295. Space Sentinels 07: The Prime Sentinel 14.10.2024

In which X7 finds out that there are at least SEVEN other Sentinel teams out in the galaxy. They all fight evil in the brightest days and the darkest night, one would think! This time, the Prime Sentinel is in dire need of help, a stranger energy force is consuming it's energy. Sentinel 7 contacts Sentinel 1 and away our heroes go! Sentinels, Soar!

294. Fiend Without a Face (1958) 13.10.2024

In which X7 reviews one of the most memorable and unusual monster movies of the 50s, the fantastic Fiend Without A Face ! The movie is pretty standard until the last fifteen minutes of the movie, and then... well, if you are a fan of a certain vintage, you have seen this movie a few times already! These brains would make mincemeat out of any zombies that might try to eat them!

293. The Monster that Challenged the World (1957) 12.10.2024

In which X7 takes a look at a rather underrated monster movie from 1957- The Monster that Challenged the World ! A small army of molluscs declare war on the Salton Sea , eating several of the human inhabitants. Our heroes have to figure out what they are and stop them, or they may indeed challenge the entire world! A nice write up here !

292. 7 Song Friday 10-11-24 11.10.2024

In which X7 is joined once again by Special Agent Frog, who got to pick two songs today. We are not sure about that first one, but we will let the people decide! It is a pretty eclectic mix, and there is sure to be something for everyone! Let's rock and roll!

291. Ultraman 01: Ultra Operation No. 1 10.10.2024

In which X7 starts the new live-action weekly review- this time starring Ultraman! Yes, it is the original 1966 television series that started it all! We will be doing two episodes per review for the next 20 weeks or so. It will be filled with monsters, heroes, ray-guns and cool looking spaceships! This is the first episode, and we do get introduced to the main cast. It really is ultra-good! Here'...

290. Red Robot of the Stars! 10.10.2024

In which X7 reviews the Taiwanese movie Iron Superman , which used footage from the 1974 Japanese show Super Robot Mach Baron . Anyone saying Power Rangers invented this sort of movie-making needs to review the history of such things. It is rather difficult to find out much information about either the movie or the series, but it is a good way to get an English subtitled look at it. Robot Punch!

289. Jack the Giant Killer (1962) 08.10.2024

In which X7 looks at one of his favorite fantasy-adventure movies, Jack the Giant Killer (1962). He saw it as a young agent in the 70s, which was just the best time to see this movie. The movie was making the rounds of summer matinees, and it was kind of wonderfully terrifying, and the monsters were great. Especially the Kraken! We here feel he should have gotten a movie to himself. Be that as it...

288. Space Sentinels meet the Wizard of Od (06) 07.10.2024

In which X7 visits the marvelous world of Od, in another dimension. It is very close to a certain other wonderful place, complete with a (presumably) very bad wizard. Fortunately, the Young Space Sentinels have a elf named Teezer with them, and they head out to stop an out of control wish machine! Remind us again, what is paved with good intentions?

287. Starman vs. Space Invaders! 06.10.2024

In which X7 reviews the second Starman movie, Invaders from Space . Not those cute little video game Space Invaders, but the dreaded Salamander Men from Culomon! They want to take over the world, and use a deadly bacteria and sonic waves to do so. The Council of the Emerald Planet send the creature made of the strongest steel, Starman, to Earth to stop them. Can this man of steel do it?

286. A Prehistoric Journey in Denver 05.10.2024

In which X7 takes us on a journey into Denver's past, from the Devonian to the K-T Boundary. There are mammals at the museum, but those are not dinosaurs now, are they? 7 has been to this museum many times growing up, and a lot of these fossils are like old friends. Many are new friends as well! It is nearly a journey to the beginning of time!

285. 7 Song Friday 10-04-24 04.10.2024

In which X7 plays and talks about seven awesome songs. These range from 1962 to 1984. Guess which decade gets featured most? Be that as it may, they are all wonderful songs, though a couple of them talk about some definite violence. These two are cover songs, even! Let's get ready to rock and roll tonight!

284. LotL 17. Circle 03.10.2024

In which X7 talks about time paradoxes and dinosaurs, all things that are in this last episode of Land of the Lost season one. It is about as perfect a science fiction that has been on television, no matter who it was aimed for. Not quite perfect, as we discuss in this podcast, but that doesn't hamper the overall greatness of this accomplishment. Genactic!

