All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

I remember 06.03.2025 3:46
Looking back on lost delights, I have now got to a period when I captured lyrics of my songs on a laptop, would you believe thst guess is 2010-2020. I wrote very little in the early years of the millenium, turned for a few years to "ART", and the art work on this image is one of my pastel paitings from that period. No connection between the two creations, just the idea of "hills"
Bittersweet Memories 06.03.2025 4:30
I am falling in love with the pseudo-flameno /alternative rock style. Trying not to use it too often though. Another song without a clear dating, but likely to be around 2020. From memory I would say before the pandemic struck. I hope you like this as much as I do, although if you are not that fond of the acoustic guitar, if you have got that far, you could end by 3:30. After that it's all there i...
I've Lost My Baby (guitar mix) 05.03.2025 3:38
The first of two versions of this song, I actually prompted for guitar and harmonica - but Suno only gave me the guitar. So I tried again. This time I got guitar and harmonica - and piano. However, the tempo was raised, which I did not like quite as much. An apples and pears decision, I flunked out and picked both! The next upload will be the slightly faster version. I really do love both!
I've Lost My Baby (cover) 05.03.2025 3:41
As promised the up-tempo cover of the last song, with additional instrumentation Hope you like it?
The Happiness Tree 04.03.2025 3:17
A song for "tree huggers" from the 1960's. I wrote this after being inspired by an article in a newspaper on the international day of the tree, this year (2025) it is on July 25th. A little bit of fun really, I wanted 2 more songs to complete a playlist/album without drawing on material from this millenium. There were a few songs I had passed over in putting songs from my back catalogue through th...
My Love 04.03.2025 4:24
Another song from the 1960's which seems to have nearly been forgotten, but this makes up for it - I hope. The next batch wil be songs written since the millenium.
I Had A Dream (piano) 03.03.2025 3:54
I have said it before, the AI can work so much better when the lyrics are well stuctured, short well "punctuated" lines and with explicit tags where possible. I also find that lone wordy prompts can confuse the AI, and lead to more randomness. Well on this one, after 2 iterations I had 4 usable tracks, unfortunately I had to choose 3 of them to forget. The reasons where almost ridiculous, The firs...
I’m going back to where I belong 03.03.2025 3:27
Yes I know it's a silly AI image, bjut I was so amused by the guitar in the image that I decided to use it. Anyway, I love the song (I always say that!) The lyrics are mine, written in 1986, but the melodies are a little different to my original. I re-ordered the lyrics because it was a very short lyric, I probably meant to add additional verse, etc and did not entr it in date order (to my noteboo...
Still I See You 02.03.2025 4:00
Another of my favourite songs, I wrote this one in 1990 and it has a very similar structure to "Images" which I have recently posted. Not a lot to say about this song, except. I am unlike many singer-songwriters in that I do not write for personal experience. They are usually second hand feelings/emotions kicked off by a word or phrase which I have read or heard, that triggers the writing process...
She'll Find Somebody Else Who Can 02.03.2025 3:43
Another big jump forward in time (new family growing) to 1986.I think Suno has done a great job with this track. I have also learned that underlining a word /syllable can lead to it being accented by the AI, something I have had trouble with ever since starting on SUNO. I have never seen this little trick mentioned anywhere else. Lots of ways can achieve the effect but all are subject to the rando...
Images 01.03.2025 3:23
For me, unfortunately, this track has definitely proved that the ability for Suno AI to copy the original melodies from an acapella clip of me singing the song to prompt the AI has been killed off. In fact, it seems to generate a song with the flatest melodies possible. Maybe to put off people trying to copy "top" singers. But for me this is a disaster. I can still generate songs from my lyrics bu...
Look Before You Leap (I'm making plans) 01.03.2025 3:16
Ever had a problem naming you songs? Well I did with this one! A little country ditty, written 26/8/1983, I hope that you like it, and thanks for visiting.
Face To Face 28.02.2025 4:44
Another song from 1982, seem to getting intowordy lyrics and off-centre themes; whilst still staying in the same subject matter. Thanks for the visit and I hope you can like this track.
