticket-buying advice, a breakdown of Def Leppard's hits, and an address about whether it's okay to wear a band's T-shirt to a concert. We also celebrate a game-w...

Welcome to the best Nick Drack Podcast and a podcast where we talk about the album Pink Moon. We talk a lot about the cabin this week and Matt tells us about his new skill.    Aaron is back on PTA duty but is too busy with all his Guys' nights, Russ is on a concert bender and Rob's kid tells the perfect joke.    Then we learn about Matt's new drinking game and talk about Pink Moon. We also learn a...

G'day mate! Welcome to the land of the living. Download this episode and start listening to the best podcast about Bjork and the 202nd greatest album of all time, Homogenic. Warning this episode is RO RL and ordinary.   Before we unravel the album, we become the best podcast for food lovers and discuss last meals, ice cream flavors, being late for dinner, and lactose decisions that will leave your...

Hey everyone,  This week we hit our second A Tribe Called Quest Album and we pretty much become the best podcast about Midnight Marauders. We are talking USA up all night, Jock Jams, and the time Rob went to Military School.    Aaron talks about Rucking and Rob talks about talking about getting horny. Everyone thinks its normal that Aaron orders messed up stuff at the ball game and we go over the...

Once upon a midnight dreary, we recorded the best podcast about Pavement and the 199th greatest album of all time, Slanted and Enchanted. Quoth our downloaders "Nevermore".   The first half of this podcast is sponsored by Hardees, during which we discuss our favorite Summer Olympic events and the utility of wagons. Then, we dive into the most important Delta meltdown that has impacted one traveler...

Folks.    Paul's Botique came out 35 years ago so I wanted to celebrate this anniversary by giving all we can give. And all we can give is an old episode that we released.    However, I listened to it and it was a pretty good ep. Matt makes a great list, big Humpty Dumpty makes a stride forward and Aaron begs for a free gift.    The album is fun and the episode is a good one. See you Tuesday!

Some say that comparison is the thief of joy, but we still think this is the best podcast about Sade and the 200th greatest album of all time, Diamond Life. And what better way to celebrate this album, than posting this podcast 40 years and 7 days after its original release!   But before we get to the music we jump on a big swing and discuss the best fictional basketball players of all time. Then...

Listen.    We all make mistakes.    Some of us don't edit the podcast on time and then decide (way too late) to release an episode we talked about on the podcast tomorrow. Then some of us confuse the Lauryn Hill album with the Fugees album.    So here is the Lauryn Hill album that Apple music says is the number one album of all time but there is a little controversy regarding the last few songs! A...

Hey folks. I wasn't able to get an episode done this week. Why? It's not important. You want to know? Ok. I am at the cabin but I normally use my dad's computer when I am here but he wasn't here. No big deal? I have my wifes computer. I record on it but there is no GARAGE BAND so I was not able to edit it until my dad came up. I am 44 years old.    This is the episode on the Fugees. Apple music ju...
