270. LOTL S01 E 15 Elsewhen 19.09.2024 19:45
In which we see Holly meet a strange visitor from another time... who calls herself Rani, or maybe Ronnie. This is a great episode, and has many implications for the Marshall Family's future. We are getting close to the end of the first season. Enjoy "Elsewhen!"
269. Green Lantern of the 60s! 18.09.2024 16:07
In which X7 talks about one of his favorite superheroes, Hal Jordan , the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. We also hear about the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott , from the oddly numbered Earth 2. He also looks at several of the appearances in other media. No matter what anyone says, the Green Lantern movie was not 114 minutes of wrong.
268. The Shy Stegosaurus of Indian Springs (1962) 17.09.2024 14:16
In which X7 reviews the sequel to Evelyn Sibley Lampman 's The Shy Stegosaurus of Cricket Creek (1955)- called, surprisingly, The Shy Stegosaurus of Indian Springs. We find George, the titilar Stegosaurus stenops of both books, making friends with Huck, a rather lonely boy on a reservation. It is a good thing the twins from the first book show up! Adventures abound!
267. Space Sentinels 03 The Time Traveler 16.09.2024 21:16
In which X7 reviews the third episode of the Space Sentinels. and gets on a bit of a tear about time travel and the inherent paradoxes. Be that as it may, Kronus is played by the late, great Ted Cassidy , and that helps this episode be very memorable. That and the prehistoric animals, of course!
266. AHC The Stan Lee Exhibit 15.09.2024 18:11
In which X7 reviews his visit to the American Heritage Center's exhibit about Stan "The Man" Lee. This was a lot of fun and had many pictures, writings, comic books, and more. It was a true celebration of Stan's life and career. Excelsior!
265. Museum of Dinosaurs or Geology Rocks! 14.09.2024 17:39
In which X7 takes us on a tour of the Museum of Geology at the University of Wyoming , Laramie, Wyoming. It was a packed little place, full of fossils, art, turtles and more! There were even Ichythosaurs upstairs, but the second floor was under renovation. Maybe next time!
264. 7 Song Friday 9-13-24 13.09.2024 19:35
In which X7 celebrates both returning from Wyoming and Friday the 13th all at the same time! We will have two episodes about the visit up there, don't you worry. There is quite the eclectic set today, so buckle up! Let's rock and roll! Lyrics for Rock Rock Godzilla here , should anyone be so inclined.
263. LOTL 14 Stone Soup 12.09.2024 14:25
In which X7 has a heaping helping of "Stone Soup," the 14th episode of Land of the Lost . It is a fair episode, but a needed change of pace after the deadly dinosaur debate from the last show. We are still on location in Wyoming, but will return to Fossil Bed on the morrow. We have some really cool stuff to talk about! Stay tuned!
262. The Annotated Hobbit 12.09.2024 16:42
In which X7 reviews a version of one of his favorite books- The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien (1937). This version contains wonderful illustrations from all over the world, and all the original prose that Tolkien had to revise to make the book fit with his later The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The book is wonderful, and has been adapted a few times. It is almost the greatest adventure!
261. Attack of the Monsters part 2 10.09.2024 19:43
In which X7 wraps up his review of Attack of the Monsters (1969), the public domain American International Television version. He also discusses his long history with both the titanic terrapin and this movie. It extends back to the previous century, even! so nearly four decades, which doesn't even include when he watched the movies as a young agent! Go Go Gamera!
260. Space Sentinels 02- Space Giants 09.09.2024 17:12
In which X7 reviews the second episode of The Space Sentinels, which is titled "Space Giants." It is not these Space Giants , but it is pretty good. The trio has to stop an alien invasion, which turns into a robot uprising before everything is through. It could have been a fun two-parter. This is a good episode, and kind of has a surprising ending. No spoilers, sweetie!
259. Attack of the Monsters part 1 09.09.2024 27:02
In which a first happens here- we need two episodes to for a movie! Attack of the Monsters (1969) is the fifth Gamera movie, and it is one X7 has a deep involvement with. We get through about fiddy minutes of the movie, and then we will have part two in a day or so. Ganbare Gamera!
258. Coloring the White Whale! 07.09.2024 16:16
In which X7 looks at two versions of the same coloring book- one he has had for longer than he cares to admit, and one that he got from eBay several years ago. Both were released in 1968! The star of the book is the great white super-whale, Moby Dick . Yes, Hanna-Barbera turned Melville's titanic tome into a cartoon. Sure, it is silly, but it is also a lot of fun. Let's go coloring!
7 Song Friday 9-6-24 Dancing with a Little Boogie 06.09.2024 23:23

Go here for the Hellflowers !
256. LOTL 13 Follow That Dinosaur 05.09.2024 24:39

This happens in the rather macabre thirteen episode of the series, Follow that Dinosaur! Mysteries are solved, new concepts are introduced and hearts are broken!
255. Movie Monsters #3 (April 1975) 04.09.2024 15:49
In which X7 reviews the first monster magazine he ever purchased as a young agent, Movie Monsters #3. Monster magazines were not very common back then, and this one featured Godzilla AND Batman! He never had a chance! The magazine was part of the Atlas/Seaboard line of comic books and magazines, and it actually lasted longer than several of the comic books. It was a fun monster-zine and could ha...
254. The DInosaur Scrapbook (1980) 03.09.2024 21:30
In which X7 reviews a great document from 1980, Donald F. Glut's The Dinosaur Scrapbook . So much about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals has changed since then that this makes it an historic document. It starts with the Crystal Palace dinosaurs and ends around 1978 or so. It is lavishly illustrated art from comic books, pictures from dinosaur parks and digs, television shows, and a wi...

War of the Amazing Colossal Beast! 01.09.2024 14:14
In which X7 looks at a rather interesting sequel to a very good movie ( The Amazing Colossal Man (1957) , War of the Colossal Beast ! This isn't quite as good as the original, but overall it is a fair bit of fun. Svengoolie had a lot of great information about this movie as well. Sure, the effects are right up to Bert I. Gordon 's usual standards, but the story moves along well. He...
What If Rick Jones Had Become the Hulk? 31.08.2024 16:01
In which X7 reviews the first time Rick Jones becomes the Hulk. Not A Hulk, but the Hulk. This happens on Earth-7812 , so who knows what happened after the end of this issue now. However, this is the first issue of What If? that had a completely happy ending, so it is fitting we end our first set of reviews here! Hulk, read!

LOTL S01 E12 The Possession 29.08.2024 16:03
In which X7 talks about the eeriest episode in the season, "The Possession." Cha-Ka and Holly get possessed by an ancient intelligence in a strange pylon. It wants to rule all! Plesiosaur Toys Rule My World! 27.08.2024 17:22
In which X7 shows off his favorite examples of Sauropterygia , AKA Plesiosaurs. We get to see Plesiosaurus , Elasmosaurus , a very magical Lioplerodon , and even Nessie . Well, not really, but that last one came from Scotland! X7 wants to believe, but will have to see her first. Be that as it may, there are not many toys like this out there. We would love to see more!
The Special Herculoids Finale! 26.08.2024 14:21
In which X7 talks about two non-episodes of the Herculoids, though they appear heavily in these segments. The Molten Monsters of Moltar was the Space Ghost episode they appeared in, rescuing Space Ghost from Moltar's robots. This premiered on September 16th, 1967. The next segment is a quick overview of the mini-documentary The Herculoids: The First Family of "Quasar" when we all k...
