In our first message for 2024, Grant introduces our summer series, Habits That Keep Us Growing, by talking about a habit he's put in place in his life in recent years, that is both an act of worship to God and is something that physically helps save lives in New Zealand. It's a habit that many people could embrace in their lives, so his message comes with a big challenge!

In our final Sunday of the year, Aidan Wivell sets us up for 2024 with a challenge from Acts 17:22-34, asking us to think about what stand we will make for the ongoing story that we've just celebrated through the season of Advent that led to Christmas. 

In our final Advent message, Grant takes a look at Matthew 2:1-11 and looks at the various ways Jesus was welcomed. The [very big] challenge is to ask ourselves how we might welcome Jesus this Christmas.

One of the most powerful songs we sing at this time of the year is O Holy Night. This song has a powerful story behind it that shows God can use anyone to achieve His purposes - which is another thrilling hope that gives all our lives meaning, in all seasons!

Immanuel (in the Old Testament) and Emmanuel (in the New Testament) are the same people .. God with us. Holly encourages us to discover/rediscover the thrill of hope that comes with knowing that Jesus (Emmanuel) is with us, in our hearts (and not in any building), revealing himself in our world, if we have the eyes to see.

On this first day of Advent 2023, Aidan opens up 1 Peter 1:3-9, a powerful passage that helps us live faithfully in the present by remembering the past and hoping in the future. This is a word in season for our times.

Grant concludes our series in the book of of Romans by looking at Chapter 16:17-27 which has a uniquely significant focus on recognising teaching that doesn't align with the Gospel ... a challenging topic to address in these days of increasing division (although division is not a new thing, which is why Paul addresses it!).

Heather looks at the long list of greetings that Paul writes in Romans 16:1-16 as he starts to wrap things up in his letter to the church in Rome. A long list of names has a lot of significance though, because of precisely who is in the list - as Heather powerfully explains.

As we start to head towards the end of our series through the book of Romans, Caleb looks at Romans 14:1 - 15:13 where Paul encourages the Christians in Rome (and therefore the Christians in the world today as well!) to ensure that they keep the the most important parts of the Gospel central to their lives, but learn to live with those things that we can agree to have different views on. True then...

Some passages in Scripture are hard to get our heads around, and Romans 13:1-7 is one of them! But it can't be read without reading Romans 12, and Romans 1-11 ... Grant challenges us to apply the bigger story of what Paul was writing as we look to God's sovereignty in all things.

Aidan takes a good hard look at Romans 12:14-21 that asks some probing questions of us as we consider our attitude, and love, towards those who might be considered our enemies. It's a proactive and challenging message, so due warning is given!

Mikayla Reid makes her preaching debut today as she looks at Daniel 4:19-27, focusing in on how to we live in exile today and hold together the tension of knowing God is above all, even during times of major disruption, while still doing good where we are. 

Pastor Grant continues through Romans 12, looking at Verses 9-13 and the list of virtues that give examples of what a transformed life looks like ... which prompts us to think about whether we allow God the space in our lives to live out what we say we believe. A Spirit-inspired word for sure!

Romans 12:3-8 teaches us a super important lesson - we're better together, and in fact we need to work together for the sake of what God is doing in the world. In this challenging message, Grant encourages us to know how God has wired us, and how we need each other. Inspiring stuff!

After a deep dive through Romans 1-11, Grant takes us into the hard stuff, the application, the outworking of what it is to know Jesus and to be transformed by Him. Romans 12:1-2 is such a well-known passage, so let's apply it to our lives and become the frogs and butterflies God would want us to be!

As we come to the end of Romans 11, the Apostle Paul brings together many chapters of rich theology by bringing a doxology in Verses 33-36, that helps us look at the bigger picture of God's sovereignty, meaning we won't understand everything about God, and we'll have some different views on a number of things in the church, but that shouldn't stop us being united in our worship...

If history is our teacher, it's easy to see how God's purposes prevail. As Grant takes us through Romans 11:1-24, he grounds what Paul is writing in the big picture of God's journey with the nation of Israel. It's incredible history, but incredibly relevant to our lives today - the same God is at work in our the small parts of our lives.

Continuing our journey through the book of Romans, Aiden reads through Romans 10:13-15, and with its directive for Christians to be the ones who speak of the good news of Jesus, confesses his reticence of being an evangelist - pushing us to think about our role in being the tellers of the good news of Jesus to which Paul challenges us to be!

We love stories, and in this Father's Day message, four men from the Windsor Park community share their experiences of how God has positioned them for purposes that are unique to them, acknowledging that God has positioned us all for purposes that are unique to us.

At the start  of Romans 10, the Apostle Paul continues to show his heart to see those around him know who Jesus is. Paul's love for people was based solely on his own discovery of who Jesus was ... his story told three times in the book of Acts. Paul's story, and ours, has influence, and Grant encourages us to live our story.

Grant continues our series working through the letter to the Romans, today looking at Chapter 9 (particularly Verses 1-5), where we see Paul's passion for his people in full force. We're challenged to think about how our Damascus Road experience works itself out for the benefit of those around us. Super challenging stuff!

John Tucker takes us into the Gospel of John, Chapter 11, Verses 17-44 as we look at the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead - and reminds us of the power of Jesus, our true superhero!

Aidan continues our journey through the book of Romans, today looking at Chapter 8, Verses 31-39, where we see seven questions which all have significant answers and lead us to one of the most memorised Scriptures in the world, Romans 8:38 where we're reminded that nothing can separate us from the love of God!

Suffering is something we don't ask for, but is a part of life we all experience in some way. The Bible speaks into this, and Caleb takes us through Romans 8:17-30 which helps us place God in the middle of difficult times.

Romans 8:14-17 is one of those passages that pushes us to get emotional, emotional  in a stand up and cheer kindof way. Grant does his best to get us to do that - but will you? Hopefully! God has been good to us all :-).
