Jesus has made liberty available to us but there are times when we have to defend that liberty. We are not fighting to make available but fighting to defend what Jesus has made available! We should not be intimidated by the freedom of others – even though we may disagree - we should be empowered by it! All people have the choice to apply the liberty and freedom that has been given to us. We have a...

Jesus is the perfection of liberty. We are the progression of liberty. To progress in the liberty that has been given to us – through Jesus - we first have to define liberty, declare liberty, and defend liberty. It was made available when He died on the cross for us, but we have to take hold of it for ourselves. Jesus is the only one that can provide us with true freedom and liberty. The extent we...

The culture of heaven is family. When we are born again we are invited into that family! We have Christ within us and when we view ourselves as sons and daughters of God He creates a healthy family – body of Christ – through us and with us. God longs to do thing through each of us! We need to view people as our brothers and sister through Christ not as sinners or we will never have system that val...

In Christ you are FREE, because He made you free. LIBERTY is available to every person no matter your race or gender - EVERYONE! It's available for you to take and apply. God gives us the ability to choose to apply His Liberty. You can't experience it, if you don't apply it. God loves you whether you embrace Him or reject Him. Our Liberty that God gave us - comes in connection and requires us to l...

The truth brings us freedom. Lies and deception entangle us in bondage. When we stand fast, hold our ground, in the truth of God’s word, we have liberty. Jesus gives us liberty even when our circumstances look as if we don’t have personal freedom. Our hearts can live in liberty though we may not feel it. “Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free – not partially, but completely and wonderf...

Race, status, and gender are on the same playing field in Christ. They are all equal in opportunity and equal in need. We all need a Savior! Though we are all equal in Christ, oppression, and injustice still happen in our world today. We have to acknowledge the injustice that happens in our society even if we have not contributed to it. Racism and injustice cannot be in Christ. “And we no longer s...

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and WHERE the Spirit of the Lord is, THERE is LIBERTY. When we are filled with Holy Spirit, we have liberty in our life. The Holy Spirit is not just with us, but in us - God dwelling on the inside of us. His presence in us - LIBERTY located in us - brings us freedom from addiction, breaks off chains and attitudes. When we are filled with Holy Spirit, and Living in Liber...

As we live in unprecedented times of social distancing we are far more removed from people than we have been in the past. Though we are not able to gather together as a community God is still drawing near to us and moving in our world in a unique way. He has hit the pause button in our lives and invited us to lean in and draw close to Him again. We have more time to be engaged in His presence and...

What is your focus on? Distraction from the promises of God and the places we are going can keep us from overcoming. If we focus on the promises of God above all else we can partake from His promises! What we focus on is what we partake from. When we know what God’s promises in our lives are we have to pursue them. When we reach our inheritance, promise, we have to possess it. The promises of God...

When we have the word of the Lord in our hearts we can speak with confidence that we will overcome! The opposition that we see may be great but He who is within us is greater. The word of the Lord helps us to have the spiritual stamina to endure the process of overcoming. We have to drive out the opposition with confrontation. We will never drive out what we will not confront! If the Lord is with...

When we are faced with real-life hardships and circumstances we can choose to, passively accept a life that is less than what God has intended, or we can fight to overcome the opposition to live the best life God has for us! The process of overcoming evil – negative actions, thought patterns or negative things that have been said or done to us, etc. – with the goodness of God creates opposition. “...

Why will we overcome? Caleb was certain that the one – God – who was WITH them could overcome. He was certain of the ability, the power, the might to endure and prevail that came from partnering with the Lord. The uncertainty of what was ahead of him was overcome by the certainty of Who was with him. When we are with God we are overcomers! SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-notes We invite y...

Overcoming Power- Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection was the opening of a door into the possibilities of walking into something the Father has prepared for us! God has prepared – through Jesus – a different life and inheritance for us. Just like the spies in Numbers 13, we have to see the inheritance and the different life or we will never know that there is a different way to live. When we se...

Some people see opposition, while some people see opportunity. Some people see problems while some people see possibilities. Caleb in Numbers 13 saw what everyone else saw, BUT he SAID something different than what everyone else said. Caleb’s words were not a REACTION to a circumstance around him but rather a REFLECTION of the belief that was within him! An Overcoming Spirit speaks from REVELATION...

When the Israelites went to spy out the land – Numbers 13 – they were told to find out if the people there were strong or weak, if they dwelt in camps or strongholds, and check if the land was rich or poor. God never lied to them about who was inhabiting the land instead He said, “Be of good courage!” It was true that they could overcome the land and possess it – as God had already commanded – but...

When we face adversity, we can respond in one of two ways, we can choose to be overwhelmed, or we can choose to overcome. To overcome we need courage! Courage means, to venture, withstand or persevere through danger, fear or difficulty. Courage is there but we’ve got to call upon and take hold of it. In the absence of danger, fear, and difficulty courage cannot exist. There is no need for courage...

The Peace of God - "Shalom" - in Hebrew means "destroy the authority attached to chaos." Paul Martini shares his life message from a place of believing the world's definition of peace (the absence of conflict) to knowing the power of God's peace. The peace of God is so powerful - it actually guards you. The Peace of God is not the absence of conflict, but rather it transcends and overcomes conflic...

You have a gift of God. Paul reminds Timothy to stir up – re-kindle – the gift that God has placed in him. Just like Timothy you have the responsibility of stirring up your own gifts. When your gift is not being used there’s a gap that others could fall through. You fill a gap that no one else can. Which gap are you filling? SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-notes We invite you to explore o...

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. You have the ability to make people around you feel whole rather than making holes in them. In other words. We have gifts from God that fill holes. We don't have all the same gifts, but rather our gifts are different able to fill specific vacancies. The gift of God in you was created for a purpose and a calling. How are you using those gifts to serve and meet the needs of o...

I can punch my Bible time with Jesus real easy, but if we're just doing it in the form and function of it, then we're in a real good religion. Religion is form without power, and what I need, what the world needs - is the power from heaven so I can impact the world. Spending time in the presence with God takes the things I value and I attain to be and produces a core value in me that actually matc...

How are we going to experience everything God has for us? By faith! My faith doesn’t tell God what to do, it connects me to receive what He has already done. The manager at a grocery store doesn’t walk beside you and put the things you need in your cart. They have already made it available on the shelves and you have to put it in your cart. There might be things on the shelf that you choose not to...

Pray believing! Praying believing is not making things available to us that were not already there or persuading God to give us something. He has already made His promises available to us, all we have to do is receive them. When we pray it should first come from a place of faith from believing - firmly persuaded, believe to the extent of complete trust or reliance on – we often pray from the place...

How often should we pray? Luke 18:1 “…men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” Pray always! It doesn’t mean praying all the time but praying on every occasion no matter how small. How long should we pray? The widow in Luke 18 continually came to the unjust judge until her goal - justice - was accomplished. Her request was not attached to a time frame, but it was attached to a goal. Our Heaven...

In order for God to pour new things into our lives, we have to remain soft and flexible to expand our capacity. Is it possible that fasting keeps us soft and flexible for the new things God wants to pour into our lives? Matthew 9:17 says, “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wine...

Prayer and fasting is about breakthrough spiritually that could not otherwise. Jesus said prayer and fasting is necessary to get breakthrough in certain areas. Because of Christ we can come to Him boldly and confidently in our prayer and fasting. It is when we understand our identity in Christ and our rights as heirs of God, we can come boldly to His throne and pray persistently and believing. Wha...
