In which X7 takes a river trip Downstream in the fourth episode of The Land of the Lost. This is not the most exciting episode, but it has a lot of mysteries in it, like an artilleryman from the Civil War living in caverns under the world. They don't even bother telling us how he got there, but X7 does have an interesting theory, considering who played the crazed old man!

In which X7 talks a bit about the first two cartoon versions of Superman, the Man of Steel! The 40s "series" the best animated superhero cartoon ever. However, The New Adventures of Superman from 1966 was X7's animated introduction to the legendary hero. So there is a bit of sentiment for that series. Others have been better, but they were not the first! Up, up and away!

X7 enjoyed this issue, because for the first time, no one dies! Happy endings all around! He was astounded that Marvel revisited this concept some forty years later, to mixed results. But we are worthy of this story!

In which X7 talks about the 1997 book about Speed Racer ! He got the book way back then, and it is now close to Speed's 60th anniversary. In Speed's case, time races, and does not fly, unless it uses the Mach 5's auto-jacks. The book is great, and is nicely illustrated. We are hoping that Elizabeth Moran, the author, will do a second edition, but if not, expect to see an ALL Speed Race...

In which X7 reviews episode 10 of the Herculoids. Both of these vile villains threaten the very existence of the planet Amzot itself. Volton had the makings of a great arch-foe for the Herculoids, but alas, we only see him once. Zandor is generally right when he says "Insert Name" will never be back again. Don't mess with the Herculoids!

In which X7 talks about the second feature film to feature the Dark Knight, Batman (1989). This movie had huge hype coming out for it, and many fans had huge expectations for it. That is, once they got over some of the cast and crew (like the main actor and the director). It is quite an accomplishment, but how does it hold up today? X7 has some interesting and possibly controversial views!

In which X7 takes us to the final chamber of Shaolin, the 36th Chamber ! This movie is from 1978 and is a classic kung fu film. It tells us a rather fanciful version of San Te , a monk from Shaolin. He was a real person, though not much is actually known about him. We are happy he inspired such a great movie!
