Our nation is suffering from uncertainty, angst, conflict, and distrust. If ever we needed to rely on the Scripture, it’s today. Such times should lead us to cry out to God, asking Him for the wisdom, courage, and obedience to do what’s right.

 What is the most powerful temptation you are facing today? How are you dealing with it? Which areas in your life are easy targets for the evil one? What will you do to defend yourself against his attacks in these vulnerable spots? What can you do beforehand to strengthen your resolve to resist?

What are the areas of temptation wherein you struggle most? In the past, what has been your strategy for dealing with these enticements? How would using God’s Word as a defense prevent you from entertaining the devil’s suggestions and yielding to them?

 Prayer is not a monologue where we do all the talking. Genuine prayer is a two-way conversation with the God who wants to speak with us.

Does your perception of God and Jesus match biblical descriptions, or have you made a ‘god’ of your own imagination and liking? What will you do with the truth about Jesus? What is at stake if you reject it? What is in store for you if you believe it?

 Is there a specific part of life where you lack self-control? Perhaps it’s in finances, moral issues, relationships, habits, gossip, or attitudes. Why is it so difficult for you to surrender any of these to the Lord?

In order to determine if prayer is a priority, ask yourself: How often do I pray? How confident are you that the Lord will answer your requests? What does God’s Word say about His faithfulness in answering prayer? What do you think would happen if, instead of moaning and complaining, you approached God with a thankful heart?

Who is this man called Jesus of Nazareth?

Have you ever felt inner conviction regarding a particular sin? If so, you have heard God’s voice. How else have you sensed Him communicating with you? What do you need to do to increase your sensitivity to God’s voice?

Have you recently felt vulnerable to a temptation? Sometimes the pull is so strong that we begin to come up with reasons why giving in isn’t so bad. We need to stop and consider that the voice we’re listening is that of the evil one, and what he’s offering is a path to destruction.

There is not a formula handbook on marriage relationships. However, there are basic guidelines within the Word of God, and if we’ll obey, then the Holy Spirit helps you know how to live in them.

There is a priority in God’s order. God made man first, but He didn’t make him better. In fact, although God made man physically stronger, women are constitutionally stronger than men. Many problems could be avoided by prioritizing God’s creative order.

What influences you more–the Word of God or the culture? Do you accept things today as normal, or can you see how corrupt society has become? How and where can you find the strength to not only survive, but thrive spiritu ally in an ever increasing anti-Christian climate?

The title of today’s podcast is taken from a massive song hit on the rock’n’roll charts back in the 1970’s. Strange how this sentiment hasn’t changed. People are still desperately searching for inner peace today. What does the Bible have to say on the subject? Just listen.

Have you suffered a deep hurt that is still affecting you today? How have you dealt with it thus far? How has rehearsing the wrong in your mind affected your pain and/or your health? What is stopping you from forgiving?

God speaks ever so clearly in Scripture regarding His will for our lives. He has given us the Holy Spirit to help us discern what He desires and to enable us to obey Him. However, we must each decide whether we are going to obediently follow Him or go our own way.

Have you ever jumped ahead of God? If so, what caused you to become impatient? What happened as a result?

When you are making plans, do you ask the Lord for guidance? What hard lessons have you learned from leaving God out of your plans? What blessings have you enjoyed as a result of seeking His guidance and following Him in obedience?

Have you ever lost your courage to obey God? What happened as a result? Did you receive a second chan ce, or was the opportunity forever gone?

There’s nothing wrong or evil about having or using money. Where we sometimes go astray is in how we use it or why it’s so important to us. Since handling money is a necessary and important part of life, we need to develop our personal convictions about it, based on God’s Word.

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
