The Cench

We break down another batch of albums, and the theme this time is the East Coast.

Theatrics, costumes, and comedy. Instruments built from around the world, and from around the dumpster. We celebrate the 25th anniversary of three of the most avant-garde records of the new century, all hailing from the strange state of California. Grand Opening and Closing by Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Book M by Secret Chiefs 3, and Buck Fever by Estradasphere.

We recommend some albums celebrating their 5 and 10 year anniversaries. Run The Jewels, Genghis Tron, Lady Gaga, Turnstile, Mastodon, and The Black Queen.

We talk about the debuts of three beautiful blonde rockers, the bands that backed them up, and the records that dropped like bombshells onto the scene in '76. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Blondie, and Crystal Ball by Styx (the first with Tommy Shaw).

We rock out to the international debut albums from the legendary AC/DC.

Back with four more albums known for their big hits that skyrocketed up the charts in 2001! Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, Weezer, and Blink-182.

It's Wu forever as we cover three albums from their expanded universe. Iron Flag by WTC, Bulletproof Wallets by Ghostface Killah (featuring Raekwon), and Digital Bullet by RZA (as Bobby Digital).

It's a tale of two Kisses between two very different records. Flashes of brilliance, and stumbles of stupidity. Our conversation takes a lot of turns, but eventually this band drags us into the gutter.

We recommend some albums celebrating their 5 and 10 year anniversaries. Tiger Army, Dare, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Dirty Nil, and Ty Segall.

We break down four albums that are charged with social and political heat, all turning 25 this year! Propagandhi, Rise Against, Pennywise, and Rx Bandits.
