Climbing the Castle

This week Charlie and I take a trip to college in Monsters University. This may be our most divisive movie yet in terms of our opinions on it. One of us isn't really a big fan and the other really likes it. Which obviously sparks debates for us as usual. Yet again we find ourselves confused by how monsters work and live.

This week Charlie and I head on over to Scotland to catch a glimpse into the life of Merida, our one and only Princess from Pixar in Brave. Besides the fact that we have a princess there are many other ways this movie has alot more of a Disney feel to it as compared to the other movies we've seen so far. Between some of the music choices, character development and even just storytelling in gen...

It's time for yet another sequel and this time Charlie and I get another glimpse into the Cars universe in Cars 2. Although we both agree this movie doesn't belong in the canonical story of the universe. We spend lots of time complaining about things that don't make sense, discussing the many ways this movie could've been improved, but there were a couple of things we did enjoy so...

This week Charlie and I head back into the world of toys again in Toy Story 3. We learn the horrible truth about toys at daycare, get carried away talking about Mr Tortillaheads antics, and discuss one of the greatest disney villians and one of the darkest scenes.

This week Charlie and I take a wild balloon ride that defies all the laws of physics with Up. Join us as we discuss one of the saddest movie openings in cinema history, discuss logistics of a flying house, and continue our constant trivial debates.

This week Charlie and I take a trip from a deserted Earth in the future and head into outer space with Wall-E. This is honestly pure cinematic bliss and it's no wonder this is the only Disney movie chosen for the Criterion Collection. We laugh, We cry, we're caught on the edge of our seats. It's a perfect blend of everything you could ask for in a film.

This week Charlie and I take a trip to Gusteau's restaurant in Paris to get the tell of Remy the cooking rat in Ratatouille. We have a few more friendly debates, discuss the logistics of rats cooking, and have trouble keeping the show on track.

This week Charlie and I head town to the old town of Radiator Springs on Route 66 and see the tale of Lightning Mcqueen in Cars. As usual we have many questions about how the world works and what it's like to be a car. There's also multiple discussions of how this movie could've just not happened at all if simple steps were taken.

This week we Charlie and I have some differing opinions on the super hero tale told to us in The Incredibles. We have a few friendly debates, discuss shortcomings, and talk about how things could have went differently if a few changes would've been made.

This week Charlie and take a journey in the open waters looking for a lost fish in Finding Nemo. This movie is packed full of memorable characters and quotes that just manage to get stuck in your head.

This week Charlie and I head over to the city of Monstropolis to learn about the lives of monsters and how they live in Monsters Inc. Yet again were left asking alot of questions about how things work but we still manage to have a great time while doing so.

This week we're already at our first sequel. Pixar is dishing them out alot faster than Disney. This week Charlie and I have alot more questions about the world of toys in Toy Story 2. There might be alot of stuff we don't understand but at least we still have a great time watching this movie.

This week Charlie and I learn a bit about the world of Bugs in "A Bugs life" Where the Ant Colony would rather just give up and let themselves get killed instead of listening to the one person whos coming up with ideas on how to save them.

Welcome to Season 2!!!! We are now gonna make our way through all of the Pixar movies. Starting off this week Charlie and I explore the secret lives of Toy's and what happens when we leave the room in Toy Story. While we do find ourselves asking alot of questions as to how the universe of Toy's work this movie takes in a nostalgic trip back to our childhood and actually looks alot better than we w...

Surprise!!! We're back with the last possible season 1 Episode for now. Strange World was released on Disney Plus alot sooner than we expected so this week Charlie and I are diving into this Strange World to meet the Clades, an adventuring family who aren't really adventurers. We have a really rough journey with the Clades and unfortunately it seems like some of the Disney magic went missing.&nbsp...

We finally finished with all available movies in the official Walt Disney Animated Studio Canon. This special episode we take a look back at some of our favorite Characters, Moments, Songs and Movies!! This is officially the end of season one for now. We will be back with new episodes for season two at the start of the new year.

It's our final review of season one for now and were closing things out with a fun one. This week Charlie and I discuss the very dysfunctional Family Madrigal in Encanto. While we don't necessarily agree with how some of the family members act we can agree that they all sing wonderful songs.

We've finally reached the last of the unseen movies of this season that have been released so far and we may have potentially been saving the best for last. This week Charlie and I learn the story of Kumandra and the nation that fell apart. We both waited to watch this movie for the podcast and while it did provide excellent benefits of going into this episode fresh we also wish we would've been w...

Were back with another sequel. Charlie and I go back to Arrendale to deal with more problems caused by Elsa. This movie may be proof that sometimes a sequel isn't always necessary. Alright maybe its's not that bad and I'm exaggerating a bit but the sequels are supposed to improve upon the mistakes made in the first but this just took a bunch of steps backwards.

This week Charlie and I head to the place where we first met... The Internet. Ralph Breaks the Internet is one of the very few sequels we get to cover in this season and we're not mad about that. The story between this and the first movie is very similar but we get tons of new references and jokes.

This week Charlie and I set sail across the ocean to find out how far we'll go in Moana. I'll just be straight up,  This movie is absolutely incredible. Like seriously one of the best made movies I've ever seen, But that's all I'll say. You'll actually have to listen to this episode to hear the rest.

This week Charlie and I travel to "Zootopia" and meet the first ever bunny cop Judy Hopps. This movie is filled entertaining characters, loads of references and puns galore.

This week Charlie and I take a trip to the futuristic city of San Fransokyo and meet the medical robot companion "Baymax" This movie has it all, Bot fighting, car chases, explosions, hilarious zingers, and a loveable squishy marshmallow robot who steals the show. What's not to love?.

This week Charlie and I head to the city of Arendelle to see the story of the Snow Queen in Frozen. There were way too many issues with this movie for us to just "Let it go" so we go on a bunch of long rants about that even though we still love the movie.

This week Charlie and I take a trip to one of our favorite places... The arcade, as we journey into the word of Wreck-It Ralph. When you merge Disney and video games together you're bound to have a great time. Unless you're playing the Lion King, then you're in for a bad time. But luckily this movie is nothing like that. Packed to the brim with references, easter eggs, and jokes this movie definit...
