The trumpet judgments sound terrifying, yet they carry a surprising message of grace. Unlike the final bowl judgments, these are partial (affecting "a third"), giving humanity space for repentance. God's judgment never comes without warning or opportunity for return. We'll confront the uncomfortable truth that God's love includes judgment while finding encouragement in His persistent grace.

We’ve considered the first six seals, but before the seventh seal breaks, John sees two remarkable visions of God's people: the 144,000 sealed from harm and the countless multitude in white robes. These images remind us that though followers of Jesus aren't spared from suffering, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and destined for victory.

Horsemen, seals, what does it all mean? The seven seals are the first of God’s judgement being poured out. Once we see the Lamb, Jesus, in his glory, we have to recognize that his glory stands at odds with evil, so something must be done. Chapter 6 helps us to understand this conflict before we understand our place in the multitude in Chapter 7.

God has given us good news for every day of our life. That though we have gone astray, he welcomes us back into his kingdom by Jesus’ death and resurrection. This great news was not just meant for us but for all people. Through our conversations with the world, we do not bring condemnation but salvation.

As we have good conversations with God and with ourselves, they set the stage for our conversations with one another. God has brought us together to be with him and one another so that all the “one-anothers” in this world would know about Jesus.

God also teaches us what it means to thrive and become everything he has created and saved us to be. He does this so we will be lights and we will know without a shadow of a doubt exactly who we are and who God says we are.

Good conversations are so needed right now, and God wants to have good conversations with you. He listens to our every word, and he teaches us how to listen to him too.

Jesus is God’s “open sesame” to everlasting life and abundance. On the other side of the door is more freedom, not less.

This week, we embrace the truth that our greed for the things of the earth died with Christ on the cross so that we might live to seek the treasures of God in heaven instead.

God sent Jesus to turn off the dark. Light is not only what He is, it’s who He is—the light of the world, and those who follow Him no longer walk in the darkness.
