In which X7 talks about a bloody martial arts movie, One-Armed Boxer! Jimmy Wang Yu wrote, directed and starred in this masterpiece of movement. It is fairly straightforward, the good school is wiped out by the bad school and their international accomplices, and one student learns a new technique to take revenge. But it works!

In which X7 celebrates International Clash Day today! It is a day to listen to the Clash and think about their message and rock out to their music. We did only include one song today, but it is a great one. The rest of the songs are pretty darn good as well, to quote Rusty, the boy robot. Let's get ready to rock and roll... with guitar!

In which X7 reviews a seminal book from his wee agenthood, 1977's From the Land Beyond Beyond (Jeff Rovin, author)! There were two copies there that day at the much missed City News here in Fossil Bed, and I got one. A certain "genius" got the other one, and that is how we met a few days later. Math class improved a lot after that!

In which X7 reviews the final two episodes of Captain America from 1966! These are two action-packed shows, which end on a bit of a cliffhanger. How does Cap get back to civilization? The world may never know! Next week: A classic Japanese cartoon!

In which X7 speaks on the rather sad Harryhausen movie, 2 0 Million Miles to Earth! One can easily see the influence of King Kong (1933), though it is not nearly as good as that one (we know, duh). The effects are amazing, the acting is adequate, and we can make fun of little goof Pepe for a bit of the film.

In which X7 makes a wonderful martial arts movie the first romantic movie of Feb 2025! Yes, it is Heroes of the East , which does have some romance in it, but we think X7 stretched the point quite a bit. Be that as it may, it is a very gentle martial arts movie, considering the subject matter! We highly recommend it!

In which X7 listens to seven seven seven songs, and probably talks a little TOO much about a certain movie at the end, but the songs do rock! We will forgive him for that, since that Qu'vatlh driver's license got him. Be that as it may, let's get ready to rock and roll!

In which X7 looks at a well regarded peplum movie, Goliath and the Vampires (1961). There is only one vampire in this movie, and he really isn't a true vampire. We are not sure exactly what he is, he seems closer to Lord Voldemort, though predating that mad magician by over 30 years. Let's here what you think in the comments!

He is known as both the Man of Bronze and the Man of Tomorrow, and had a Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic region. Hence the reason for the theme song today! He has five of the best minds in the world as his gang, called the Fabulous Five, and they live up to their name. Go, Doc, go!

In which X7 has the penultimate episode about the Captain America '66 cartoon series! This features episodes 10 and 11, which are pretty straightforward adaptations of the respective comics books Gantray-Lawrence swiped them from! Sling that shield, Cap!

In which X7 talks about a wonderful adaptation of a great book, 1982's The Last Unicorn ! The movie is gorgeous, the acting is wonderful and the music is... by America. Well, as the late Meatloaf used to sing, two out of three ain't bad!
