Spoil Me

Thank you Rachel for commissioning this episode! I really found this episode fascinating even though I loathe the whole scenario of "You have just accidentally done The Worst Thing! How will you cover it up???" because it gives me a bone-deep anxiety that I can barely handle. I really find the whole interaction between Claire and Fleabag to be so interesting, but I mean, let's be real, what we're...

Thank you so much to Krista for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, we find out that Rob has been doing some experimental shit on people and I'm super duper not interested. DO YOU HEAR ME? I WILL NOT BE REQUIRING A NEWSLETTER. I WOULD LIKE NOT TO KNOW THIS. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! THE FIRST SEASON IS ALREADY OVER! I can't believe it! But I really enjoy the heck out of this show and I'm pleased to hear that there's apparently a third season on the horizon. This finale falls into the unfortunate trap that so many shows do, where the lead character is assumed to be the person we're rooting for, and it feels like he's being...

Thank you to Sophie for commissioning this episode! So this episode was one of those where the fakeout nearly got me, and I was so ready to be mad but in the end we actually got a happy wrap-up. However, there's more relationship stuff that kind of triggered a bit of irritation in me personally, so...GET READY FOR A RANT. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Krista for commissioning this episode! So these are the chapters in which we circle back around to Lurker and find out how he chose to handle everything, plus we revisit Gray Horse and get to see a rite of passage for a kid who otherwise is about to go down a bad road. Thank you so much for listening, and I will see you again soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where the school dance brings out the absolute MOST from practically every character, and in some cases it's really satisfying, while in others I am left feeling a bit peckish and want another serving or maybe some dessert. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Krista for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters where we see some people make an interesting choice and decide against fleeing to the countryside, choosing instead to demolish their city to make it more difficult for the robots to move around. There's a lot of other stuff, too! Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Patricia for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones in which everything seems to get back to some semblance of normalcy, by which I mean Kit and Nita hang out and chat, Nita and Dairine make up, and Nita goes to Tom for guidance. I'm very curious about Nita's counselor, though, and I can't help but wonder if he's a wizard, too. Thanks for listening, and I will see you...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! Oh man, I'm so mad, y'all. I'm so so mad. I actually liked a lot of this episode, but OTIS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Krista for commissioning this episode! So in case you're confused about how this covers into Chapter 1, which by all rights should be BEFORE chapter 5, I'm talking about Part 2. I know, I know, I didn't organize the book, okay? These chapters are the ones in which some of the more major....er, incidents? pop off. And one of them happens to this shitty little troll, and I wanna know wh...

Thank you to Jessie for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Ellie tries to convince Tom to move in with her again, and he utterly rejects her, with the air of someone who thinks that rejection is permanent. It's devastating, but it's also what motivates her to get serious about investigating the Sandbrook case, and they find a new lead. Turns out there's a furnace at the end...

Thank you to Bert for commissioning this episode! So this is the episode where Fleabag finds herself in therapy, even though she had only intended to get herself a refund for the voucher. And I think we can all agree, she's right where she should be. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Jessie for commissioning this episode! So this is the one where Susan comes back, asserts to Nigel that she wants to have a relationship with him, tells him she's dying, and then goes on the stand and bears witness against him. It's truly an odd move and I really don't understand her motivations on this one. Also, Mark Latimer basically dumps Tom and I am lowkey sick of this guy, tbh....

Thank you to Bert for commissioning this episode! Well this season is off to a STRONG FUCKING START, kiddos! I'm very much here for the addition of Moriarty, and I know that it wasn't technically the right call but I'm SUPER proud of Fleabag for punching the irredeemable asshole Martin in the face. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode was rrrrrrrOOOOooUUUUUUgggHHHHHHH Sorry for crying so much.

Thank you to Krista for commissioning this episode! This book has started out strong, and I'm very much here for this storytelling style, as we all know. I wanna know the logistics, and these methods of unspooling a tale are SUPER heavy on logistics! Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you again very soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So this is the one where Otis finally realizes that he has a crush on Maeve and tries his best to be ethical when Jackson comes to him seeking help on wooing her for himself. Otis attempts very manfully, but in the end he cracks and purposely gives bad advice. Turns out, it wasn't bad ENOUGH. Thanks for listening, and I will see you again soon...

Thank you to Gabriela for commissioning this episode! I can't believe that there's only one season, only SIX MORE EPISODES, and then it's over. I'm not READY. This episode we find out what really happened with Boo, and it's truly devastating.

Thank you to Agnes for commissioning this episode! It's time for the episode where Paul Rudd is an aging rock star with no partner, and this was actually rather fun and wound up surprising me in the end. Of course, the whole thing with Piz is tiresome, but eh. What can you do. Also, I will grieve for Mac's cute ex. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! Oh boy, this episode is gonna be the one that turns me against Otis's mother, isn't it? I'm just so disgusted that she lets her ex needle her into violating her son's privacy the way she did. GIRL. WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Meanwhile, Maeve is going to get an abortion, and I have a LOT to say about it. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you...

Thank you to Gabriela for commissioning this episode! Oof. Y'all, this show is a lot. I am always shocked that I have so much to say about such short episodes. Thanks for listening!

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So this is the one where we get a bit more of a look at Jean, Otis's mother, and I'm actually pretty interested in her perspective on things. Also, Otis finally gets a new client and it seems like business might be about to take off. Also, it seems that Maeve could be pregnant, but perhaps not? It's unclear. Either way, she seems very m...

Thank you to Agnes for commissioning this episode! This was a rough one. I just don't really know what's going on this season, but I wish they'd stay away from hot-button issues when they're clearly not capable of writing about them with any kind of real perspective. Anyway, I'm interested to hear what you all thought.

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I'm very excited to be starting this new series, which I didn't have any preconceptions about because I apparently confused it with SEVERAL other shows. So this was all a big surprise! I'm very much here to talk about this hilarious premise, tho, and I'm all about sex education in general so I think this sounds like a fine idea if it we...

Thank you to Bert for commissioning this episode! This episode was pretty intense, albeit hilarious. fleaback and Claire are sent to a retreat for Mother's Day, in a transparent attempt by their father to get them as far away from himself as possible. This results in an unexpected confession from Fleabag, and I really don't know how Claire will deal with it. Thanks so much for listening, and I wil...
