Whiskey And Fire

Society EN ↓ 21 episodes

Pull up a chair and pour a glass , this is Whiskey & Fire. We’re just a couple of regular people talking about life, hot takes, dumb stories, and whatever else comes up… all while sipping a new bottle of whiskey every episode. We’re not experts , we just love good conversation and good pours. Each episode kicks off with “Pour Me Something Tall and Strong,” followed by some unfiltered talk, a few bold opinions, and ends with our final verdict: is it Top Shelf or Bottom of the Barrel? No scripts. No pressure. Just real talk, questionable ratings, and a lot of laughs.

The He-Man Women Hater Club (And Other Bathroom Debates) 11.02.2026

We start with an extremely important topic: which places have elite bathrooms and which ones you should never trust. From there, things spiral (naturally). We debate women’s-only gyms, whether men’s-only gyms would cause chaos, and why it feels like bathroom rules are completely different depending on who walks into which line. Why is it funny when a woman runs into the men’s restroom at a concert...

Pecan or Pecan? 05.02.2026

Juan is back. After surviving the mysterious warehouse fire from last episode, he rejoins the crew just in time for a Texas whiskey… and an even bigger debate. In Episode 2 of Whiskey & Fire, we kick things off arguing the only question that really matters: is it “pecan” or “pecan”?With Texas on the brain and whiskey in our glasses, the conversation goes exactly where you’d expect — slightly o...

The Warehouse Fire 29.01.2026

We’re back. After a little break (okay, a few months),  Whiskey & Fire  officially kicks off  Season Two  and naturally, we start it the most confusing way possible. If you’ve ever watched  Chicago Fire , you know how every season ends: a massive warehouse explosion, dramatic music, and a cliffhanger about who survived. Then the next season starts and everyone’s just… eating dinner like nothin...

Paranormal Pod-tivity 02.11.2025

Our studio has never been this full and we’re not just talking people. For our Día de los Muertos Special, we welcome back returning legends Mother Sharon (Patron Saint of Puppies) and Medium Wheels… but this time, a new presence joins us: Loren Mystic Chick, a psychic medium who sees beyond the veil. To honor the night, we let Loren choose this week’s bottle, no hints, no direction. Just: “Grab t...

Where Are the ’90s Ghosts? 31.10.2025

Welcome to our Halloween Special  where the nostalgia hits hard and the spooky questions hit harder. We talk childhood Halloweens, the thrill of trick-or-treating, and how things have changed since we were running around in plastic masks that smelled like burnt crayons. Then we get weird. Serial killers. Paranormal encounters. And the biggest mystery of all: Why are ghosts always from the 1800s? W...

Puppies, Wheels & Whiskey — Oh My 30.10.2025

We shook things up for Episode 15 and brought in not one but TWO special guests. First, a holy return: Mother Sharon, Patron Saint of Puppies, is back blessing the pod once again. And joining her for the first time… Katie formerly known as Tiny Wheels, now officially promoted to Medium Wheels. We explain the nickname upgrade, dive into who Katie really is, and let the chaos unfold as the squad get...

Wrestling, Spanish, and… Feet Pics? 28.10.2025

This one goes off the rails in the most Whiskey & Fire way possible. We kick things off talking wrestling … then somehow switch to Spanish and language barriers… and eventually end up debating (don’t ask how) the economics of feet pics.

Camp Mode 23.10.2025

This week, we’re planning our upcoming Michigan adventure — and the debate gets heated: Krista wants hotels, Joe wants to camp in the Tesla. Somewhere between glamping and grid life, we find ourselves talking about how camping has evolved, why younger generations are chasing minimalism, and whether the “American Dream” even makes sense anymore. Juan and Joe also go head-to-head on the idea that ma...

Love & Marriage 22.10.2025

This week, we’re diving into love, marriage, and all the weird, complicated stuff that comes with it including how the government somehow ended up in the middle of it all. We talk about weddings, commitment, and why “forever” looks different for everyone. It’s part deep talk, part roast, part therapy session all fueled by good whiskey and questionable logic. 🥃 Pour one up and join us as we try to...

Whiskey, Wounds, and What We Carry 07.10.2025

This one hits different. Nearly three hours of unfiltered conversation, laughter through pain, and reflection on the moments that shape us. We get real about  loss, aging, marriage, family, and grief  from Joe opening up about his grandfather’s passing to Juan sharing the story of his mother’s death. We dive into what it means to grow up, to let go, and to hold on. It’s not all heavy there’s heart...

