2 Guys 1 Rant

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, side of coaching competitive sports.  From the exciting conclusion of the Elk Point vs Provost U18 hockey rivalry to the SPAA Jr High Basketball finals, Ben and Trent recount the ups and downs.  Trent also talks a bit about coaching his last game.  It all kicks off with Ben's singing talents and end with Trent being speechless for the first time!

Literally the coolest episode yet!  While the cold snap would be the easiest thing to rant on, we take the high road and vent our frustrations on the provincial government.  Trent takes issue with the incoming floating fuel tax.  We also target the trend towards private health care, where Ben proposes a compromise!  Happy shout outs and upcoming local events cap off the first show of 2024!

Last Rant of the year!  Ben and Trent take a little time to follow up on some feed back from recent rants.  But this time we focus more on how grateful we are for the opportunity to have this podcast and the people who support us!  Thanks for a great second half to 2023 and all the best for 2024.   Despite what Trent says, you are that important to us!

Trent and Ben follow up on some past rants with some brief updates.  St Paul's football program doubles up on provincial gold.  The boys rant on how a local hockey team is paying the price for someone else's indiscretion.  Corey Perry was not involved with any of this episode though he was mentioned.  Of course happy shout outs and some local events!

We get redacted!  Trent is fired up about the Carbon tax being suspended for some Canadians.  The boys weigh in on St. Paul's town council's new bylaw regarding alcohol and cannabis retail locations.  And of course happy shout outs to the Lions and Bengals football clubs' bids for provincial supremacy and there's a new local podcast available.  

A reminder that Remembrance Day is just around the corner, Trent visits a carbon capture open house, we take credit for MLA, Scott Cyr, visiting the area to address the poor resurfacing of highway 29 and Happy Shout outs all under the watchful eye of our special studio guest Justin Anderson!  Only on hand to observe ... for now!

The boys recap the ongoing CO2 pipeline topic with some feed back from listeners and that sends Ben into a rant about the sad state of local, small market radio, which sends Trent into a tizzie about Tronald Dump!  There's really no telling which way these guys can go.  But they're the only podcast that's mentioned Gino Vanelli in 2 episodes and ripped a well timed fart!

Sophie and Justin split, no more news from Canada on social media and Ben loses it on the oil and gas haters!  Wrapped up with shout-outs to a few of our loyal listeners and people in our community doing the good things that make us rant less!

Crisis averted with regards to technical difficulties!  Ben learns how to use the software properly!  This episode Trent and Ben discuss the SWAT team in town.  Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert vs influencers, Trent gives a shout out to EVERYONE he knows, and Ben shamelessly promotes his other podcast.  All filled in with our own, uneducated personal opinions!
