Spoil Me

Thank you to Heather for commissioning this episode! This episode I start on a new series called The Children Of Divinity, and the first in the series is called Awaken and was written by Heather's husband! So that's pretty neat. I really enjoyed the start of this book. It was full of surprises, from the writing style to the setting, and had enough mystery and supernatural fun going on that I reall...

Wow. Okay so. First of all, thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode and this entire series! I had a great time watching it. Unfortunately, this did not stick the landing for me at all. I really get what they were trying to do, but there were a million holes in the explanations given for things, there weren't explanations for things that needed them, and the themes I felt VERY confiden...

Thank you to Tristen for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, we get to go inside of Daryl's mind and see what it's like...and honestly it's confusing but kind of awesome. Also, Nita is dealing with Dairine and her father's feeling after her mother's death, in an effort to keep the family together and also to maybe avoid dealing with her own? And she relocates Dairine's bed to Pluto...al...

Thank you very much to Bert for commissioning this episode! So we get some real uncomfortable shit this episode, from several directions. First off, it looks like Claire's husband not only has a drinking problem but is also willing to put the moves on her fucking sister, which means that he could already be fucking around with someone else. He grosses me out. Also, the bus rodent is back. And it's...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! From what I've read in reviews since finishing the show, this episode is considered by most other viewers to be a major failure. Personally I don't entirely agree, but I certainly don't think it was executed well. What do you think?

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So this episode is the one where we finally get to see the shape of Peter's whole plan, and Rebecca's role in it. The kids are meant to simply be vessels to these two adult ghosts, and remain tucked away in a memory for the duration of their natural lives. But it turns out that Miss Jessel isn't as forgiving, or forgetful, as she seemed. Thank...

Thank you very much to Jessie for commissioning this episode! I can't believe I have to wait so long until the next episode! Gah! There is so much going on in this episode, but my main takeaway is the fact that these solicitors can apparently get away with anything and the judge doesn't give a FUCK. I'm irritated, y'all. Thank you all for listening, and I will see you in a few weeks with a new epi...

Thank you to Kyle for commissioning this episode! Finally, we get our first murder of one of the OGs from the crew at the start of the book, and we're not sure what's going on but we know it ain't good. I am so eager to see what happens to everyone, and whether there's a happy ending or not because frankly I don't know if this series has any interest in those. Thanks again for listening, and I wil...

Thank you to Arielle for commissioning this episode! This episode I get to talk about what I watched live a week earlier, which is the closing of the case of the Dean's murder. I really enjoyed the episode, but there are some substantial holes in it that I'm not able to ignore. I'm also quite baffled at the fact that we're already done with this murder, and I have no idea what's next! Thank you al...

Thank you again to Paul for commissioning this episode! Oh man, this season is going to be brutal, isn't it. I'm not excited about how much I hate Joe, because I have a feeling this is just going to be the tip of the iceberg. I'm also not sure what to do about Beth since I deeply sympathize with her but also am getting so irritated and then I feel guilty for that. And then of course, there's Lee A...

Thank you very much to Gabriela for commissioning this episode! This is the one where we get to see what the deal is with the guinea pigs all over the place in the coffee shop, and I begin to wonder if maybe Fleabag and Boo had more of a romantic thing going than I at first thought. Also, we see more about her loser on-again-off-again boyfriend, plus she hands over that statue to her sister's husb...

Thank you to Paul for commissioning this episode! Well, we're into Season 2 now kids, and you know what that means...moving on to a whole brand new mystery! Wait, what's that? Oh, we're NOT moving on? Because this last mystery isn't over yet? Oh, and the one before that from Sandbrook was ALSO not over? Well. Alright then.

Thank you so much to Gabriela for commissioning this episode and getting me started on this series! This episode is hilarious and sad and then hilarious again. So much of it is deeply relatable (as some of you know if you were there for the video) and then there's alien behavior that seems like a disaster in progress, a train crash you can't look away from. I am very excited about this show.

Thank you to Rachel for commissioning this episode! This is probably the most bonkers episode so far this season in turns of storylines being all over the place, however I liked it better than some of the others since there were no real problematic elements like there were in the episodes about the rapes. Bonkers, perhaps, but enjoyable and fun at the least, even if Logan was in it. :P Thank you a...

Thank you so much to Paul for commissioning this episode! Except no thank you, and I hate you. This episode. Omfg.

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! While this particular episode doesn't outclass "Altar Of The Dead" in terms of sheer weirdness, it's certainly a close call. Turns out that good ole Uncle Henry is actually Daddy Henry (at least for Flora) and he's got some weird manifestations of guilt going on. Also, we get to see more of what's happening with Flora, and I really feel bad for...

Thank you very much to Paul for commissioning this episode! And thank you all for your patience as I had to reschedule everything due to the disaster that is the entire state of Texas. I cannot believe all of the info that gets dropped in this episode, and it ends on such a complete cliffhanger that I was ready to tear my skin off when the credits suddenly rolled and I realized I had to wait until...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I really loved this one. Not surprising, since I've had a running theory about Hannah this entire time, but this was so much more bonkers an explanation than I was really prepared for despite me joking about it. I mean, even outside of the big reveal, it's more about the way the storytelling unfolds and how visually beautiful and unsett...

Thank you so much to Kelly for commissioning this episode! It's time for the next book in the Young Wizards series! I frankly wasn't ready for this one, though. I really thought we would get another book or two of Nita's mom being around before we had to cope with her loss, and instead we start this one with her mother already apparently dead and buried, with the funeral already done with and life...

Thank you very much to Jesse for commissioning this episode! Wow, so there's only 2 left after this and I'm frankly not sure whether or not the season is going to wrap up on this murder. It doesn't feel to me like we're closing in or anything, and I'm not sure if I want them to solve it, or if the mystery is the fun part....and even if it IS the fun part, you can only carry things so far without g...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So we finally find out who the dude with the glasses is that Dani seems haunted by, and I for one feel super bad for her. I just hate that she's finally able to tell the truth about what she wants, and is immediately punished for it. Really it's no wonder at all that she's haunted. Meanwhile, we're dealing with the whole issue with Owen's mothe...

Hoo Boy. First of all, I want to thank Bert for commissioning the finale of Dark so that I was able to avoid further confusion and watch it quickly following the penultimate episode so that I wasn't too too lost. That said, I am so angry throughout this episode that confusion turned out to be, in retrospect, something I needn't have worried about. This will go down in my mental Hall Of Shame as on...

Thank you very much to Paul for commissioning this episode! I'm so into this show, y'all. This is turning out to be a story about how a murder rips apart a family and a community just as much as it's a story about catching a murderer. We get to see the ripple effects of this investigation hit Jack Marshall as squarely as if he were the intended target, when in the end it really looks like he had n...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode of The Haunting Of Bly Manor! This episode fills in a lot of the story regarding Becca and Pete's relationship, and I found this very effective. I don't know who was in charge of the majority of Pete's dialogue and directing, but I think this show did a better job depicting the gradual escalation of an abusive relationship than most othe...

Thank you very much to Arielle for commissioning this episode! So we've got another murder on our hands, theydies and gentlethems, and personally I'm delighted. That guy seemed like he sucked, and we needed a little more going on than just the Dean, IMO. I haven't got a real theory about the connection, but I assume they're connected since it seems like the Coach's murder storyline is going to spa...
