Can you dig it? Genesis 26 finds Isaac the son of Abraham struggling to provide for his family in the midst of a famine. God stops him and tells him to dwell where he is instead of going to Egypt. God's promises and blessing we're reaffirmed to Isaac but all of it was tied to obedience. Isaac was obedient and dwelt where God said to dwell. It wasn't enough just to have a house If he was going to c...

Beginning in Mark 1:12 we begin to look at the ministry and life of Jesus. Before Jesus would gather followers, preach sermons he was led into the wilderness and was tempted by Satan. This is important because if we aren't careful we will see the ministry of Jesus and forget that he was fully human. We will read on to see Jesus cast out demons, and heal the sick. Mark focuses on how the people rea...

As we look at the life of David in this message we k...

In the first part of our study we begin in Mark Chapter 1. We discuss the writer, who he was writing and his writing style. We notice that he summarizes events that other gospel writers would explain in more detail. The opening of the book focuses quickly on John the Baptizer. We see how prophecy spoke of John, spoke of Jesus and how it all set the stage for Jesus to change the world. Knowing that...

Laborers for the Harvest! Church isn't about buildings, ministries are not about personalities. The kingdom of heaven is about people. Jesus likened people in the world needing salvation to a Harvest. He said if they're going to be a harvest, we need laborers. Join us for part 2 of the message on laborers for the Harvest.

When we think about God's purpose for us we become overwhelmed. We usually doubt our ability to ever perform what God wants to do. We more often doubt whether we can become who God is calling us to be. In this message, we will look at the call of God on Peter the Apostle's life. If you take a snapshot at different places of his life you may have reason to doubt Peter's calling from Jesus. When you...

The Laborers Are Few What is your purpose in God's Kingdom? What is the main thing God wants his people to focus on? Make no mistake God is focused on reaching every person with the message of Jesus. In the gospels, Jesus repeatedly talked about the Harvest and how there was a shortage of laborers. This means that there is a God in charge of the Harvest, There are people who need to hear the messa...

If I were the devil Most Christians live their lives as if Satan is not real. Most Christians live their lives carelessly without realizing that the enemy of our soul is out to steal, kill and destroy. If we truly believe that the enemy is at work, we would live our lives very differently. The Bible tells us to be sober and vigilant, to be disciplined and cautious because our enemy is seeking some...

Back To Basics - Serving Jesus had no home, no armies, nor earthly kingdoms but all through history he has had millions of followers. Jesus led his followers by example and by serving. If Christians are to be imitators of Jesus then we must make serving others a way of life. Serving is how we identify with Jesus, and become more like Jesus. Serving is a key component to discipleship.

Gods vision for the church

We live in a time of self, objective truth

Forward Thinking Part One - God's Vision For My Family We can have a vision but ultimately it doesn't help anyone if we don't have a plan. We can have a plan but if people don't know what steps to take next we will surely fall short. We can have a vision for our church but if parents don't have a God birthed vision for their family it's all for nothing we're missing God. Our church is about pursui...

Back To Basics - Sanctification part 2. "I prayed a prayer, I accepted Jesus in my life". "I made Jesus lord (put Jesus in charge) and he became my savior (saving from sin and punishment)." NOW WHAT? There are many who come to faith, many who believe in Jesus but few who learn to live for Jesus. How do we go from being in rebellion against Jesus to surrendering our lives to him each day? For many...

My House Shall Be A House Of Prayer The church in America is known for a lot of things. Programs, ministries, sermons, elaborate worship sets, buildings, outreaches and more. We need to ask ourselves, who's house is it? If the church is God's house, shouldn't he set the agenda? Shouldn't he decide what his house is known for? What would it look like to have a church that is known for it's prayer c...

Sanctification is something that you should hear taught in the church more often. What is sanctification? It's both the immediate and lifelong process of us being set apart from sin and our flesh towards God. Becoming more like Jesus is a process that we live out as Christians each and every day. We will discuss what that looks like in our lives and how to help accelerate the process.

When we receive everything we need from God by grace, through faith it's important that we understand faith and grace. Last week we ministered on Grace and how it empowers is to be forgiven, forgive others. This week we will teach on faith and justification. Justification is God declaring us innocent. How does that impact us when we've lived a lifetime of sin and rebellion and suddenly we're decla...

Part One - Grace Join us as we minister on Grace. Looking at Grace and how it empowers is to be forgiven, forgive others. We talked about how much of the defeated attitude Christians live with comes from condemnation and through grace there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.