Murder in Waco 18.09.2025

We made it to double digits so technically that means we’re eligible to be managers in some countries. Probably. Episode 10 kicks off with zero structure, a little chaos, and a strong pour from Balcones a bold rye out of Waco, Texas (yeah, that Waco). Naturally, we plan to murder this bottle and maybe a few expectations along the way.

Juan Rogers & Lady Juan: The Loafers Episode 04.09.2025

We might not remember everything we talked about in this one, but we definitely remember the loafers. This week, we welcome not one, but TWO guests: Juan’s wife, Lady Juan Rogers and… Juan himself, who showed up looking like a Midwest Mr. Rogers. So naturally, the roast session was immediate. In between the nonsense, we sip on a strong pour from  Hard Truth Distilling Co. their Sweet Mash Rye, one...

What Are You Afraid Of? 28.08.2025

This week on Whiskey & Fire, we’re diving deep into one loaded question: What are you afraid of? We didn’t give Krista or Juan any context on purpose, no rules, no categories, just raw, honest answers about fear. From clowns to failure to the big “what ifs,” this one goes places we didn’t expect. And fueling the conversation? A bold pour of Traverse City Whiskey Co.’s Barrel-Proof Straight Rye...

Certified Podcasters, Basically Besties with Joe Rogan 22.08.2025

We made it to Episode 7 statistically, that makes us real podcasters now. Call it fate, talent, or just pure whiskey-fueled stubbornness, but we’re basically best friends with Joe Rogan at this point. This week, we’re sipping on a ridiculously good bottle from Grand Traverse Distillery  their Ambarana-finished bourbon. Spoiler alert: it tastes like warm cinnamon oatmeal and dreams. We don’t totall...

Mother Sharon: Patron Saint of Puppies 14.08.2025

This week, we’re sipping Uncle Nearest Rye 100 proof of pure fire from Nearest Green Distillery making them our first ever official-unofficial whiskey sponsor But the real star of the episode? Sharon. Animal rescue legend, food truck hype woman, and now officially canonized as Mother Sharon, the new Patron Saint of Puppies. We brought her on as our first-ever guest… and she instantly took over the...

Function Over Form 08.08.2025

It’s Episode 5, baby and we’re celebrating with Old Fashioneds and our first official podcast in the new studio! What could go wrong? (Spoiler, everything.) This week we dive into the great debate: function over form. Joe just wants things to work, Krista wants things to feel nice, and somewhere in the middle… the dogs started barking, someone needed to poop, Krista left to feed them, and Joe may...

Whatcha Gonna Do… When Plans Run Wild on You? 31.07.2025

Whatcha gonna do when  Whiskey & Fire  runs wild on you, brother?! In this episode, we pour a glass, drop a big “Hulk Hogan energy” tribute, and dive into the chaos of planning… or in Joe’s case,  not planning at all . Do you live life by the calendar, or just figure it out as you go? We’ve got whiskey in hand, wrestling nostalgia on the brain, and zero plans because that’s how we roll.

This $hit is Buchanan's 28.07.2025

This week, we’re pouring a bottle of Buchanan’s and seeing if it lives up to the hype… or if the hype is the only thing holding it together. No plans, no big theme just good whiskey, wild tangents, and questionable opinions. We play some games, share some random thoughts, and, of course, finish with the big question: Top Shelf or Bottom of the Barrel?

Burnt Out, Poured Up 23.07.2025

This week, we talk burnout the real kind. Not the kind you fix with a nap and a to-do list, but the kind that sneaks in after life, work, and creative chaos pile up. We crack open a new bottle, talk about what burnout looks like for each of us, and try to figure out how to deal with it or at least laugh about it. Spoiler: the whiskey helped a little.

We Hit Record! 20.07.2025

Welcome to the very first episode of Whiskey & Fire! We cracked open a bottle of Sazerac Rye, hit record, and finally kicked this thing off. In this episode, we introduce ourselves (Joe, Juan, and Krista), talk a little about what we do as creatives, and break down the format of the show including what to expect in each segment. It’s not too deep, not too serious, and definitely not scripted. Just...

Episode Zero: We’re Just Figuring It Out 19.07.2025

This is our test run, no whiskey rating, no official segments, just us messing around with the mics and figuring out how this whole podcast setup works. It’s raw, unfiltered, and probably a little chaotic but hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere. The real show is coming soon but in the meantime, here’s a little taste of what Whiskey & Fire might be.
