True love for Christ transforms our way of life and makes us useful for His Kingdom. Knowing Christ is not merely one of many goals in the Christian life—for Paul, it is *the* goal. Everything else—status, achievements, religious credentials, reputation—he called rubbish in comparison. Not because those things lack value, but because, alongside Christ, they simply cannotcompete. David expressed this in Psalm 27:4: "The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to l...

Neither in heaven nor on earth, nor under the earth, is there a single political, religious, or any other human leader capable of standing before the Heavenly Father and claiming to be worthy.
