Almost Accurate

Well well well.. if the boys haven't found themselves a room and if it isn't time to apparently talk about what the streets are saying is apparently the most WOKE movie of all time apparently, that's right, it's time to talk about Prey. Which in case you want to peer through all the right wing bullshit about this being a woke movie because it dares to depict a semi-accurate view of life in the ear...

Well the boys are back on Google Meet and if the world wasn't already a mess, so is DC. Seriously... what are they DOING over there? Batgirl is DONE. DC is going around to everyone's house and erasing their hard drives, everyone got fired, and no one is legally allowed to even say the word Batgirl anymore. That 10 year plan they're talking about? Don't hold your breath. Anyhow... enough about Warn...

Happy Shark week!  We don’t talk about Shark Week on this episode whatsoever, we just are trying to get into the spirit of the season. But good lord are there a bunch of new things to talk about!  We’ve still been playing Stray and that game is incredible, and wraps things up witha delightful little ending. Sometimes it’s great to just kick back and pretend to be a cat for an afternoon....

After a much needed break, Jake is back from France and he's brought home a lovely souvenir. That's right, it's Covid! So apologies in advance for both a) the audio quality of this episode and b) the overall horrible sound of one of the hosts voice, and their general overall grumpy demeanor 😂 But it's not all bad news! Not all all- the boys have two VERY exciting things to talk about in this week...

On this episode Jake and Ryan dive head first (and perhaps other parts of the body first) into some more of The Boys Season 3, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale. Both of which are great, and man oh man is it a relief to finally be talking about things that are GOOD. No joke, we literally are in a golden age of good stuff coming out in the TV format and we are so lucky to be able to finally have new st...

This week the boys return with a new episode full of NEWS! How much new stuff are we talking about??! Well since we missed last week we have some content to catch up on, but there's plenty (a few) new things to talk about this week. How about that Lyle Lyle Crocodile trailer that just dropped? Looks good doesn't it (not really) How about how one or both of us thought it might actually be a continu...

Well.... no new episode this week guys, but keeping with our recent Star Wars theme, lets turn back the pages and take a look at the original Star Wars Trilogy! FYI- the only reason we covered this two years ago during the very height of COVID was because there was literally NOTHING new coming out, and Star Wars is comfort food. SPOILER ALERT- all of these are good movies. But are they overall sti...

Jake and Ryan might be a day later than usual, but that's only because it's taken a literal act of God to get this episode in this week. It's time for us to talk about our favorite all time folk band, it's Obi-Wan & The Boys! 3 episodes into each TV show, Jake and Ryan give the rundown on what are two excellent shows, that are hitting the ground running in just about every conceivable way. Yea...

It’s another week, but Jake and Ryan are still on the highway to the DANGER ZONE. That’s right, it’s time to talk about the (excellent) Top Gun seuqel, Top Gun Maverick! No spoilers, but this is one of the most fun, popcorn movies you can see in theaters right now. It’s seriously so much fun. Go see it!   We’re also breaking down reactions to Star Wars Celebration 2022, the newly announced Skeleto...

It's time for Jake and Ryan to ride into the DANGER ZONE for the very first time (or at least the first time since they were very young kids) as they take a look back on the original Top Gun in anticipation for this week's Top Gun Maverick. How does this nearly 40 year old movie stand up to our lofty modern standards? Are there certain parts of it that haven't necessarily aged very well? Yes, yes...

It's been a deep... dark descent into the depths of looking for new content this week, but the boys have ascended from the darkness and pulled out a mostly formed gem. It's time to talk about the new game, Trek to Yomi! If you're a fan of classic samurai cinema, then this is a game that absolutely nails the theme and visual presentation that it's going for, so much more so than other games in its...

Well it's time to finally enter the multiverse of madness. Is it as multi-verseal or as maddening as we perviously though that it would be? Well... probably not. Is it an endless cavalcade of fan-castings and excepting celebrity cameos from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well, let's be honest it isn't that either. Is it a good, solid, stand-alone Marvel movie with a compelling man character...

