Biblical fasting is abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. We are going after Him when we fast. It’s not about what we are depriving ourselves of but rather what we are prioritizing. Prayer and fasting do not move and manipulate God to do something that He wasn’t planning on doing, it moves our hearts into alignment with Him. We fast to become better people because we get more of Him! We in...

Who do you answer to? Prayer and fasting is one way of humbling ourselves before God. When we humble ourselves, we are bowing down to something that is greater than us. God doesn’t humble us we have to do it ourselves. Humbling and submitting ourselves to the Lord not only benefits us but it benefits our little ones or the people we have an impact on. We should be seeking the right way. He is the...

Does good news mean the absence of bad news? Receiving good news does not always come without opposition. When Jesus was born it was good news for the whole world but from a human standpoint was bad news for Joseph. After Joseph had already made a promise and commitment to Mary he found out that she was pregnant. She was pregnant by the Holy Spirit, and He had to reveal that to Joseph Himself. Jos...

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝘿 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣? The Bible is and will play out on the news - although it will be late and inaccurate - the Bible is good for current events and what will happen in the "End Times." This sermon takes us to the books of Daniel and Revelation to see the END through the TRUTH! The source of the ultimate truth is the word of God. SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-notes We invite yo...

Is the Bible accurate? In the book of Daniel God speaks through a dream and predicts the rise and fall of world leaders for the next 2,000 years after the dream was given. All of it came to pass just as He spoke it. He also spoke clearly about the days the antichrist would be active on the Earth. Just like the Empires and leaders that fell before him, he will also fall. Jesus is returning and His...

Are you ready for that day? The bible says that on the day of the Lord, Jesus will gather His people to Himself. For people who are not ready His return will be like a thief in the night. It should be different for Christians. He gave us the information we need to not be deceived, it's right in our bibles. We should be watching and ready for His return. SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-not...

Are you enduring until the end? Many will be deceived because they won’t look for the truth. Be ready to be the few because the timid - the many - won’t want to pay the cost of enduring. The end hasn’t come yet, but we will be hated for His name's sake. We will have to endure the hatred not ignore it. It’s not about those who start but those who endure. If we endure until the end we will be saved!...

Judas, one of the twelve disciples, betrayed Jesus and the eleven others were deceived. Judas had spent every day traveling and living with them yet they did not see his true intentions and deception. When we get away from the truth of God we open ourselves up to the lies of the devil. Neglecting the Word of God makes it hard to see the lies and deception that we come in contact with. We have a ch...

Are you ready for THAT Day? We have to live our lives in preparation for the day that Jesus comes back. If we get our cares too much on this life and we forget about eternity, that is when the return of Jesus comes on us unexpectedly. We have to be prepared for battle, to stand for our faith, and be ready to stand against persecution. SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-notes We invite you to...

Where are you getting your truth? The word of God is the truth we should have in our hearts and the truth we live by. In today’s world, we are afraid of offending others and not being liked. When we speak the truth of God we will have opposition and some people won’t like it. The truth of God’s word should be more important than the world's opinions of us! SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-...

"I'm not preparing you for a debate about Coronavirus, I'm preparing you for the Antichrist." It's easier to be deceived right now more than ever in history. There's so much deception going on, and understanding what is right and what is wrong has never been more difficult for people. We get into trouble and become deceived when we believe what is false - to be true, or to believe what is true - t...

In today’s world, it is easier to be deceived more than ever before. When there is so much information available to us it’s easy to be shaken in mind or troubled. When this happens, we can weigh what we hear, read, and listen to against what God is telling us. He will help us to be settled in our minds and beliefs. SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/sermon-notes We invite you to explore our podcast...

What if your life was more about moving into the “who” with Jesus than it is about moving into the “what”? When we move into Jesus we are being called into a new balance, a new way of looking at things, and a new way of doing things. God uses our movement into Him to reset or rebalance our lives and point us back to our first love, Jesus. He is the who we should be pursuing the most. When we don’t...

What does it mean to unconditionally surrender to the Lord? When we are completely surrendered to the Lord we are yielding and relinquishing ourselves wholly to Him. We surrender our way of living and thinking so we can live in His. Unconditional surrender- sanctification- is a process of perpetual and continual surrender. He calls us into surrender to give us hope! SERMON NOTES: https://theroads....

We are never going to feel our way into a new life. You have to make a decision, get new information from God, and start applying it and don't compromise. And when the enemy comes - say "I'm coming." You make the hit - don't take the hits. The enemy wants to shut us down so we don't release what God's put on the inside of us to impact the world around us. Transformation is about what you are movin...

How do we disciple nations? It's about connecting to Jesus! Too often we think about changing culture by focusing on what we need to prevent from happening, instead of what we need to start happening. We have a laundry list of morality things we think if we stop all these bad things then we will become something. That's called "Religion." We will not become something by what we stop; we have to be...

𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! Sometimes we get so focused on wanting to stop all the bad things going on in the world to make it better. BUT WHAT IF the greater influence is not what we stop, but instead it's what we start? How we view the world will greatly impact the way we influence the world. Are you ready to be challenged and take a look at Christian worldviews that are prevale...

"The influence of the kingdom of heaven on the earth is greater than the influence of the opposition!" Do you believe it? Do you believe that what God is doing in the earth is greater than what the opposition is doing? The devil has no delegated authority in our lives. He only has permissible authority. Unless we allow and agree and deliver our authority to the devil - he has no right. He has tact...

Our general mission in life is to influence culture with the kingdom of God. The way we do that as individuals is unique but the mission still remains the same. When we are influencing the world around us we are making disciples. We are ambassadors for Christ and we have a responsibility from God to bring His Kingdom and the reconciliation of Jesus to our people groups – nations – our walk with th...

Some of Jesus’ parting words to the disciples in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” it is a call to a mission of obedience and authority. It is not arrogance to operate in the authority given to you by Jesus it is negligence not to! There will people along the way that will doubt you and the things that God has done, but the focus should be on individual obedience, no...

We have to be connected to our true authority – God- to know the authority that has been delegated to us. Sometimes as believers we don’t walk in authority because we are waiting on God to do something that He has already delegated us to have the authority to do. God is the only one who can delegate His authority. His authority and His truth is never up for debate! SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.churc...

Jesus came to the world with a mission. He was anointed to save the lost, preach the gospel, heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, restore sight to the blind, and bring liberty to the oppressed. Just like Jesus we need to know our mission when we are engaged in a spiritual battle. When we know our mission and what we are anointed for we have something to offer those in need. Yo...

REMEMBER - the symbol of our faith IS the CROSS, and NOT a couch! Jesus said if you want to follow me - crucify yourself every day - BE A CHRISTIAN. Le'ts not focus on WHAT we go through but HOW we go through - as a good soldier. Embrace the resistance and opposition. A solder is TRAINED for the BATTLE - NOT for the BARRACKS. What God's grace has brought you through - gives you strength and author...

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is redemption! We often make decisions and choices that fall short of God’s best for our lives, but He gave us the simple Gospel truths to redeem our hearts and the plans that He has for us. When we live these truths through our lives we get to show those around us the redemption that comes through the crucial Gospel of Jesus Christ! SERMON NOTES: www.theroads.church/ser...

Wherever we are in life or wherever the decisions we make take us, God will always repurpose us for Him. God’s gifts and calls for us are never cancelled! Jesus takes the gifts and callings that He has given us and repurposes and reprocesses them. He does not repurpose us just for Him but also for us to reach the people around us. We are not perfect people but God is constantly reprocessing our he...
