There are thousands of claims to truth in the world. Often these are contrary, confusing, and even outright wrong. False beliefs have real consequences. Teaching the truth isn't just about the truth, it's about health.

Thessalonians is unique, it was the first letter Paul wrote, and he loved this group of people deeply. Because of this, we get a good snapshot of what the Christian life is really about.

A life worth celebrating, Paul says, is a life that looks like Jesus' life. A life lived like Christ will take you to unexpected places, it will ask you to live in uncertainty and even risk but it will lead you to contentment and rejoicing!

Easter means that we have been rescued! We've been saved from the burning house!  Maybe it's time we stopped playing with matches. 

As Christians who want to please God, sometimes we are tempted to grab ahold of ideas, habits, and practices that we mistakenly think make us closer to Jesus. But truly, the ONLY thing that brings us closer to Jesus is...Jesus!

When relationships get too messy, ugly, awkward, or tense - we're tempted just to toss them aside—disposable relationships. The Corinthian church was a disaster, but Paul refused to give up on them. Find out why and what a difference that will make in your relationships.

The Church in Corinth was a mess. At every turn, they'd managed to make the exact wrong decision. How did they get in that mess, how did God sort it all out and what does that mean for us?

Paul reminds us that a relationship with God is a miracle that should be celebrated constantly. But there is no version of this relationship that doesn’t involve deep, sacrificial, even, occasionally difficult friendships within a church. We must constantly rebel against that external pressure and internal drift that tempts us to settle for anything less than how God designed us to live.

The Letter to the Romans is a powerful and compelling explanation of the human problem and the divine solution. This is God's vision not only for a united church but a well-lived life! 

Mark's Gospel is probably the earliest and it's also the most direct. He doesn't pull any punches - Jesus is the Son of God and he's here to seek and save the lost.

Acts tells the incredible story of how powerfully the name of Jesus transformed the world. The question we should be asking is - if Jesus can radically reshape the world, then what could he do in my life? The Gospel of Luke highlights a vision of Jesus that has a radically different way of seeing the world. At every turn, Jesus was elevating the humble and humbling the self-righteous. If you are willing, Luke will lead you to share this compelling way of interacting with everything and everyone. 

Hebrews is an incredibly logical and persuasive argument about Jesus. But this isn't just an academic exercise; the author has some tough warnings for people that have become indifferent to the incredible reality of faith.   

Peter writes that we would become a better version of ourselves by deeply believing and living the promises of God. We're kicking off our Scriptural Formation Journey! Week One. We started in the Gospel of Matthew asking the question - "What do we learn about Jesus from the way this book shares the story of the Messiah?"

We have lots of “Why” and “What” questions for God. "Why is this happening?", "God, what are you doing?" But God, for thousands of years, has consistently had the same answer. Learn more in the final sermon in our Peace on Earth series 

Jesus is here, now what?

The goodness of the good news keeps better the more we get it. Scripture says that the Gospel means we are "holy," "without blemish," and "free from accusation." What if we actually believed that were true? 

Everyone is chasing peace. But what if we’re called to create peace for others? What does a life of a shalom-maker look like?

( Watch Online ) Everyone is chasing those "perfect" moments where everything is all as it should be. The people of God called those moments "Shalom." We all long for it, but it can't be forced, manufactured, or controlled. It must be received from the Prince of Peace who rules the Kingdom of Shalom.

( Watch Online ) We talk a lot about forgiveness but what those who are hurt by the guilty? Does mercy mean that people aren't responsible for their actions? What is the good news for those who have been hurt by the guilt? (Exodus 34:6, 7)
