The TREASURY

Holiness is God’s will for His people. Just as mirrors reflect light, we’re called to reflect God’s nature. In our CONNECT Service, Pastor Mike reminds us that holiness is relational, not just moral rule-keeping. God called His people to be set apart —not like the culture, but set apart to Him. Jesus, our High Priest, lived a holy, pleasing life and offered Himself as a sacrifice. Now we’re urged...

In Ezekiel 37 , God brings dry bones back to life with His breath—a powerful image of spiritual revival. Many appear alive but are spiritually lifeless, broken by sin, hopelessness, and self-reliance. Pastor Mike encourages us with this truth: God doesn’t just want us to survive—He wants us to live again . His Spirit revives what looks dead and breathes new life into what’s been lost. The same Spi...

Sometimes the greatest danger isn’t a head-on assault but a subtle vacancy. When men are out of place—emotionally, spiritually, morally—everything they’re meant to protect becomes vulnerable. Ziklag burned not just because of an attack, but because of a decision. Like Adam watching the serpent with Eve—we see that passivity has a cost. In our Father's Day SUNDAY SERVICE, Pastor Mike challenge...

Jesus says the Church —the City on a Hill—should do the same. You are the light of the world. Not hidden. Not silent. But seen. In our Baptismal service, and the conclusion of our City Series, Pastor Mike takes us back to Matthew 5:14-16 and reminds us that we, the Church, the City, are supposed to be—a guide for the lost, a signpost to safety. When we shine, people see something real. Different....

Jerusalem wasn’t just placed—it was positioned. A divine intersection. The Crossroads of the Earth. Not just because trade flowed through it—but because glory did.  in our penultimate episode of our City series, Pastor Mike shows us how the Queen of Sheba didn’t travel for spectacle—she came for answers. She heard about a King whose wisdom lit the city, and she left saying, “Not even half was told...

A whole life… reduced to salt. In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE Service, Pastor Mike directs us to examine Lot’s wife. She looked back and lost everything. Genesis says she became a pillar—frozen in regret. She was delivered out of Sodom but never let Sodom out of her. That’s us sometimes. Stuck between freedom and familiarity. But sin doesn’t just wound—it warps. You might know that feeling. Jesus taught...

Hebrews 12:14 says that without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Holiness isn’t being extra spiritual—it’s thinking like God, wanting what He wants. In our new CONNECT Service preaching series, Pastor Mike is making holiness practical. He shows us that the text is speaking about pursuit. Jacob pursued the birthright—Esau didn’t. One got God. One lost out. When we chase sin, convenience, comfort...

Mark’s Gospel hits like a tabloid—miracle after miracle, scandalous grace. In our text, a desperate father cries, “I believe—help my unbelief!” That’s real faith. He’d tried the disciples… but some things only Jesus can fix. Some issues are entrenched—years deep, soul-wearying. That boy had one answer— Christ .  But when faith meets compassion, miracles happen. Jesus rebukes the spirit and sets li...

People go to wild lengths to outlast death—cryogenic chambers, oxygen eggs, $1.5M body budgets. But Hebrews 9:27 says it plain: it is appointed once to die, then judgment. No tech, no tonic, no talent can cancel that date. Life is vapour! You can’t cheat death. But here’s the good news: JESUS BEAT DEATH!  In our CONNECT Service message, Pastor Mike expounds on the text, showing how the old system...

Your time of public revealing is coming faster than you have time to prepare for. David didn’t have a title, polish, or pedigree—just obedience in obscurity. Overlooked, underdressed, and fresh off the fields, yet God said: “Arise, anoint him!” What looked like lack was actually training. Lions and bears weren’t just wild—they were warm-ups. He didn’t look like a king, but he had a king’s heart. T...

Faith is God’s postcode. If you want to meet Him, you’ll find Him on Faith Street. Hebrews 11:6 says that to come to God, you must believe —that He exists and that He rewards those who go all in. In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE session, Pastor Mike reminds us that faith isn’t hype, sentiment, or good vibes. Faith is substance. It’s the sturdy foundation under our hope. It’s evidence before evidence. God...

Las Vegas is called Sin City for good reason—built on indulgence, excess, and escape. But it’s not just a modern problem. In Genesis 11, humanity built Babel, trying to reach heaven without God. The issue wasn’t just a tower—it was the insecurity and rebellion driving it: “Let us make a name for ourselves.” Like bricks baked from dust, they built from brokenness, not trust. We still do this—constr...

It's Baptism Sunday at hackneyph.church. And Pastor Mike takes us to Acts 8, where we meet an Ethiopian official returning from Jerusalem, spiritually curious and unknowingly being drawn by God. As the gospel is explained, the eunuch believes and is baptised—declaring a new citizenship in Heaven . Just like N.W.A’s “Straight Outta Compton” shaped identity, this eunuch leaves the water Straigh...

In 1951, Irving Gordon penned Unforgettable —a simple love song made legendary by Nat King Cole. Not flashy, not complex. Just pure, timeless, and sincere. Pastor Mike informs us that that’s Peter’s point in 1 Peter 3: true beauty isn’t what fades—it’s what lasts . In a world chasing status, style, and surface. As a part of our Single Seminar with the Enfield Church, Pastor Mike reminds us that wh...

Many know the Lord’s Prayer, which cries out for God’s Kingdom to come on earth. But how does that actually happen? In Matthew 16:13–19 , Jesus tells Peter, “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.” These keys symbolize authority —a delegated, judicial power from God to His people. Just as keys give access, the authority Jesus gives allows believers to bind what’s illegitimate and loose...

Cities are to be prominent and an attractive place, full of promise; a place of dreams.  In our new SUNDAY SERVICE preaching series, our first episode focuses on the church as the "city on a hill" that Jesus describes in Matthew 5:11.  Pastor Mike takes us through scripture to help us understand the importance of this idea, because it's meant to be a blessing to the whole world. We...

Sometimes we wonder why we feel like we're being blocked in life, or why prayers aren't being answered. It doesn't have to be for things that are sin! It's not always about that. Sometimes, even with things that seem good, just, or right there's a blockage. Why? In our SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE service, Pastor Mike causes us to examine the idea of Divine Diversions, and explore th...

When tragedy or dark seasons occur, or even when life just happens upon us, we can become very nearsighted, focusing on the issue or problem, whatever is immediately before us. It becomes very hard to see beyond that! We struggle to see what else could be happening, which can make us miss the good or the hope that is before us. In our Easter SUNDAY SERVICE, Pastor Mike brings the reality of Resurr...

According to tradition, it was around this time (a Wednesday night) where a deal was done, that changed humanity forever, whilst effectively sealing one man's fate. One deal, where a price was set. We all have a price; and the devil is willing to pay it.  What Pastor Mike covers our CONNECT Service message, however, we don't determine what we pay, and within the price there are hidden ch...

"And there was silence in heaven for about half an hour..." An interesting scripture. When silence speaks at significant volume... Could God's silence be a precursor to some kind of action? Many people struggle with God's silence. It's like when we don't hear Him, or we don't see Him move, we're convinced nothing is happening and that nothing will! In the se...