Jake and Ryan are back with a NEW episode this week. OOOOOOHHH. Justin Lin is out as the director of the new Fast and Furious movie, and we play that weird and awkward video Vin Diesel shot with him about a week before he decided to step down (was fired for fighting with Vin Diesel). But we have so many new things to talk about and so many news stories to get through.  Switch Sports is out and it'...

Well.... it's a second week of no new content for us, but you know what? We were able to find a rather clever loophole if we do say so ourselves. It turns out that Avengers Endgame released 3 YEARS ago this week, so that was the perfect opportunity to reach back into the Almost Accurate vault, and pull out our movie reviews from episodes 27 and 28 of our podcast.  We hope to be back soon with some...

No new episode this week folks, but that's not to say that there isn't time to take a look back into the past.... and realize how thankful we should be that there are actually GOOD things that are currently coming out now.  The boys thought it would be fun to take a look back at movies that fill the infamous podium of the 3 worst movies they've had to suffer through during the course of this podca...

This week the boys have been watching some more Moon Knight. We wonder what Ethan Hawke is going to do with that stone statue?? He sure did have an unusual glint in his eyes, we will say that much.   There is also a TON of news for Jake and Ryan to blitz through, in addition to a full-spoiler review of Sonic the Hedgehog 2! Is it as solid as the first movie… or is it more like Ace Venture 2? You’l...

It's finally time people.... for what seems like two years (or perhaps even more) Jake and Ryan have somewhat dreaded the day that the Morbius movie actually turned out to be a real creation that they would actually have to watch and endure... and damn if it hasn't finally happened.  So is this the worst movie they've covered on the podcast? No, it certainly is not. Is it an instant classic that i...

Almost Accurate is committed to brining you the most up to date information, and as a weekly podcast, we're poised to talk about information the second it happens- oh no! It looks like Will Smith has broken down the doors to our studio and given us both the swiftest of smacks right across the face!  Like we said.... the most up to date information that a weekly podcast could possibly give. We're f...

We feel like this will be a fantastic step forward for our podcast. We're really feeling the synergy between us this episode, and we think that it'll be an experience that we can nurture and grow together in this business adventure together, that will really help us consolidate our assets, and give you (the listener) the best possible podcast listening experience, all done with just one single dro...

The boys have a TON of news to get through, and they’ve also got a big new (ish) game to talk about, and a perhaps lesser show review to get through.   Jake and Ryan are here to talk you all through the news of the week in the upcoming The Boys season 3 trailer, a sneak peak of Umbrella Academy Season 3, and of course that very impressive looking trailer for Ms. Marvel. Man that was a well put tog...

Jake and Ryan took a look at the news they had this week and went "hey, how do we turn this into the second-longest episode we've ever done? That's something that the people want from us isn't it?" Well, even if it isn't, turns out that what the boys have done. Buckle up for an hour and 20 minute breakdown of The Batman (which is pretty good by the way according to Jake and medium from Ryan), plus...

It's time for the boys to load up and ride back off into the sunset... which we all know from a geographical perspective means that the sun sets in the west.... or even the forbidden west as some might even say. Who among us has even been all the way out there? Might there even be some gigantic robotic monstrosity the likes of which we haven't even seen once we cross over into that threshold? It's...

Well well well.... Sony sure had a big day last week didn't they? Not only did they release their major motion picture starting a certain Thomas Holland and a certain Mark(us) Wahlberg, they also put out Horizon Forbidden West, a highly anticipated sequel to an already ambitious open world game from a few years ago. Crazy they did both of these in the same day... I mean what were we supposed to do...

Jake and Ryan have a TON of news to get through this week folks. Like we haven't had this much news to just blitz through in quite some time so grab a helmet, grab a seatbelt and strap in because there's SO MUCH to cover this week.  The Super Bowl was last Sunday (you know, in case you live under a rock... or just in a place outside of the United States where you're not quite sure what the big dea...

Jake and Ryan are back for a ball-slapping good time, because Jackass Forever is finally in theaters! Is it a return to form for the classic cast, or is it a reminder that we are all getting older and it's time to leave childish things behind...... anyways, guard your sack fellas. You're never safe, even when you think you are.  In others news, Nintendo dropped a fairly decent Direct today, and we...
