ONE THING Owning your sin is both a responsibility and an opportunity

ONE THING This week…Remember who is really in control - Identify what gives you a false sense of security - Trust God’s purposes more than your plans. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. – Proverbs 19:21

ONE THING Convenience asks, What’s easiest? Conviction asks, What’s faithful? Every day we choose which question we will answer.

Thank you for joining us today as we look into Jeremiah 9.

ONE THING Our self-reliance says, “Carry more and depend less.” Jesus says, “Depend more and carry less.”

ONE THING ‘You cannot stay where you are and go with God.” – Henry Blackaby Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” – Jesus (Luke 9:23)

ONE THING Don’t let tomorrow’s worries keep you from today’s obedience. God is responsible for the provision; you’re responsible for the next step!

ONE THING Choose today which altar you will bow to! “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God follow him (God-reliance)! But if Baal is God, then follow him (self-reliance)! But the people were completely silent.”(1 Kings 18:21 NLT)

ONE THING Take time this week to thank a friend(s) God is using in your life to help you grow as a follower of Christ: Thank a friend who speaks truth into your life; Thank a friend who encourages you; Thank a friend who remains loyal; Thank a friend who sharpens you And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the ha...

ONE THING Check your motive – Surrender your plan – Follow His lead Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” – Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)

Thank you for joining us this morning!

ONE THING The grace of God is greater than the failures that could define us when we truly repent and return to Him.

ONE THING Use this pattern of lament from the Psalms to guide you as you trust God and pray through the difficulties in life.

ONE THING When we forget who God is, our view of Him shrinks. Intentional praise brings it back into focus.

ONE THING While you wait on God, don’t settle for less than God. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. – Psalm 27:14

ONE THING Fear is a Liar! You can’t stay where you are and go with God. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. – James 2:17-18

ONE THING The WHY of the storm is always less important than the WHAT from the storm.  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1:2-4 (NIV)

Thank you for joining us today as we continue in our Bible Recap sermon series.

ONE THING: No matter what… God’s GRACE is always >

ONE THING: You can’t add days to your life, BUT you can add (resurrected) life to your days! Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ...

ONE THING: Compassion is taking your talk out for a walk! Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. – 1 John 3:18 (NLT)

ONE THING Memorize John 3:16 and ask God for an opportunity to share your hope in Jesus with someone this week. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16 (NIV)

Thank you for joining us today!

ONE THING “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
