2 Fast 2 Forever: The Fast and Furious Podcast

We've still got nothin' but time, so we're once again hitting the NOS boost (sorry, N-O-S boost) and diving deep into three consecutive Fast & Furious minutes. In this episode, we continue to decipher Hector's role in buying parts, find ourselves surprised by the size and scale of Hector's role within the community, and finally solve "The Hector Dilemma" (which only opens more rabbit holes filled...

We're cruisin' and spending one more night at Tubby's Drive-In before it gets razed, and we've got just enough time to talk about The Hollywood Knights! In this episode, we run down the latest news and rumors about the Fastiverse, crack open an overflowing mailbag, and run down one of the wildest Fast & Furious minutes in recent history. Then, we head back in time so that Joe can finally tell his...

When we worked our way through the Brian O'Conner lap, we realized that Paul Walker essentially played a version of Brian in every movie he was cast. How much Dominic Toretto can we find in Vin Diesel's portrayal of Bloodshot? It turns out: a whole lot! In this episode, we talk about the Dom/Madame M team-up (and why there should be way more of it), the film's other Fastnections, and whether or no...

How would a crossover between Fast & Furious and the world of Harry Potter work? We're diving into the mailbag, putting on our sorting hats, and figuring out into which house the family members belongs. Then, we're headed back to Los Angeles for Fast & Furious with special guest Liz. We learn her history with the franchise, kind of freak her out with our obsessive and intimate knowledge of the mov...

As we all try to figure out how to spend our days as we settle into the "new normal," we decided to release bonus episodes of 2 Fast 2 Forever each Friday. First up: we're hitting another NOS Boost to dive deep, Fast and Furious Minute-style, into three minutes from the original movie! We almost couldn't have asked for a better three-minute stretch, either, as this NOS Boost propels us to buying n...

Ever since we first heard Suki call Brian "Bullitt" in 2 Fast 2 Furious, we knew we'd one day cover this movie. We continue to kick it old school (in a 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback) as we head to San Francisco to talk about Steve McQueen's timeless cool in Bullitt. In the intro, we try to make sense of a world gone mad and dive deep into one of the best Fast and Furious minutes we've had...

We’re continuing to kick it old school this lap as we hunt for cars not adorned in neon on the streets of Miami in 2 Fast 2 Furious! We’re joined by Nate Milton of the Rocky Maivia Picture Show and The Kings of Sport to talk about a movie with a decided lack of Dwayne Johnson. What this movie *does* have is a whole lot of Roman and Tej, and Nate helps us break down their introductions in this movi...

Universal just delayed Fast & Furious 9 (or F9, or Fast 9, or whatever it's called) to April 2021. Here's what that means for Lap 6 and 2 Fast 2 Forever. Email us: family@cageclub.me Visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. Extra special shout-out to Ben Milliman, Jake Freer, Alex Elonen, and Nick Burris for joining at the “Interpol’s Most Wanted” level or above! Intro music by Nico Va...

As we continue to kick it old school this lap, we're taking our first detour to a pit stop with 1971's Two-Lane Blacktop, a movie picked for us by Ben Milliman over on our Patreon! If you've never seen this cult classic (watch it! it's a Criterion release!), you could think about Two-Lane Blacktop as, in a way, Race Wars: The Movie. (Except, also, not at all.) In this episode, we follow James Tayl...

We're kicking it old school as we kick off Lap 6 on 2 Fast 2 Forever, and we're heading back to Toretto's Market and Cafe for The Fast and the Furious. Joining us to talk about all things F&F are Marines Alvarez and Nicole Sweeney, the co-hosts of the Snark Squad and Cooler Than Homework podcasts! In this episode, we learn about Nicole and Mari's wildly different histories with the franchise, thei...

Partly to ensure we can properly celebrate our one hundredth episode in style, partly to do some work on The Fast and the Furious Minute document that we've been putting off, we're reaching over and cranking the NOS this week with our first-ever NOS Boost episode. We're just about one-third of the way through the first movie in the franchise, so we're taking time to look back, seeing what we've le...

Where will Eli Toretto's journey take her in this chapter of You Are My Life Span? In this chapter, the role of Mia is played by Cara Gael O'Regan. Email us: family@cageclub.me Visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. Extra special shout-out to Ben Milliman, Jake Freer, Alex Elonen, and Nick Burris for joining at the “Interpol’s Most Wanted” level or above! Intro music by Nico Vasilo....

