In this often skipped over chapter in Nehemiah we will discover several important truths for our everyday lives about our work and our serving the Lord in His ministry. (Nehemiah 3:1-32)

The Christian life is a careful balance between God sovereignly working and us working . Nehemiah 2 shows us how this balance works out as Nehemiah begins the journey on rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. (Nehemiah 2:-10)

Nehemiah ad the compassion of Mother Teresa and the tenacious leadership of General Patton. In this first message we will see that when we are confronted with a need possibly God would want us to step up and do what we can to meet that need. (Nehemiah 1:1-11)

Try to imagine how your life would be different - how you could better weather the storms and hardship and hurt in your life if you had this kind of persevering trust in the Sovereign God like Joseph had. You can. The same God is with you. (Genesis 42:1--50:21)

All the hurts and hardships in Joseph's life God used to develop a man of strong faith that He would one day use in a great way. God will also use similar things in our lives to accomplish his plan for us. There are no shortcuts to maturity. Genesis 40: 1--41: 57

Joseph's situation goes from bad to worse even though he continued to do the right thing. Does trusting God and doing the right thing really work? Genesis 39:1-23

What was for Joseph is true for us. When tragedy strikes and we wonder why God is absent, he isn’t. And when things seem chaotic and out of control, they aren’t. God is always there and He is always in control of the chaos. And we can trust him. (Genesis 37:1-36; 39:1-6a)

The Holy Spirit works in the lives of individual Christians and in the life of the Church. This Sunday we will look at WHAT he does and HOW we can live in the power of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

The Holy Spirit provided the Apostles and early Christians power to transform their world. He gives us that same power. In Part 1 we will look at the Person of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person, not a force and the Holy Spirit is God. (Acts 1:8)

The Lord's prayer gives us an outline for our prayers and our prayer lives. This message unpacks the message of the Lord's prayer in a way that is useful for the christian every day. (Matt 6:9-13)

God uses prayer to transform our lives through His Holy Spirit. Individual and corporate times of prayer are time when we can grow spiritually to be more like Christ. (Acts 4:23-31; Acts 13:1-3; Psalm 2:1,2; Luke 11:1-4)

The Gospel changes everything and is the only hope for the world. The big story of God reconciling the world to himself is not yet finished. Can there be a more urgent mission or more important priority for the church and for your life? (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Matthew 28:18-20)

You and your witness matters to God. Never underestimate the power of one in the chain reaction of God's great plan for the redemption of the world. (Acts 1:1-8; Acts 2:22-24, 32, 33; Acts 3:11-15; Acts 4:1-4; 8-13, 33; Romans 1:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20)

Jesus is the true vine and we are the branches. Our purpose in life is to bear fruit. In this message we explore what fruit means in our lives and what it means to abide in Christ. (John 15:1-8)

Someone said, "The choices we make, make us." We all have a choice to make about Jesus. Will we believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life? Or will we try and make our own way, make up our own truth and define our own life? (John 14:1-6)

One day we all have to let go of this trapeze called life. The question is what happens then? Before that, we get to choose to whom we jump. It's not about certainty. It's about belief. Believing Matters. Believing in Jesus matters most. (John 11:1-45)

Shepherds are common in the middle east. Jesus said he is the good shepherd. So what about Jesus makes him a good shepherd. This message explores what makes Jesus our good shepherd. He protects. He provides. And He proceeds us as He leads. (Jn 10:11-30)

When Jesus says, "I am the Door," He demonstrates he only grants access to God, salvation from judgment, and provision of eternal, abundant life. (John 10:1-10; Ezekiel 34; John 9)

When Jesus says, “I am the Light of the World,” He is tying the first page and the last page of the Bible together. He is reinforces the whole message of the Bible about who Jesus is and what Jesus offers. (John 8:12)

To turn away from Jesus who is the bread of life is like a self-imposed hunger strike. It is a dangerous way to live and a sure way to die. If we will believe in him, Jesus offers to give us eternal life and satisfy our souls forever. (John 6:25-69)

The heart of Jesus was a servant heart. Christians who want to have the heart of Jesus need to serve others. When we serve we are loving God and loving others, the Great Commandment. (John 13:3-17)

Because everyone matters to God, everyone should matter to us. One of the ways we demonstrate this is to connect in community with other Christians. It is our biblical model, our spiritual greenhouse and our ultimate apologetic. Being a follower of Jesus Christ involves sharing the mission of God and the message of the reconciling and redeeming love of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8-11; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; 1 Peter 4:10,11; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Colossians 4:3,4; Ephesians 6:19,20; 1 Peter 3:15)

In this story, Jesus not only redefines who our neighbor is but he also redefines the meaning of love. He then challenges those who say they love God to become Good Samaritans. (Luke 10:25-37)

From the beginning and in the end, Jesus connects the Gospel to the Poor. If we want to follow Jesus and become more like him, then we will care about what Jesus cared about. Jesus cared about the poor. Will you? How will you? (Luke 4:14-21; Matthew 25:31-46)
