Exeter Vineyard Church
Exeter Vineyard Church
We are a church based in and around the lovely city of Exeter, in the South West of England. Our highest priority at Exeter Vineyard is to create a loving, supportive and fun community with God at the centre and us all learning to involve him in all areas of our everyday lives. We think we will achieve this by doing what Jesus asked us to do: make disciples.

TLG Launch Information 05.10.2026 14:56
We are starting a partnership with TLG - Transforming Lives for Good - in their early intervention programme. This involves trained mentors spending an hour a week with primary school children who are finding some aspect of school difficult, resulting in difficult behaviour or disrupting their educational opportunities. This scheme has the potential to change lives with just a small investment at...
One Anothering - 5. Support One Another 04.10.2026 24:07
The Bible gives lots of instruction about what it is to be church and how to do it. But most of the instructions aren’t about the things we might expect - liturgy, songs, teaching, architecture, rotas… it’s about how we do certain things or hold certain attitudes to one another. There are over fifty ‘one another’ commands in the New Testament. Over five weeks we’re looking at five themes of these...

The Prodigal Son (Part 2) - Sunday School Classics 16.08.2026 39:11
We are revisiting some of those classic Bible stories, often a staple of Sunday school classes, where we think we know what they're about - often simple morality tales - and examining whether there is anything more in there that connects with our real (and often confusingly messy) experience of God and everyday life. Today Dave looks at the little talked about older brother in ‘The Parable of the...

Dugmore Family Visit 05.07.2026 41:01
We are joined by Dan, Suzy, Ben and Beth to tell us about their life and work in Africa. And then Dan shares about the importance of having our past knowledge, experience and structure open to the new thing the Holy Spirit might be asking us to do. Dan and Suzy met at Exeter Vineyard Church back in the day and we support their work with YWAM in Africa.

Churches in Exeter have spent a week spreading joy, so today we look at what joy is, where (or who) it comes from and the amazing power it gives us.
Overflowing Good News - 6. Opposition and Struggle 23.05.2026 18:36
We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks at the persecution experienced by the disciples. They find themselves facing something really bad, totally out of their con...
Overflowing Good News - 5. Loving Service 17.05.2026 26:07
We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks how a seemingly mundane organisational change in the early church was not only a spiritual act, but something that allowed...
Overflowing Good News - 4. Going Public 12.05.2026 14:12
We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks at a decision the Apostles need to make - do they keep Jesus private and personal, or do they go public? We think about tho...

We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks at brave prayers - the ones that need God to do something. Overflowing Good News - 2. Loving Fellowship 22.04.2026 14:58
We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks at the normal practice of the first church. In many ways it seems pretty unremarkable, but there is something going on that...
Everyday Interruptions - 4. Overcoming Obstacles 19.04.2026 32:21
Alan continues our series looking at how so much of what we read about Jesus’ ministry in the Bible happened when he was interrupted. It helps us to see that God is far more active in our normal, everyday life than we might think. Today Jesus faces an interruption within an interruption and acts counterintuitively as he follows his Father’s leading.
Overflowing Good News - 1. Pentecost 08.04.2026 17:38
We’re looking at six incidents in the Book of Acts to see how the Good News about Jesus overflowed into new people, new areas and new opportunities. We’re asking how these incidents might help us see how God wants to overflow from our Hubs and everyday lives. Today Dave looks at what has been called ‘the Birth of the Church’ - a fundamental change to how God connects to us and calls us into his sa...
Easter Sunday: Resurrection Reality 05.04.2026
The resurrection changed everything, yet despite that we meet two dejected and disillusioned disciples unsure what it all means. This morning we look at Luke 24:13-32 and think about how we often find ourselves in similar situations - excited about Jesus, but living a life that hasn’t worked out like we hoped and unsure what God might be doing… if anything at all! We consider how to understand the...
Everyday Interruptions - 3. Tough Challenges 15.03.2026
It’s easy to think that the amazing things Jesus did and said happened in religious settings - at the synagogue, in the temple, during formal teaching… but if we read the Gospels closely we see that so much happened when Jesus’ normal, everyday life was interrupted. Whether he was commuting, hanging out with friends, going for a stroll, at a dinner party or a wedding, Jesus was often interrupted a...

Missional Focus - 2. The 7 ‘P’ Inventory 07.02.2026 17:34
We feel God is prompting us to explore how our Hubs can be more intentional in being outward looking. We are starting a process of asking God to help us discover his unique and creative ways each of our Hubs can do this. In this session we look at how Jesus and the disciples made a difference to people around them. We’re thinking about how God might be directing us to do something similar in...
Looking Back, Going Forward 01.02.2026
Today Dave looks back at 2025, telling the story of our church family. And we think about what God is prompting us about for the year ahead.
