The TREASURY

Living in the last days presents the need for our lives to remain right before the One who sits on the throne and the Lamb, as well as a need for the Church of Jesus Christ to partner with God in a rescue mission. This mission is greater than any other cause in human history because what is at stake is more than the physical; land, territory, and even the physical body and lives of people. The pos...

One can wonder why we enter into patterns and cycles that we'd rather not be in. But have we ever considered that our activity in life produces more of the same fruit of that said activity? - Many are aware of the truth found in the state, "a man reaps what he sows." It's actually embedded universally into everything around us. Generally speaking, what we frequently give oursel...

How can God's people's suffering be what happens in the context of a judgement that has come from God? How can the people of God, prior to a period of wrath, escape this great suffering, and yet another group of His people, now in another period, be the subject of absolute injustice?  This text, if not looked at carefully, can easily paint God in the wrong light. However, it also has pre...

As believers, we understand that we can pray about and pray for things. The issue is that far too often, we have a passive approach. We take this passivity into our pursuit of the will of God for our lives, and that won't cut it when the enemy is aggressive. Some things we won't win if there's no fight! The truth of this is even more potent when some of the things we desire sit squa...

We can often wonder why we are not succeeding or why we're not breaking through. Well, what if we have every opportunity, and because of our own insecurities, negative emotions and impulses, we sabotage our prosperity?  In our SUNDAY SERVICE, Pastor Mike shows us how our soul has colour, and the colour on the inside determines that of the outside. The hope of this message is that through Jesu...

Carrying on from our previous SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE message on El Roi, The God Who Sees, Pastor Mike takes us to the first revelation of this in scripture from the book of Genesis. When we want to know about God's nature, it's always good to find that in the beginning so we may learn the pattern throughout the rest of scripture. Still, the message and the hope is that we can have an encounte...

We can easily assume the idea of favour is something automatic, as if people are just born with it, or we can feel it is for us, or perhaps not for us. Often, this is down to our experiences, our outlook and what we've allowed ourselves to believe. It's not uncommon for people to feel like they cannot be successful because of their particular context. It's also common for people to...

Sometimes as believers, we can struggle to know our place and even if we know it theoretically, often we don't even understand how it all works. To be seated with Christ... what's that all about? What does it mean? How does that help us when we're not even in heaven yet? Pastor Mike takes us to Ephesians, where we learn a crucial truth about our inheritance and our identity in Chris...

When we think of God, He can often seem distant, or the idea of an all-knowing, all-powerful God can seem too lofty, too out of reach... a little too grand for us. It's easy to feel like we're unseen in a world that is so vast, let alone crazy. Life is often unrelenting and filled with troubles and questions but little answers. Sometimes we just want to know if we're seen. Pastor Mi...

For the longest time, the idea of searching for love has filled our media. However, the rhetoric seems to be about the lack of good men or women available. The focus is often on how small the pool is for our search and finding the "right person", but there seems to be less focus on being the "right person".  Pastor Mike takes us into "The Waiting Room" where we learn...

So many people are horror movie fans. The industry grosses billions of dollars in revenue, but Hollywood could never imagine such scenes as in this message on its own without first consulting the Bible and its apocalyptic literature. The idea of the Grim Reaper seems fantastical until we learn that this figure may be based on the fourth instalment of our series. The implications are grave. It will...

When we engage with the Bible, we often engage with it like a book or something that has few practical outflows for our lives. This can cause us to render God as inanimate or someone who is happy to deal with or understand our treatment of them. Well, when it comes to the tithe and offerings, God lets us know how He feels about this. Throughout scripture, He shows us that it's a covenantal is...

Most of us love a bit of excitement, and oftentimes, we find ourselves chasing a feeling. However, sometimes, this can be to our own detriment. We can struggle to cope with mundanity when we don't have that feeling of a high; we search for another one, and another, and another. It becomes an empty cycle where we're chasing a feeling and if we crash low, God help us, because the search fo...

In life, we can encounter shakings. When we feel shaken by trials, we might ask, "Why, God?" What we don't understand is there is something taking place in the unseen, where there is an enemy desiring to present evidence against us. However, we can be comforted in that there is an Advocate we have on our side who has given Himself to be the evidence for us. In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE,...

Life is treated as a game by many, and many gamble with life. The highs feel really high; addictive even, but then we can find ourselves crashing and in trouble with sin. When we play with sin we're playing with "house money" it feels free until we realise the "house" always wins and we are unable to catch up in the win column. In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE service, Pastor Mike...

Patterns shape our lives. The issue is they're often unseen and incredibly influential, and the devil, like any predatory foe, uses our observable behaviours and patterns against us. Even though we should be experts on ourselves, we have persisting blind spots. In our SUNDAY SERVICE, Pastor Mike helps us study the life of Samson and his patterns and his enemy's patterns to help us see ho...

Hopelessness and despair are something many people face. They often come as a result of not seeing what they long for come to pass. In such times, we can resort to self-sabotage, isolation, and, most prominently, sin against God in retaliation. We feel unseen or unheard by Him. The Great Help seems to be unhelpful because we haven't got what we want. In our SUNDAY SERVICE, Pastor Mike helps b...

We're back with more of our series, the "SEVEN SEALS", looking at uncovering what can be seen as the mystery behind some of this apocalyptic literature in the Book of Revelation. In Episode 3, Pastor Mike breaks down the meaning behind the "Black Horse" and its rider. Given that we are in the last of the last days, we must have an understanding of the things to come so we...

It's a new year, and goals are a THING. They're such a thing that people go into a new year planning which goals they're aiming at. The issue is sometimes we don't achieve our goals; we give up, or sometimes we achieve the goal, but it doesn't bring the satisfaction we thought it would. All of this affects us when it comes to setting goals the next time around. We're...

They say, "The enemy is the inner me," which is a problem! We work against ourselves, but what does that even mean? What does it look like? Sometimes we have things working within us that we don't even realise are working against everything we desire. In our CONNECT Service, Pastor Mike helps us address this as we go to the hard-hitting book of James to get a real dose of truth. But...

We can all agree that sometimes the struggle is real! Trying to serve God, trying to do the right thing and even then, not seeing all we want to see. We find ourselves doing things we don't want to do but the things we do we can't seem to do. What the Apostle Paul said in Romans 7 rings true. This inner conflict can be tiring, and we don't know what else to do. We have tried everyth...

We're in Episode 2 of our Series The Seven Seal, looking at some End Times prophecy from the book Revelation to understand a bit more about what the end will look like and how that impacts us today. In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE service Pastor Mike gives us insight into a possible interpretation of the Red Horse and its Rider. We hope this message blesses you. We'd love to hear how the message...

When we consider discipleship, whether the call to it or the facilitation of it, we rarely consider the idea of it happening at the dinner table. I'm sure many don't view the dinner table as an integral part to discipleship; where men and women can come from the place of sinner to saint and disciple of Jesus Christ. We likely don't view our dinner table / home-space as a key part of...

Being forgiven a debt, or being forgiven and reconciled after an offence committed, ought to create a feeling of gratitude and appreciation toward the one who has pardoned the debt or offence. With specific regard to debt, this feeling of appreciation should be especially evident when the one forgiving bore the cost themselves. However, the trouble with many who claim to follow Jesus is sometimes...

Apocalyptic literature has been a fascination for many for generations. It captures interest and generates intrigue like little else. What is going to happen at the end of all things? - From Armageddon to the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse; there are so many interpretations, but these things originate in biblical scripture. As a part of our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE series on the 7 Seals, Pastor Mike takes...
