On June 19th at 12:30pm, it came as a surprise to AFC Bournemouth and the wider footballing world that Gary O’Neil had been relieved of his duties as AFC Bournemouth head coach, just over a month after Cherries confirmed their Premier League survival. He was replaced, almost immediately, with Spaniard Andoni Iraola. 194 - How Did The Media Get It So Wrong? 16.05.2023

Nearly every pundit had us down. From Youtubers, TV pundits, and even ex-managers - as Harry Redknapp came on the channel to suggest Bournemouth might be doomed! But how did they get it so badly wrong, and why didn't our takeover and January transfer business make any of their ears prick up? Sam and Tom discuss the Cherries season, and ponder whether our survival with games to spare might actually...

193 - The Vegas GAMBLE That Divided Supporters 01.05.2023

The Leeds owner was reportedly in tears and Jack Harrison was despondently sat all on his own after a very disorganised Leeds United lost 4-1 to Gary O'Neil's AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court on Sunday. Cherries fans were singing Gary's name once more on the terraces as the head coach masterminded a near-perfect performance against Javi Gracia's men, all but securing Premier League football for Bosco...

192 - An Alarming Afternoon 24.04.2023

After the jubilation and euphoria of Bournemouth's win at Spurs, Cherries fans thought the arrival of West Ham might provide a "kick on" moment - but with the capitulation against Hammers being so severe, many are concerned that the 4-0 defeat is just another case of a step forward being countered with two steps back. Does it matter though? Or is it a worrying signal? 🔳 What formation were we? 🔳...

191 - Scenes At Spurs! 17.04.2023

After AFC Bournemouth's stunning 3-2 win on Saturday, the football world saw Tottenham's loss as simply another case of the North London club being "Spursy", meanwhile, Cherries fans were keen to highlight their own strengths, exclaiming that the Cristian Stellini's men had simply been "Dangoed". Sam Davis, Tom Jordan and Neil Dawson sink their teeth into Saturday's stunning win at Tottenham, tack...

190 - Leicester Outfoxed! 11.04.2023

After Cherries disposed of Leicester City 1-0 on Saturday, Bournemouth's chances of survival look decidedly better, and on what looks to be a huge weekend of Premier League results, we take a deep dive into the game at the King Power Stadium, and determine whether we think it could be looked back on as a pivotal game for both sides. Then, the Predictor IS BACK! We use our football "know-how" to de...

189 - Now Can We Push On? 03.04.2023

It was a game of two halves at Dean Court today as two substitutions in the interval inspired a second half fightback against Fulham which saw Marcus Tavernier and Dom Solanke net a goal each to secure a VITAL three points for Gary O'Neil's men. There was delirium in the stands as Tavs's wonder-strike lit the blue touch paper to inspire a stunning Cherries turnaround against the Cottagers, after a...

188 - Consistently Inconsistent 20.03.2023

Amid classy scenes from the Aston Villa faithful who joined Bournemouth supporters in welcoming back David Brooks, there were some bittersweet emotions amongst fans on Saturday, as Cherries' inconsistencies continued after a puzzling performance which has ultimately provided more questions than answers. Are we four at the back? Or maybe we're a three? Are we over-burdening the players? On this pod...

187 - Sal-ah-ha-ha! 13.03.2023

It's easy to for things to feel different after a win, but with AFC Bournemouth climbing to 18th in the table over the weekend, there is a "glass half full" feeling starting to spread amongst the Cherries fanbase after Gary O'Neil's side produced the shock of the weekend to beat Liverpool 1-0 - a result which went some way towards avenging the 9-0 humiliation at Anfield earlier in the season. Even...

186 - Last Gasp Heartbreak 06.03.2023

On Saturday, Bournemouth fans travelled to North London expecting nothing, but after taking a surprise 2-0 lead, Gary O'Neil's men were on course to cause the shock of the season. However, the latter stages of the game saw a remarkable turnaround which produced WILD scenes at the Emirates - keeping Arsenal five points clear at the top, which condemns the Cherries to drop to rock bottom. After the...

185 - The Things We MUST Improve! 03.03.2023

Last week, AFC Bournemouth fans seemed exasperated by going five at the back against Manchester City, because it is a formation which has yielded so LITTLE for Cherries this season! After the 4-1 loss that ensued, supporters now turn their attention to this weekend's clash against Arsenal, and are questioning as to whether any lessons will be learned from the home humbling, or whether we'll simply...

184 - A Win At Wolves 20.02.2023

Gary O'Neil saw his first win as permanent boss in a 1-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, so Sam Davis and Tom Jordan are joined by Daily Echo Sports Reporter Jack Tanner - to talk all things Cherries, including a chance to tackle some unpopular opinions and controversial takes on AFC Bournemouth! In what was his first start since November, Marcus Tavernier met Dominic Solanke's cro...

