A Sure Hope

Communication is an important life skill. So much so that there are college degrees focused on communication. Being able to be understood clearly can mean the difference between life and death. People will often unite around a common concern, but that unity only goes so far. When you put people together, something will always come up that divides them. Sometimes it can be intimidating to do the right thing . When doing the right thing goes against the crowd, it can be a scary pursuit. Many times, we wonder about the things the Bible doesn't explicitly address, and there's nothing wrong with asking questions. But when we begin filling in the gaps with ideas that don't align with God's Word, we can easily be led astray. Sometimes, what we say and how we live don't always match. We call ourselves Christians, but what if our actions gave others the wrong impression of Christ? We all like to live in our comfort zones, don’t we? Any time we have to take a detour or get trapped in unexpected detours, it can make us a little uncomfortable. Today, Pastor Dave teaches that sometimes, God will strip you of your comfort so that you are stretched in order that you’ll grow to become more like Him.

It can be easy to look around at the world and become apathetic about doing good. I mean, look at all the successful people who got where they are by being sneaky. What do they say?
