The Setlist Sip

Welcome back to The Setlist Sip! It’s been a minute since we've been in your feed, but we’re finally back from our hiatus, and kicking things off with a true icon. To put it simply: all the boys and girls want to be her. We are, of course, talking about Peaches. Her recent set at Midway completely blew our minds, and we're breaking down exactly why it might just have been the best live sho...

Welcome back to another episode of The Setlist Sip ! 🍻 This time, we’re recapping our absolutely wild weekend at the North Country Fair. When we say the vibe was crazy, we mean it. Where else are you going to find people in dinosaur onesies and minotaur's roaming around on stilts? It was just pure, unadulterated fun from start to finish. We’re getting into our thoughts on some truly unforgett...

Check out our episode for one of our favorite "one-man-band" masters, Kim Churchill. We break down how he seamlessly blends intricate fingerstyle guitar with kick drums, harmonica, and that signature coastal-folk vocal grit.

We fucking love Jesse Roper. Tune in to our latest episode as we talk about the night he completely shredded the iconic Starlite Room.

This week, we're talking all things Amy Nelson and Carter Felker after catching their recent live gig at Bentstick Brewery. We break down the show and throw it back to their unforgettable set at Winterruption this past January.

There's nothing quite like the energy of a true rock-and-roll bluesman hitting the stage. In this episode, we explore the music and momentum of Garret T. Willie, the blazing talent out of British Columbia who is breathing new life into classic sounds. We take a deep dive into his gritty, soul-shaking style and set the scene at Edmonton’s famous Blues on Whyte.

We are falling majorly in love with Major Love! In this episode, Camp and K-Fed dive into the infectious on-stage chemistry between Colleen Brown and the Scenic Route to Alaska crew, breaking down exactly what makes their live show such an absolute blast. Meanwhile, Katelyn fills us in on her night out catching the incredible Barr Brothers. After wrapping up our indie-rock debrief, we shift gears...

After that show, it is clear that Miina is one step away from being Almost Famous . You could feel the vibe before even setting foot inside The Aviary, thanks to that vintage tour bus parked out front setting the scene. Once the music hit, it was game over. Dana Sipos and Miina took over the room, leaving us absolutely completely in awe with a deep, soulful set that hit all the right marks.

Sometimes you have to follow the music out of town. We traded the theatre seats for the floor at Bo’s Bar to witness the backyard party vibes of Current Swell. Listen in for our take on the secret guest of the night and why this show reminded us why we always choose the small stage. Cheers!
