Ghosteas

Happy Friday the 13th Ghosteas! To get in the spirit of this spooky day, I thought we’d tell some of the most spookiest kinds of stories. Today we’re talking Ouija Boards and somehow also Appalachia. Two of the scariest and, in my opinion, most interesting topics we’ve covered here on the pod. It’s a bit of a long one, so get your tea and your blanket and we’ll go through this together. This week'...

When it comes to haunted locations, we all know prisons will nearly always make the list. But what kind of paranormal activity can you expect from a place known for its cruel and unusual methods? What kind of darkness lies in wait when the building was used for punishment that is known to have driven some mad, that is if they survived it at all. Today, we’re talking about one such place. The Easte...

We hope you’re having a lovely Friday and are ready for a chill! Today’s listener stories, as always, require a good blanket and a warm cup of tea. We have tales of haunted childhood homes that still haunt the dreams of our listeners long after they’ve moved away, suspected sleep paralysis demons that take violent action, grim reaper figures stalking someone’s neighborhood, and a possible message...

We’ve had a topic like this before, and I have wanted to return to it for so long! So when our Patrons chose this topic I was ecstatic. Today we are returning to our hometown haunts theme! Growing up, most of us have lived in a town with a strange, spooky legend or two. If there is an old, abandoned house down the street that your friend has seen the lights going on or off in the night, or if ther...

Today's episode is a fun one! For this bonus episode we're telling paranormal tales with a fellow paranormal podcast, ⁨ @BelievingtheBizarre . We're telling stories of Haunted Ohio in honor of our guests. We have a few listener stories set in this spooky state with haunted houses, an abandoned asylum, and possibly a mimic! We hope you have as much fun as we did! Check out Believing the Bizarre Lea...

If you’ve been here with us for a little bit, then you know we love dreams. The silly, the strange, and more importantly, the spooky! So I thought that since we were talking about dreams earlier this week with the Backrooms and Mall World episode (if you haven’t watched that yet, go check it out) now would be the perfect time to do our episode on dreams. So I’ve gathered a few dreams from our list...

Today’s episode is going to be a little different. It started with a topic chosen by Patreon, but as I was doing my research, it went in a strange direction. So let’s get weird for a little bit. Today we are talking about liminal spaces, dreams, and what could be a shared dreamscape between people who have never met one another. It’s almost a continuation of a topic we talked about on Patreon a fe...

Deep beneath the surface of the water, at the bottom of this manmade lake, sits the ruins of a once prosperous town. It’s frozen in time, bridges, roads, and even some buildings still in the same place they were 70 years ago when the river valley was flooded. Lake Lanier, today, is a vacation destination to millions who live in the Southern US, but that land beneath the water holds a history of vi...

Happy FIRST Friday the 13th of the year! We thought for today’s episode we would take on a theme that is eerie and unsettling… shadow figures! There is almost nothing more mysterious and chilling than a shadow that’s darker than night creeping through your home and watching you. We have plenty of stories from our listeners who have experienced just that! This week's Tea: Republic of Tea Vanilla Al...

From 1886 to 1922 construction on this 24,000 square foot mansion is said to have been near constant. Today there are 10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, and 160 rooms in this house, but at one point it was 7 stories high in some places and thought to have had more than 500 rooms within. There are many rumors swirling about this house and its origins. Some say it was the work of an eccentric woman with s...

Have you ever looked at someone you’ve just met and gotten an uneasy feeling? You’re not sure why, they seem pleasant enough, but there’s just this feeling in the pit of your stomach that something isn’t adding up. Or maybe you are about to walk out of your door for the day, but as you turn the handle, there is something in your chest that makes you feel as though you shouldn’t go to that event. S...

We are gathered here today to do our duty in telling chilling stories for the long winter nights, and today we have a good variety of tales to haunt you. We have dreams that may or may not indicate a dark presence is near. We have a quick story of a haunted doll that, story goes, can move on its own. As well as a story of a horrifying sleep paralysis banshee… I hope you have your coziest blanket a...

This week we are returning to England once again and talking about one of the most documented cases of a haunting probably ever! For nearly 18 months, a family of 5 was tormented by what some refer to as a poltergeist, and there were more than 30 witnesses who not only saw for themselves but captured photos and audio recordings of the activity. What started with knocking and objects moving around...

Tucked away in a small market town in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, England, sits a storied building so terrifying that ghost hunters who have explored it vow to never stay alone. The Ancient Ram Inn is hundreds of years old and those who have been brave enough to visit claim there is a dark and oppressive energy residing within. The claims about its past paint a picture of violence, tragedy,...

Oftentimes we will tell stories of spirits and hauntings in places where we can’t quite place the origins or reasons for visits from the other side. But then there are certain places where so much harm, bloodshed, and violence have occurred that it’s no surprise when you hear ghostly tales of haunted houses and entities lurking through the shadows. Today we are talking about one of those places. H...

Another Thursday, another episode full of our listener’s stories! Today we have everything from haunted houses, to possible interdimensional travel, and a message from our listener's sister when they needed it most. It’s spooky (and emotional) and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This week's Tea: DavidsTea Lavender Earl Grey Share your stories with us: ghosteaspod@gmail.com Follow us on Inst...

Ever since we did our first episode on past lives and possible reincarnation, we have been fascinated with the subject. It’s stories like these – of children remembering details from a life they never lived – that have kept us thinking about the afterlife. What really happens before we are born and after we are gone? Are the stories of people like Ryan Hammons, James Leininger, and the countless o...

Today we are bringing you more stories of the supernatural, all from our Patrons! We’ll be touching on some of our favorite topics, like sleep paralysis, shadow figures, mimics, women in white, and ending with a few spooky short stories from a stranger. Keeping with our theme of heartfelt tales this holiday season, I wanted to tell stories of Christmas miracles. I’ve put together several stories of good deeds at opportune times by strangers these people have never seen before or since in their small towns, coincidental moments where our writers get exactly what they needed in the moment, and even a few incredible listener stories of ghostly inter...

Can you feel it? That chill just underneath your skin. Or maybe you can hear the whispering voices in the howl of the cold wind. Maybe it’s the long dark nights, or maybe the veil is simply thinner this time of year, but there is something about now that feels particularly haunting. Spirits abound on these long winter nights, making tales of ghost stories a popular pastime for those getting togeth...
