Looks can be deceiving! Circumstances of life will either point us to a full dependence of our own understanding or a surrender to a high knowledge. “Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find…” (Matthew 7:7).

Gratitude is both a command and a choice. When one chooses to see the positive aspects of circumstances in life over negative distractions growth can and will occur. Growths identity is not always pleasant in its reward. Growth can be the ability of one to hold their breath under water in an emergency as to survive and not drown. The reward is life yet the process may be grueling.
