Assurance on SermonAudio

This sermon explores the theme of enduring suffering with hope by examining 1 Peter 3:17-22, identifying the atonement and the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the two primary sources of comfort for believers. The text emphasizes that Christ's once-for-all sacrifice for sin removes the guilt and fear associated with unjust persecution, while His ascension to the right hand of God assures believers...

1. Calling 2. Purpose 3. Possibility This sermon examines the biblical mandate for husbands to love their wives by modeling their conduct on Christ's relationship with the Church. The central argument posits that true marital love is defined by sacrificial giving, unconditional commitment, and tender care, rather than worldly passion or conditional attraction. By exploring the doctrine of sanctifi...

This sermon explores the nature of true Christian joy as defined in John 16, arguing that it is rooted in the exaltation of Christ rather than personal circumstances. The message outlines four aspects of this joy: it exalts Jesus as the believer's greatest possession, embraces the believer through the plainness of God's Word and the Father's love, erases spiritual famine by directing focus away fr...

Psalm 20 is a royal psalm in which God's people pray for their king before battle and express confidence in divine deliverance. This exposition traces the psalm's structure — corporate intercession followed by assured trust — and reads the text through its ultimate fulfilment in Christ the King, the true Anointed One who is answered from God's holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand...

Job 23:10 'But he knoweth the way that I take: When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.' The sermon explores the theological significance of Job's declaration that God knows the path He takes and will refine him like gold through trial. It emphasises that life's sudden changes and hardships are not accidental but are part of God's sovereign, planned, and personal purpose to draw believer...

In Mark 6, we find a literary intercalation. The Gospel author sandwiches the account of John the Baptist's death between the account of the first mission given to the twelve apostles. Herod tragically chose to preserve his worldly reputation over embracing the truth. This stands in sharp contrast to John the Baptist's unwavering faithfulness, even unto death. John's martyrdom serves as both a for...

The sermon explores the profound declaration in Psalm 48 that "this God is our God forever and ever," emphasizing the unique deity, unity, and eternity of the believer's relationship with the divine. It argues that the Psalms constitute the only inspired songs for Christian worship, grounding the church's identity in the unchanging nature of God. The exposition highlights the security found in the...

This sermon continues to explore the comprehensive scope of God's providence, emphasizing His sovereign control over the preservation of Scripture, the formation of individuals, and the unfolding of history. By examining passages from Psalm 12, Esther, and Jeremiah, the message highlights that God intentionally preserves His Word and directs the lives of believers for specific purposes, from conce...

This sermon expounds on Ephesians 2:8-9, presenting salvation as a divine gift received through faith rather than achieved through human effort. The central message emphasizes that grace is the source of salvation, faith is the means of receiving it, and the nature of this salvation is a free gift from God. By explicitly excluding works as a basis for salvation, the text removes the possibility of...