Now that our minds have been shattered by the F9 trailer, it's time to pick up the pieces and try to make sense of the Fastiverse with our Lap 5 Tune-Up. Broadcasting live from Tej's Auto Service, we look back at the Driving School/Brian O'Conner lap that was, and look ahead to try to figure out where we go from here. We also welcome Cara Gael O'Regan back for her "exit interview" from the lap, ge...

Our minds were blown by the F9 trailer -- make sure you listen to our bonus trailer reaction episode from this past weekend! -- but let's go back to a simpler time (last week) when we watched The Skulls as the final pit stop in the Brian O'Conner lap. We talk about the most Brian character and the most Brian moment in The Skulls, the persistent wackiness and narrative decisions made in the movie,...

Justice is coming. Three words in the F9 trailer just changed everything we thought about the Fastiverse and what we could see in F9 (and beyond). The F9 trailer just dropped, and we're losing our minds. We're doing a deep dive into the (nearly four-minute!) trailer: what we're most excited for, our newest theories, and how this could change everything. We're strong advocates of going into movies...

As we near the end of Lap 5, it's (finally) time for our first at-home viewing of Hobbs & Shaw! This episode we're joined by our Driving School lap correspondent Cara Gael O'Regan (Wistful Thinking), as well as fan favorite Brian Rodriguez (High School Slumber Party), who is continuing his one-episode-per-lap journey to eventually cover all the Fast & Furious movies. In this episode, we talk about...

At long last, we managed to get our hands on the director's cut of Tammy and the T-Rex, so it's time to talk all about it! First, the downside: Paul Walker is only in about 30 minutes of this movie. Now, the upside: the rest of it is crazy enough and weird enough and unique enough to make up for it. Plus, Denise Richards is basically dating an animatronic T-Rex for most of this movie, so what more...

The Driving School lap continues as Cara Gael O'Regan of Wistful Thinking joins us to ice-surf on a car door and talk about The Fate of the Furious. In this episode, we discuss whether recency bias will put The Fate of the Furious atop Cara's rankings, get answers to some hard-hitting either/or questions, and wonder who's the most Brian character in a Brian-free movie. Also, we'll point out connec...

We're kicking off the new year (and the new decade) with our first animated pit stop: the new Netflix series Fast & Furious Spy Racers! In this episode, we talk about how this new crew fits into the Fastiverse, discuss all the new Toretto family revelations we uncover, wonder if we'll see future seasons (or future crossovers), and run through all the connections to the Fastiverse that this show wi...

After a chronological detour to Tokyo, we're back on track and skydiving out of a plane in our cars to talk about Furious 7! Cara Gael O'Regan of the Wistful Thinking podcast joins us once again on the Driving School lap to talk about all things Furious 7, including the intricate (and tech-heavy) plot, the possibly confusing end to the Brian O'Conner character, and the moment you've been waiting f...

It’s the holiday season here on 2 Fast 2 Forever (and don’t forget — we drift you a Merry Christmas!), and we wanted to celebrate with a family-style reading of The Night Before Fast & Furious. Before we get there, though, we crack open the mailbag, tease a couple movies we’ll be covering in Lap 6, and welcome a new member to our Patreon family! (Words for The Night Before Fast & Furious by Demi A...

While this lap's surprise reveal was (unfortunately) spoiled, one thing is clear: watching Tokyo Drift after Fast & Furious 6 feels right! Joining us to talk about all things Tokyo Drift, once again, is Cara Gael O'Regan of the Wistful Thinking Podcast. In this episode, we talk about the empathy we've built for Han, the many Brian qualities that Sean exhibits, and the movie's outstanding fashion....

Where did Brian O'Conner go between 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast & Furious? To the Bahamas, of course, for Into the Blue! We're taking another pit stop on the Brian O'Conner lap to talk about Into the Blue, starring Paul Walker and Jessica Alba. In this episode, we (once again) learn that Paul is always kind of playing Brian O'Conner, point out all the fast-nections that we found, and discuss whether...

Riding high off that Fast Five wave, we're once again headed across the pond for Fast & Furious 6. Joining us once again is Cara Gael O'Regan (of the Wistful Thinking podcast) to talk about her favorite moments, her favorite outfits, and the moments that made her cry. We also fire up another version of "That's So Brian!", guess the most visually unique car yet on "Dude, What's My Car?", and find s...

We're taking a detour from the Driving School Lap and racing over to the theaters to catch Ford v Ferrari (aka Le Mans 66). Joe answers a bunch of Joey's car questions, we separate the facts of real life from the fiction of the movie, and we talk about the casting of Christian Bale and Matt Damon as Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby.