283. T. Rex 3D review (and more!) 02.10.2024

In which X7 travels an hour south to the Denver Museum of Nature and History to see the new T. Rex 3D movie. It is also being called "teen Rex" which is pretty catchy. We review the movie and also the the actual fossils that came from the Hell Creek Formation in Montana. The movie was a lot of fun, and so was the preparation room. We will also be reviewing the actual fossils that live there, proba...

282. Gamera vs. Monster X, part 2 01.10.2024

In which X7 wraps up his review of the sixth Gamera movie, Gamera vs. Monster X. We tried a slightly new experiment here, let us know what you think of it! Gamera and his pre-teen allies take on Jiger and her maleficent larva, though one almost feels sorry for the little one. The deaths of these two beasts are quite horrific, really! Gamera does triumph, and saves humanity!

281. Space Sentinels 05: The Return of Anubis 30.09.2024

In which X7 talks about the deity of Anubis along with the fifth episode of The Space Sentinels . This is an occurrence of things not being exactly as they appear. It is an action-packed (for the late 70s Saturday morning) episode. Enjoy!

280. Gamera vs. Monster X part 1 29.09.2024

In which X7 talks about the sixth Gamera movie, Gamera vs. Monster X ! This 1970 movie has no stock footage from previous movies in it and is really well done. Gamera meets the first female monster in the series and may have met his match! You will have to watch part two to find out what happens!

279. The SUPER Inframan! 28.09.2024

In which X7 re-reviews the most amazing superhero movie ever, Inframan ! It's not really a movie review, since he did that way back in episode #26, but an appreciation of the movie, in video! It is one of 7's favorite movies, so he wanted to do a newer one, now that he has some more technical know-how. There is a look at the home video releases, and a few of the magazines that feature the movie! G...

278. 7 Song Friday 9-27-24 27.09.2024

In which X7 talks about seven pretty awesome songs! They are awesome for a wide variety of reasons, that is. We bet no one here would believe one song would feature a two time Academy Award™ winner providing some vocals. This was back in 1984. This is actor is great. That oughtta be some teaser! Let's get ready to rock and roll!

277. LOTL 16- Hurricane 27.09.2024

In which X7 looks at the penultimate episode of Land of the Lost ! It is basically part one, with many clues about the finale coming up. Of course, none of us knew that at the time, so it comes across as another great episode of this first season. In hindsight, we can see the clues now. Grab your energy crystals and get ready, a hurricane is coming through!

276. JLA/Avengers of the 80s! 25.09.2024

In which X7 discusses the beginnings of what would be his favorite comic book series of all time- the Avengers and the Justice League! This original book would have appeared in the early 1980s, but alas, politics between the companies got involved and derailed it for almost twenty years. Let's get ready to assemble and lambaste!

275. Yusei Shonen Papi 01 A Mysterious Pendant 24.09.2024

In which X7 talks about the differences between the first episode of Planet Boy Papi and Prince Planet . There are not that many differences, overall, but there are one or two rather substantial changes in the middle. Zapow!

274. The Space Sentinels 04- The Sorceress 23.09.2024

In which X7 talks about the fourth episode of the rather fun Space Sentinels series. This features a supercomputer from another dimension (with evil intention) trying to take over the world. The sorceress may or may not be an energy construct. She promised to return, but alas, thirteen episodes didn't give her enough time!

273. Prince Planet 01 A Boy from Radion 22.09.2024

In which X7 talks about the first episode of the great series Prince Planet . This is the US dub, and we will talk about the Japanese version in the coming days. The differences, that is, dontcha know! Here we see the Prince head to Earth, and some of the trials and tribulations he faces. Good thing he lands at the Worthy Ranch! Grab your Metalizer and use that Pendant! Wow, he was way off on the...

Reviewing Xenorama(s)! 21.09.2024

In which X7 reviews six recent issues of Xenorama, The Journal of Heroes and Monsters . Is this a bit self-serving? Well, maybe. However, it was kind of an unboxing and these are some great issues. They are all available on Amazon, just search Xenorama, you won't be sorry! There probably should be a real website, but we have too much going on for that!

271. 7 Song Friday 9-20, Which IS Witch? 20.09.2024

In which X7 plays and talks about seven vastly different songs, ranging from 1973 to 1993. He also tries a new tactic, with various pictures of the bands to view whilst listening to the great music. OK, it is only seven pictures, but it is a start. Let us know what you think about the pictures in the comments! Now, it's time to rock and roll!
