In which X7 reviews a wonderfully illustrated dinosaur book from 1972, Album of Dinosaurs ! The art is gorgeous, and it is pretty current for the time frame. A lot has changed, but that doesn't stop it from having a lot of appeal. Let's read!

In which X7 talks about the 1987 pilot movie for The Spirit , which he likes far more than most fans. It is fun, well-directed, well-cast and does what it is supposed to do. But many fans at the time wanted "dark and gritty" and this wasn't gonna happen in live-action for a few more years. Watch this movie and like it, that's the Spirit!

In which X7 talks about episodes 13-16 of the delightful Dirty Pair! Once again, there is no mass destruction of anything in this set of episodes, but they are quite fun. In which X7 looks at a pretty bloody but overall pretty great team-up movie, Zatoichi Meets the One Armed Swordsman (1971)! It is the 22nd movie in the long-running Zatoichi series. It is not a particularly happy team up, but it is well worth watching! Let's roll!

In which X7 talks about the pretty decent and entertaining 1983 mega-flop Rock and Rule ! It sure deserved a much larger audience, but alas, the studio wasn't behind it. It has found a larger audience in the forty plus years since then, but it remains more obscure than some other animated sci-fi musical movies. We would call it on the same level as Fire and Ice , actually. Lets rock and roll!

In which we pass the halfway mark of Robot Detective without knowing much more about BAD or Mother! Still, the episodes have more action in them now, and K gets a new pose or two! Something is up, but we don't know what! Let's go!

In which X7 reviews something new and different- a Marvel Western comic book- The Two-Gun Kid #89 ! This was the first team of all three kids- Two-Gun, Colt, and Rawhide! Even though they were all of age, they are still kids. Go figure. Is it the "biggest" western of all time? Watch and find out!

In which X7 talks about a fun space movie from 1968- The Green Slime ! Filmed in English language but in Toei Studios in Japan, the cast takes the silliness seriously and it works. A space station is invaded by deadly alien spores, molds, or fungus of some kind! Lets roll!

In which X7 talks about episodes 9-12 of The Dirty Pair, which includes a very touching episode. A few of these enjoyable episodes are homages to movies and books, which is a lot of fun. Let's roll!

In which X7 takes a look at a fun pulp-style adventure, a bit, but only a bit, undone by the dinosaur and other prehistoric animals in it. It is The Land Unknown ! We still like it, even with the rather poor representation of Tyrannosaurus rex that is in here. It's not even that cute, sadly. But the movie moves along and makes us care about the characters. It's a good way to spend 80 minut...

In which X7 talks lovingly about what is possibly his favorite Shaw Brothers kung fu movie, The Five (Deadly) Venoms . It wasn't his first Shaw or kung fu movie, but it sure made an impression! It did on the rest of the world as well! Poison Clan rocks the world!

In which X7 talks about the 1980 fantasy-musical and mega-flop Xanadu for far longer than anyone would have thought possible. He does warn us that talking about the movie is more fun than watching it. It isn't nearly as bad as its rep might suggest, but it could have been a lot better. Do you dare find out how? Be that as it may, this is a well-made movie, with a gripping story and some great effects that stand up to this day. We even include a restored "US" trailer at the end! Lets roll, Majin!

In which X7 reviews the next four episodes about the Lovely Angels, AKA The Dirty Pair! There is a lot about love in these four episodes. Maybe, maybe too much! Still, they are pretty good, but there is a decided lack of destruction and chaos the Pair are supposed leave in their wake. What's up with that?

In which X7 celebrates 2025's National Dinosaur Day by watching the wonderful and vastly underrated The Valley of Gwangi (1969)! He saw this as a young agent and it obviously left an impression on him. Go figure, right? Let's roll!

In which our self-styled master of martial arts, X7, reviews the amazing and generally jaw-dropping Master of the Flying Guillotine ! This isn't even close to over-hyping this movie. The great Jimmy Wang Yu made this movie as a sequel to his One-Armed Boxer , which we have already reviewed. We love both movies! Lets roll!

In which X7 talks about one of his favorite movies of all time, 1979's most excellent The Muppet Movie ! Yeah, it isn't easy to say much new about the movie, since it is nearly fiddy years old, but he does his best. It has everything, even a giant monster (of sorts) in it! Just go watch it now.

In which X7 discusses a 38 year old book, The Best of Science Fiction TV ! This was written in the olden days, before the Sci-Fi Channel, before streaming, before even VHS tape sets! Infomercials had begun to ruin syndicated television and classic shows were disappearing quickly. We don't agree with many of the choices here, so let's discuss!

In which X7 reviews the 2008 "adult" cartoon movie Turok Son of Stone . It is based on the long-running comic book of the same name. It is quite good, but perhaps a broader audience could have been reached had it been a little less "adult" and a bit more PG. Can't make new fans of a character if you aim it an an older audience, can you? Let's roll!
