Spencer and Cameron are going back to 2011 but with the 2024 Remastered version, of Shadows of the Damned. The Japanese super group of Suda 51 (No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil and Devil May Cry), and music by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill and Snatcher). Bringing together an action survival horror game that plays out like if Robert Rodriguez made an Evil Dead film....

Spencer and Cameron are talking all about the new Silent Hill game of Townfall. The experimental spin off that takes the gameplay into a first-person style, with a light pseudo-VR feel, but sadly without actual VR implication. Still, it's an interesting game premise, with a great story, intriguing characters, and fantastic puzzles throughout. The game does drop the ball a bit on some of the co...

Spencer and Cameron are going back in time to 1999 and looking at what may be the ultimate survival horror game from the golden age but really, of just all time, with Resident Evil 3. The game is firing on every cylinder, with a fantastic story, tons of enemies, great puzzles, dialed in controls, top tier graphics of the PS1, and of course the big new baddie of Nemesis (Who may be the make or brea...

Spencer and Wes are going back to the Australian western classic, Quigley Down Under from 1990. Starring Tom Selleck, Laura San Giacomo, and Alan Rickman. Directed by Simon Wincer. The film is action packed, fun yet with some hard drama and emotional moments, filled with great history, and a great story to boot. Shows why this film has held a high regard for many of years. Bringing you another out...

Spencer and Wes are going back to the 90s for a rewind review of the classic Patrick Swayze, Randy Travis, and Meatloaf trucker action flick, Black Dog. A total classic in the vein of Roadhouse, Smokey and the Bandit, and Convoy. With over-the-top great action scenes and a story that almost takes off too fast. A somewhat lost in time picture that really might be the top 5 of Patrick Swayze films....

Spencer and Cameron are talking all about the survival horror indie game from 2022, Signalis. That I like to describe as, "a sci fi pulp horror story about lesbian androids in Space!!! Trapped in a nightmare and fused with German expressionist story and anime aesthetics." A story is still on the weird, wild, slightly confusing, but nonetheless intriguing. With a slightly isometric top-do...

Spencer, Josh, and Cameron are talking all about the new Metal Gear Solid Collection and specifically MGS4 Guns of the Patriots finally making its way onto other consoles and coming at us in high resolution glory! The big dog of the PS3 era (if not the number one exclusive of that system) has been waiting 18 years for a supped-up version and one that Xbox, Nintendo, and PC players can finally enjo...

Spencer and Cameron are talking about the original PlayStation Silent Hill game of 1999. The big dawg classic of the Golden Age of Survival Horror games, at the top right next to the Resident Evil Remake and Parasite Eve. No matter how old this game gets, it always holds up like no other in its S Rank, top tier form. From one of the most excellent stories of Harry Mason trying to search the mean s...

Spencer and Ryan are talking all about the new DCU animated Batman movie, of Knightfall Part 1. A three-part series based on the 1993 giant run of comics about Bane coming to Gotham and breaking Batman's back. Then the other parts are how Batman rises back up and who takes over when the Dark Knight is out of commission. This here is definitely a return to form for the DCU animated movies that...

Spencer and Cameron are talking all about the 4th Metro game in its glorious VR experience of Awakening. After finishing up the trilogy we finally dive into this bad boy and man is it definitely a dialed in adventure in the headset. From the tense horror moments, the interactive environments, and a heartfelt, interesting story, if slightly still lost in exactly what all was going down for certain...

Spencer, Dave and Cameron join forces to discuss and review the new Halo game, Campaign Evolved. A remake of the original Xbox classic of the very first Halo, Combat Evolved. Is this new one from 343/Halo studios the definitive version to play? Well, if you got PlayStation it's the only version but still, that is quite a landmark to see Halo on the PS. Almost slightly blasphemy but that is ano...

Spencer and Cameron are going with a double feature review of 2 alien abduction horror video games. First, we are starting off with Body Harvest from the earlier days of Rockstar North. An exclusive on the N64 and filled with insect invasions that are harvesting the earth throughout time, big wide-open worlds, and jumping into any vehicle you see on screen. A lot of proto GTA 3 is here along with...

Spencer and Cameron are on to part 3 of the Metro games, with Exodus this time from 2019. A game we both had in our collection but have yet to fully get around to really playing till now. But this game is damn special. It's got the great gameplay of the first two games but now in a traveling across Russia by train type of adventure. With just a little bit of open world ness without ever feelin...

Bringing you another out of the vault, off the rarity's album episode of Via VHS on OMO Presents with a classic, rewind review. This time Wes and Spencer are finishing off their run of the pulp action hero comic book films of the 1990s with The Phantom. Which might be in the running for one of the best of the bunch. But like all the others beyond Dick Tracy, they still didn't get the recog...

Wes and Spencer are back for more pulp hero movie action with the 1994 film, The Shadow on a Rewind Review of Via VHS. Starring Alec Baldwin, directed by Russell Mulcahy, and written by David Koepp. Along with Tim Curry, Peter Boyle, and Ian McKellen to name a few. This film here is an interesting one. Some really great moments and also a lot of goofy and strange choices too. But nevertheless, it...

Wes and Spencer are going back to 1991 in the pulp era comic book movie of The Rocketeer on a lost in the vault, Via VHS Podcast Rewind Review. The little movie that should have been a bigger hit, similar to most of these post Batman 1989 pulp era superhero films. This one overall captures the graphic novel comic by Dave Stevens well, with just some tweaks to generally dial in the story even more....

Spencer and Wes are talking all about Taps from 1981 on a Via VHS Rewind Review Podcast from out of the vault. The military prep school movie that becomes a hostage takeover when the boy's school is threatened to be taken over. And just like the Twisted Sister song, they're not going to take it. Featuring Tom Cruise and Sean Penn in their starting roles along with George C. Scott, Timothy...

We are talking about Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem from Silicon Knights, the folks that made Blood Omen Legacy of Kain and Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. Sadly, this game here is still lost in time to only...
