A crucial lesson from this Scripture is that it is our faith that gives us strength in life, so we need to know what we believe and truly believe it.

So what we do when we baptize people here is testify that Jesus has already baptized them himself. We testify that a radical, miraculous, Holy Spirit-enabled INTERNAL cleansing has taken place. It is an outward sign of an inward reality.

First, we must worship in spirit. And second, we must worship in truth.

The central theme in our Scripture reading comes at the end of verse 7: for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. It's a simple principle. No gardener plants beans and harvests cantaloups. This remains true even if you pray very hard for canteloupes. You reap what you sow. In the Bible, this principle is ancient and widespread. It touches every aspect of our lives.

Do not carry alone what Christ never intended you to carry alone. Let the gospel speak to it. Let Christ bear your burden. And let others carry YOU the way Christ has carried them.

When Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, he said that the Holy Spirit would glorify him. The Holy Spirit deepens our relationship with Jesus Christ.

The main point of the passage is this: what we are on the inside reveals itself on the outside. And Paul says, what we are on the inside is pretty obvious.

The truth of this passage, like many things in the Bible, is clarifying, challenging and yet comforting, all at the same time. It is the counterintuitive truth that the context for authentic Christian living is a conflict that goes on deep within your heart and soul.

We see three things in these three verses: The Power of Freedom (13a), The Purpose of Freedom (13b-14), and The Peril of Freedom (v15).

If, as Nehemiah 8:10 puts it, the joy of the LORD is your strength, where do you find the strength to run your race well when you are burdened with the weight of trying to earn the favor of God instead of accepting by faith the grace God gives in Christ?

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. This is certainly a critical truth to understand and apply in everyday life. It is in the Bible because from the days of the Bible to the present, it is common for people to fall into a way of living that looks Christian and, in a sense, is partially Christian but it is less than w...

At the heart of this letter to the Galatians is a battle between two different claims. Some teachers claim that God will only accept you on the basis of your own obedience, your own performance. The Apostle Paul, on the other hand, claims that God will only accept you on the basis of his SON’S obedience and performance.

In this passage we glimpse two things. We glimpse the freedom of the gospel (vv12-15). And we glimpse the slavery of the law. (vv15-20)

God wants you to truly believe in the Son of God and then fully live like a child of God!

If you are a believer in Christ, you are ADOPTED. Sinclair Ferguson said: “the notion that we are children of God, his own sons and daughters… is the main spring of Christian living… Our sonship to God is the Apex of Creation and the goal of redemption.”

The message of this passage is that faith places God’s promise at the heart of everything.

We have not only died spiritually with Christ but have been raised with Him to new life now and for all of eternity. We hope in the personal and eternal God who has promised to resurrect us in the last day because we’re united to Jesus Christ. The Church not only knows the God of resurrection but is to grow in knowing the God of resurrection.

Jesus didn't rise again to patch up your old life; He rose to endit and give you an entirely new one.

God the father raised Jesus Christ from the dead. The significance of this statement can only be understood as part of a larger story. The resurrection of Jesus is not an inexplicable, random event. It is the powerful vindication of the most important person who ever lived and the most important message you will ever hear.

Christ came to deliver us from this present evil age.

These verses show us that Christ died so that by the Holy Spirit, His people would be united through Faith.

Galatians seeks to deeply press into our hearts the reality that our peace with God does not come through anything we are trying to be or do, but entirely through faith in Jesus Christ.
