In this Pro Wrestling Quickie, I look at the growing situation between Lil Yachty, Trick Williams, and Baron Corbin, how Yachty keeps getting caught in the middle of Trick’s United States Championship story, and one detail from SmackDown that made the whole th...

Bron Breakker, Oba Femi and Bronson Reed all made statements across Sunday Night’s Main Event and Raw — but Paul Heyman’s reaction may matter most. In this Pro Wrestling Quickie, I look at what happened across both shows, how Heyman responded to the people around him, and why the dynamic between Bron, Bronson and Oba suddenly feels a little more complicated. This isn’t just about who won a match o...

Avery Styles went from chair controversy on the indies to signing with TNA. Now the real test is whether he can become more than just AJ Styles’ son. But being AJ Styles’ son can only get him through the door. In this episode of Pro Wrestling Quickie, Trist...

Ilja Dragunov is reportedly done with WWE, and I explain why his incredible wrestling ability may never have been enough to make him a perfect WWE fit. Ilja Dragunov can absolutely wrestle. He’s intense, physical, believable, and capable of producing incredible matches. But being a great professional wrestler and being a great WWE Superstar aren’t always the same thing. In this episode of Pro Wres...

Bron Breakker looks like WWE’s future, but Oba Femi already has something Bron is still missing: a character that can stand completely on its own. Bron has the speed, power, spear, presentation and Paul Heyman behind him. But what happens when those advantages are taken away? I explain why Bron needs adversity and a character-defining story more than he needs WWE to make him look even more dangero...

WWE has a championship problem: Chelsea Green is the interim Women’s Champion, yet WWE keeps calling her undisputed while Rhea Ripley is still champion. On this episode of Pro Wrestling Quickie, Tristen Law breaks down why WWE’s interim championship idea actually makes sense, how it protects Rhea Ripley while keeping the women’s division moving, and why Chelsea Green could benefit from the opportu...

Cody Rhodes said he doesn’t have to be the good guy anymore, raising a bigger question: was he ever truly the hero WWE presented him as? On SmackDown, Randy Orton explained why losing to Cody at WrestleMania changed him — and why he now wants to make sure Cody never becomes WWE Champion again. But Randy’s explanation may not have been the most revealing part of the segment. Cody’s response was sim...

The match was physical, entertaining and accomplished exactly what it needed to. Jacob Fatu looked like a monster, while Royce Keys proved he could survive a beating and keep fighting. But despite being advertised as a Street Fight, the action never came anyw...

Solo volunteered to watch his back because Roman Reigns remains the biggest obstacle standing between Solo and the family he believes he can rebuild. But teaming with LA Knight and Royce Keys at Summer...

AEW may not have needed Chris Jericho specifically, but it needed a star of his caliber to give the company instant credibility and legitimacy. When AEW launched in 2019, it had exciting wrestlers, financial backing, and a fanbase hungry for an alternative. What it still needed was an established name who could make the company feel major league from day one. Chris Jericho believes AEW may not hav...

Oba Femi won King of the Ring, but his SummerSlam path may have created a bigger WWE problem than Brock Lesnar. Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell sounds like a monster movie waiting to happen. It is violent, massive, and exactly the kind of spectacle SummerSlam is built for. But there is one problem WWE still needs to explain. Oba already earned a World Title match by winning King...

Sami Zayn is WWE Champion, but Cody Rhodes may be the real story. This episode breaks down why rushing Sami’s reign misses the bigger picture. Less than 48 hours after Sami Zayn shocked the wrestling world by defeating Cody Rhodes, some fans are already trying to take the title off him. But that kind of microwave booking skips the most interesting part of the story. On this episode of Pro Wrestlin...

This isn’t about asking Foley to recreate 1998, take dangerous bumps, or prove he can sti...

LA Knight questioned Roman Reigns’ special treatment, but the real danger wasn’t the complaint. It was the question behind it. On Raw in Italy, LA Knight confronted Adam Pearce and suggested Roman Reigns may be getting treated differently than everyone else. On the surface, it sounded like a normal wrestling complaint about favoritism. But this episode of Pro Wrestling Quickie breaks down why that...

El Grande Americano started as a comedy gimmick, but at AAA Noche de Los Grandes in Monterrey, Mexico, mask vs. mask turned the joke into consequence. El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano should not have worked this well. On paper, it sounds ridiculous: two masked characters fighting over who gets to be the “real” El Grande Americano. But inside AAA, under one of lucha libre’s most...

Gunther exposed Cody Rhodes’ biggest weakness on SmackDown: Cody doesn’t just want the WWE Championship — he needs it. On SmackDown, Gunther didn’t just insult Cody Rhodes. He hit him with one of the nastiest accusations in pro wrestling: that Cody is a “mark for himself.” That line matters because it attacks more than Cody’s title reign. It attacks Cody’s identity, his relationship with the WWE C...

The thing fans mock Tony Khan for might be the exact reason AEW still feels different — and MyAEW could prove it. Tony Khan gets called a “money mark” like it’s the final word on AEW. But what if that insult is actually the key to understanding why AEW exists, why it matters, and why MyAEW could become more than just another wrestling app? In this Pro Wrestling Quickie, Tristen Law breaks down Ton...

Trick is not just being pushed — he is being presented like a star, and the crowd is responding like they beli...

acob Fatu didn’t break Roman Reigns completely… but he may have changed the way everyone sees him. Roman walked into Raw thinking he could humble Jacob Fatu the same way he has humbled family before. Beat him, embarrass him, make him acknowledge the Tribal Chief, and bring him back under control. But Jacob Fatu is different. Roman barely survived him. Jacob didn’t leave looking humbled. He left lo...
