Yellow Is A Color Too
As a Chinese immigrant kid, now adult mom of 4 kids, I think about what parts of my Chinese culture I want to pass onto my kids. I want them to proud to be Chinese, to love its food and know its culture, to proudly display advanced chopstick skills while out and about, and to happily scoff at any peers who make fun of their bento boxes. But is that because of my own upbringing in the 90s in the 626 San Gabriel Valley? Here I'll explore those thoughts and more as I think about how yellow is a color too.
