Redeemer Marquette Sermons

We go through many struggles and storms in life, but when they inevitably come, we don’t need to doubt the presence of God. He is always with us, even and especially at the worst times.

Join us for this special service for the season of Advent as we rejoice that Jesus brightens our lives through his birth, dispelling the darkness of sin to bring forgiveness to light.

Even when we feel all alone, God is with us, and He gives us hope. In this week’s message, we’ll talk about how we can find peace in Him even when we feel like we’re stranded in the wilderness.

God is with us, even when we’re at our lowest point. This week, see how He’s beside us in the valley as we start our new message series.

Jesus has given us every second we have on this earth, but so often we just make ourselves busy seeing our busyness as a symbol of our productivity or worth. Jesus desires that we manage our time well so there is always time for His Kingdom and for others.

Jesus has given us incredible forgiveness at an incredible price – the price of His very life. He asks that we manage that forgiveness by extending it to others.

Jesus is the One who has given us our wealth! Yet, too often, we hoard our wealth instead of being generous. Jesus explores in this parable how generosity is the key to good money management.

Jesus has given us our community – the city of Marquette or wherever we live – to bless! Will we let our light shine to transform our community with the love of Christ?

Faith is the gift that allows us to follow Jesus! But how do we manage our faith? Do we simply regard it as an internal state of our heart, or something that flows from our heart in our actions that blesses those around us? One of the ways that we can grow our faith and manage it well, and bless those around us, is in how we steward our financial resources.

Our ultimate ambition in life is to serve and glorify God. We do not serve to make our name great, but to make His name great.

You do not have the ability, like Jesus, to save people from their sins. However, you are uniquely wired and gifted.

It's one thing to think and strategize about serving. But, to truly serve like Jesus, is a call to action that often requires losing so that others win.

Jesus made Himself available to us by leaving His throne in heaven to come down into this world.

Jesus served us because He so loves us. Just as His attitude shaped how He served us, so too, does our attitude shape how we serve others.

Together, we’re embarking on this challenge to flip our “serve us” mentality to a “service” mentality as we learn from none other than our master servant, Jesus Christ Himself!

Our special guest preacher for Mission Weekend will be none other than Zach Zehnder, the author of Red Letter Challenge. He will share with us how to follow Jesus and how that impacts our mission to share about Jesus. This special weekend will also serve as a launchpad as we embark on the Serving Challenge.

We’re going to see the Apostle Paul finally fulfill his dream of getting the gospel to Rome, thousands of miles from where the Spirit first descended upon the church. And that’s going to bring us to the end of the book of Acts, if you can call it an ending, because it doesn’t really end.

Stand with Paul as he boldly proclaims the Gospel before rulers! As we examine more of Paul's words to the Romans, we’ll see clearly that all believers are set apart for the Gospel. We must embrace our identity as God's chosen ambassadors and discover His thrilling purpose for our lives.

A good story can change a mind, heart or even the world. So, what is the story God is telling throughout the Bible? We see the power of a good story including the story woven throughout the Bible in the story of Saul’s transformation into Paul and how he proclaims it to the Romans.

This weekend, we will explore Jesus' profound teaching: "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). This timeless wisdom challenges our natural inclination towards self-interest, inviting us to embrace a life of generosity that can transform individuals and communities.

The Christian faith is more than a religion with a bunch of rules and requirements, it is an opportunity to experience God's love care in our daily lives. We'll discover how moving beyond empty rituals to a genuine relationship with God can revolutionize our understanding of generosity and trust.

This revolutionary truth has changed the world and continues to transform lives today! Dive into the dramatic showdown at the Jerusalem Council and the early Church's struggle with legalism.
