Community Christian Church - GA

We all need people who can hold up a mirror to our lives to help us see what we can’t see about ourselves. We not only need people who can do this for us, but need to willingly submit ourselves to their authority in our lives.

The Church is a family that is not built on blood, legal relations, or mutual interests. We are built solely on the love of Jesus, which will lead us to treat people who are different from us ethnically, culturally, nationally, and generationally as brothers and sisters.

We all experience wounds from our families of origin, no matter how good and loving our home was growing up. These lies and wounds can not only effect our psychological development but our relationship with God. The family of God, the Church, is one of God’s primary tools to heal these wounds in us.

We were called not only to be Sons and Daughters of God, but brothers and sisters in Christ. Our relationships with one another are not merely symbolic, but actual family relationships where we are to care for one another and love one another with genuine love.

The Church is a community formed around the love and worship of Jesus as King. Unlike other communities and families that are formed by blood or common interests, the Church is a community of love formed around the worship of God. It is our worship for God that tethers us to one another. Without the centrality of worship, our love will fall apart. Our mutual love of Jesus is what allows the peace...

Made in the image of the Trinity, humans are created for community. Through the Church, God forms a family to practice His love together.

Learning to breathe with the Spirit does not guarantee that our prayers will be answered in the way or in the time we want. But that doesn’t mean we should stop praying.

Communication is how we share work with others. Without communication, one person takes too much of the load. But with communication, people can do more together than they could do on their own. The Lord’s Prayer was Jesus’ way of teaching us how to pray in the Spirit. It’s a way for us to begin breathing in rhythm with the Spirit of God, and to allow Him to shape our desires to look more like God’s will for our lives.