183 - Can We Do That Every Week? 13.02.2023

After Saturday's draw with Newcastle United, AFC Bournemouth fans have been given hope for the first time since Gary O'Neil took over his role on a permanent basis. Whilst the 1-1 draw against high-flying Newcastle United does change our league position nor our "relegation favourites" tag, the improved showing provided Cherries fans with hope and positivity ahead of a challenging second half of th...

182 - It's Getting Untenable 06.02.2023

As Leeds United part with their manager Jesse Marsch, Cherries fans are now pondering at what point the AFC Bournemouth hierarchy might consider Gary O'Neil's position untenable. The Cherries loss against Brighton at the weekend has wider implications than "just another defeat", as it goes to compound the growing concern amongst the fanbase that our current head coach is not the man to lead us us...

181 - Improved But Inevitable! 23.01.2023

Two former Bournemouth academy prospects scored either side of half time as Nottingham Forest came away with a draw against AFC Bournemouth thanks to Sam Surridge's late leveller. It was a result that condemns Bournemouth to the relegation zone for the first time this season, and one which does little to deflect the scrutiny on manager Gary O'Neil, a manager that has picked up just one draw in sev...

180 - A Toxic Terrace 16.01.2023

Chants of "sacked in the morning" could be heard from some of the away contingent on Saturday night as AFC Bournemouth succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Brentford in a performance which, whilst improved, was still far from the levels the Cherries fans expect. The contrast of Philip Billing going straight down the tunnel versus Jefferson Lerma's extended applause indicates that this is a team with a num...

179 - Brilliant Burnley Banish Bournemouth 09.01.2023

Cherries captain Lloyd Kelly was the victim of booing on Saturday after our FA Cup exit to Burnley, and whilst his performance was under par, the same could be said for a number of players in red and black... yet only Lloyd got booed. Philip Billing rightly called out the booing as harsh and unnecessary in a radio interview, and whilst it is hoped that his words will have the desired effect within...

178 - Calamity at Chelsea and Pathetic vs Palace! 02.01.2023

A Christmas break has us put a few things into perspective. After some lengthy cogitation and soul-searching, this extended pod gives us a chance to finally express ourselves after a seven day period which has provided more questions than answers... We go over the defeat at Chelsea, and once again it is the MANNER of the performance causing fans concern, and not the result itself… Then, we’ve got...

177 - Gary O’Neil Appointed - The Reaction! 27.11.2022

Gary O'Neil has finally been announced as Bournemouth permanent manager after an extended period of conjecture and waiting for Cherries fans. A mixture of circumstances meant that the wait for the rubber-stamping took longer than expected. Firstly, the complexities of the still unannounced takeover from Bill Foley's led consortium caused some delays, but also - AFC Bournemouth seemingly had design...

176 - Toffees Chewed Up - Again! 14.11.2022

As rumours linking Marcelo Bielsa to AFC Bournemouth gain traction, Cherries put in a performance which would make him purr as they CRUISED to a 3-0 victory over Everton at Dean Court. It was a sumptuous showing which, if it is to be Gary O'Neil's swan song, oozed class and ruthlessness. Lampard's Toffee's looked decidedly shaky for the second time in a week, and it was goals from Tavernier, Moore...

175 - Cherries Go To Ell-and Back 09.11.2022

Tom Jordan speaks to fans who witnessed the game at Elland Road as Cherries squander another lead for the second game in succession, this time at the hands of Leeds United, who took advantage of Boscombe's naivety - to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3. Plus a look at the Carabao Cup, as AFC Bournemouth went two goals up for the THIRD game in a row on Tuesday night, but despite conceding, it...

174 - Cherries Drop Points But Is Kieffer The Key? 31.10.2022

Frustrated AFC Bournemouth fans react at full time after Cherries squander a two goal lead against Tottenham Hotspur, who netted three second-half goals to come away with all of the points at a dismal Dean Court. Boscombe looked favourites to romp to a famous home win before Tottenham Hotspur had other ideas, completing a remarkable turnaround for the away side. The Cherries looked offensively exc...

173 - Another VAR-cical Display 25.10.2022

West Ham probably shaded the match at the London Stadium, but we find ourselves once again in a position where the suits at Stockley Park say one thing, however the football fanbase - including ex-professionals, say the opposite - are the rule-makers killing our beautiful game? When is handball NOT handball?! Lets be straight, the Hammers' win over Bournemouth was probably deserved, but as VAR rea...
