Women Like Us - Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs

It's our last episode of The Biscuit Tin Today - next week we start a new podcast!  Today we are in Narrabri in NSW and there is a lot of talk about hotels, toilets and biscuits.  All the usual stuff!!  See you next week for Awkward Gulley.

Ellen's kid still hasn't left home, and Mandy made some shitty pumpkin soup.  Today they talk all things dinner parties and celebrity chefs - here's a hint.  They don't like many of them except the gorgeous Jamie Oliver.

Mandy has had furry friends in her bed whilst travelling, and Ellen has spent a day in hospital where a young guy had a minor stab wound - before 10am - and winter has certainly hit.  They are complaining about it getting below 10 degrees - lightweight winter women!

This week Mandy describes a very strange massager that she has been given from Aldi, and she has been chomping on the biccies about someone who is stealing her facebook friends. Ellen texts her son during the podcast with an angry text - compiled with help from Mandy!

Mandy and Ellen recorded this episode last weekend while they were in Gunnedah in the middle of the mouse plague - but the mice stayed hidden from them!  They also talk about a run in with police, social media, Ellen's crush on Louis Theroux and how it ended and everything else that drove them to the biscuit tin.

There is a special guest on today's episode who sings for everyone, Mandy tells us what's wrong with her, how to make a good cup of tea, we reminisce about Glenn Shorrock and The Little River Band.  There's a lot of singing in this episode.  Sorry about that.

It was Ellen's birthday this week and Mandy didn't get an invite to her lunch.  Awkward.  Mandy also remembers a childhood bully and Ellen has vowed to find her and make her pay.  Another funny episode.

Lots of things have sent Ellen to the Biscuit Tin this week - taxation and snoring mainly!  The two don't mix.  Recorded at 7am with Mandy in full makeup and ready for a gig at 8pm!  She's busy!

In our second episode we cover some lovely things that have happened that we celebrated around the biscuit tin, and of course some things that pissed us off - wouldn't be a normal week without that!  Ellen also set Mandy a fashion challenge in revenge for the selfie challenge.  Stand by for that!!  Enjoy your biscuits!

This is the last episode in the Love & Hate Series and we all know Mandy and Ellen are totally hip, on fleek and lit.  Or are they?  They dissect all the words and phrases from now and then and choose the ones they love the most.  Bit of bad language in this one - but what's new?  Don't be a Karen and get offended.

Today Ellen & Mandy talk about all the ways they disciplined their kids.  They're not experts that's for sure - they also rag on loud disciplining parents - especially the ones in planes.  They're not available to babysit surprisingly.

Everyone loves a cute little kangaroo, possum or wombat...or do they??  Mandy and Ellen reveal all and some pretty terrifying stories about their encounters with wildlife.  If you're scared of spiders you'll love this episode.  Maybe.

Who doesn't love a good bit of tele?  Today we talk about our favourites from back in the day, and the current ones.  Mandy loves zombies and Ellen loves a good rousing chant to get her heart going...and also admits to watching MAFS and gets shamed.  It's a funny one!

Today we cover all the good and bad about eating out.  Mandy was once a waitress in a very dodgey resturaunt, where they even made her cook once, and Ellen gets anxiety when having to order cause she always wants what everyone else has.  Not one for vegans.  These girls love their meat.

Do you love Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, or however else you get your opinion out there??  We love it....but there are also things we hate about it.  Ellen made the mistake of telling Mandy she hates selfies so in this episode Mandy has thrown down the #30selfiesin30days challenge to Ellen - tune in to hear about their social media habits!

Sport! Sport! Sport!  You might not instantly think that Ellen and Mandy are sporty types....but you'd be wrong.  They really love some sports, and really hate some.  Apologies in advance if you play one of the ones they hate!! From MotoGP, Basketball, Shot Put, Cricket, Soccer....the list goes on.  They leave no ball unturned this week!!

Fa Fa Fa Fa Fa Fashion.....David Bowie always seemed to get it right, but we certainly didn't.  We have a bit of a walk down memory lane and talk about where we really got it wrong and what we would love to wear again.  We also describe what each of us is wearing...typically Mandy isn't wearing much and Ellen is dressed like a cast member on Little House On The Prairie.

Do you hold the door open for people? Blow your nose in public?  Warn people in public toilets not to "go in there"? Leave the table before everyone has finished eating??  We love a good manner, and we also hate bad manners.  Please enjoy.  And thank you.

We love and hate a lot of things - and really love (and hate) books!  Today this episode is more like a book club - we've gone all intellectual!! We're more book slugs than book worms though.
