Well as usual turkey season gets away...but need to get this out...thanks for all the recent listens...hey it is something on the radio waiting for hunters or going to the woods...at any rate...ya'll be safe and we on track for a bunch of new listens this year!

Sometimes we all have to deal with Gobblers that won't Gobble...Here are a few ways to  "make it happen".  Join Jim Nabors on a hunt or two...while not the classic, was surely effective!

NOWADAYS, WITH the advent of technology one should be able to know the layout of the land, and the location of property lines in a few clicks.  With ON X...the art of staying found is in everyone's hands...but also, learn to use a map and compass...as there will be a time that you will need to cover ground in a straight line method that is foolproof...and relies on what you have on hand!  STAYING...

LOOK,  i KNOW THIS MAY SEEM REDUNDANT....but people love the story of this turkey...he was a thorn in my side for many a season!  Two things got him...one was the weather...got right with my past in that thunder and lightning...the second was the abscents  (sp)  of a camera...  That fifteen yards proved invaluable!  By the way...first time I  B mobiled I wore that Boonie hat in pic....was shooting...

SOMETIMES...YOU GOT TO CHANGE...IN SHORT, try different tactics, areas, and hunting strategies...like callin and rattlin'....ground blinds...quite simply anything that changes the normal way you pursue whitetails...This will often incrase your odds during this strange period of pre rut behavoir! 100% Absolutely...Positively...Wild N True'...POWERFUL OUTDOOR ACTION

Reality...Well there it is... or why you need to wear your specs as you get older...Seriously there is some adaptation to hunting at sixty five...versus twenty five!  Just be sure to slow down and be a bit safer...and make sure things still work the way the used too...If Not... ADAPT

A little follow up on bear safety...and tthe real story behind the catching of two little bear cubs orphaned on the Westside Road in Idaho...that's right the "Paul Harvey" at its best!

One of the key elements in trickin' a big old whitetail...persimmons, apples, crab apples, and pears all fit the bill.  Trim those old trees out, fertilize, or plant new and create your own game paradise!

THIS goes all the ways back to the episode that started it all...I'm pretty sneaky...especially on public land.   But that being said a group of us up Montana's Yakk valley...now domesticated but in the day...always left a note on the truck...or the barn...or in the house...we had virtually no locks...that told what drainage we were up and for about how long...course the three day rule applied to...