S.O.S. 27.02.2025 3:52
OK, a new year opens(written in 1982), after a long dry period, the style of my lyrics seem to have changed. I have chosen a genre which I have not used before, well in fact, it was in front of me as I typed in the lyrics..... Experimental Rock. I loved it (am I repeating myself again), so here it is on the first iteration again. You could say I suppose that I am easily pleased. Anyway, I hope you...
Baby It Ain't No Good 27.02.2025 4:50
I mentioned on the last track, a long dry period as far as my song was concerned. This is another from the some period (1982), both sets of lyrics are probably very forced but I decided to use them and experiment with genres/styles which I had not yet gotten around to using, Finding a few I became comfortable with and used for that reason. But this was a song which I feel was given a second chance...
You Haunt My Dreams 26.02.2025 4:55
Found this to be a difficult track to get what I envisaged,In fact I have been having issues with trying to generate music from a clone of my voice. A few weeks ago I though I had the process under control, but now from an audio clip although it is cloning my voice the AI is neither retaining the original melody or at time adding any backing music. I shall persevere, I am trying to overcome this b...
Another Lonely Morning 26.02.2025 3:20
After several songs which I had to spend time on, this was one of the first iterations of this song. It's great when a plan comes together (with thanks to Hawkeye) - if you know - you know. Again that spanish guitar really adds a zing, I love it. thanks for visiting and thanks in advance for litening
You Make Me Feel So Good 25.02.2025 5:03
Longer than I would normally like a track to be, but it took a long time to warm up and I did not want to cut any of the early part of the track out. If you have not listened yet, you may want to forward to around 3 minutes before the track begins to warm up. As usual, I would not be uploading unless I really like it.
One Of Life's Great Travellers 25.02.2025 4:06
Not a lot to say about this track. Lyrics are a departure from the norm for me, but it did happen, Written in the summer of 1981, at a time when output of songs had slowed right down for me. Maybe having better weather and a young family had something to do with it. Had to try a few times to achieve what I envisaged but it came together quite quickly in the end. There are a couple of words missing...
Think Of Me 24.02.2025 3:38
Trie a few genres but finally cam e back to my favourite, but again added a touch of Flmenco. Origially written 5th June 1981
Like A Phoenix (I Will Rise) 24.02.2025 4:53
Mybe just a little too long, I would accept that it could do with a bridge (?) although the chorus is repeated after each verse and a repetition of the last verse. However, when I started this project to bring ALL my songs upto date. I decided to keep the lyrics as written, except for glaring errors, Otherwise it woul take me far too long. I have somewhere between 250-300 songs. I kept the first 2...
Darling 23.02.2025 3:29
The only song in 65 years of writing where I have used the word "Darling". The song started off as a collaborative project with someone who I met via a song writing magazine. Unfortunately, he had to return to France, to look after his mother who was ill. I lost touch with him and almost rewrote the whole lyric, which is why it stands as one-of-a-kind from me. That was in May 1981. (30th to be pre...
Dont Let It Happen 23.02.2025 4:14
Sometimes, you hear a song and think, "I wonder how this would sound as ....." I tried this first as alternative rock (often my 1st choice) but not terribly successful. Maybe the structure of the lyrics - who knows? I then went silly and prompted for a close harmony group, far to happy and upbeat!!!! And then third time lucky, a jazz-rock, but I had to add a little something and I added an acousti...
Let The World Wait 22.02.2025 3:26
A short -but sweet song, the first iteration from Suno. Nearly there but not as envisioned. An acoustic version will be following this upload. This song was written on 24th March 1981.
Let The World Wait (acoustic mix) 22.02.2025 3:25
OK, as promised, here is the acoustic mix of this song (also with female vocal). I simply could not make my mind up between them, for different reasons. The last one was truer to my original lyrics, but this one has some great lyrical content. Hope you like at least one, pleas do try and fine time to listen to both, I would love to hear your views.
