Checks and balances are critical for any democracy but especially at this moment in history with the particular President we currently have.  All that being said, there are things going on in America that speak well to America turning the corner on Trump.

Trump bragged that the world needed us, not the other way around and he would prove every predecessor in the Oval Office was a sucker, and his tariffs would bring global markets to their knees. And that's just part of the story! Richard explains.

Both President Trump and HHS Secretary RFK Jr., were in Michigan recently stumping for Mike Rogers in the contentious Senate race there.  Rather than tout Rogers the candidate or why he’d be good for their state in Washington both men decided that lying about his opponent’s biography and demeaning his entire faith was their best closing message. Richard explains.

Democrats need to pick up four seats in the House and Senate to gain majorities, and while the latter seemed improbable a month or so ago, both are not only possible, they’re probable. Richard reviews the latest polls and data for the upcoming midterm elections.

Somehow, however, despite being underwater on every issue for voters, Trump has managed to pour gasoline on Republican problems every time he opens his mouth. Listen to some of the strangest words to emanate form a President's mouth. Richard explains.

Donald Trump is demanding favors on the campaign trail as he desperately tries to stem the looming blue wave next Tuesday.  Adopting a strategy not unlike a mob boss with a protection scheme, Trump is conditioning help in jobs, disaster relief, settlements and even cold hard cash if, and only if, citizens vote the way he wants. Richard explains.

Trump really believes the Press is supposed to, first and foremost, either praise his actions or report exactly what he says as gospel.  This is not just insane, and a sign that he is deteriorating, it is against everything our founders believed the Republic stood for. Richard shows you why.

There is a new political ad that chooses to resurrect the rape of a child and then blame the victim.  The ad, that Ohio candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has taken credit for, and will spend 4 million dollars in putting on the airwaves has both Democrats and Republican outraged. Richard explains.

The GOP was in deep trouble by every polling metric at the beginning of the month and it’s only gone from really bad to God awful the past two weeks. Richard looks at the polls.

President Trump yesterday blamed Ukrainian President Zelensky for the casualties of his soldiers and citizens, and defended the actions of Vladimir Putin who invaded his neighbor without provocation. Richard explains this affront to the Western alliance.

What our President did to Ukraine and for Russia is Exhibit A in disgraceful cowardice.  In a naked attempt to minimize GOP losses in next month’s midterms, Trump threatened Ukraine’s very survival and exposed Europe to Russian aggression. He embarrassingly debased himself to Putin for the promise of diesel fuel. Richard explains.

Poll after poll tells us the same thing, Republicans are in trouble with time running out. But more than any number, a look at where our President is choosing to campaign and what he’s messaging in the final sprint to the midterms is very illuminating. Richard explains.

On December 3rd, the Fort Hood shooter, former Army Major Nidal Hasan, is scheduled to be executed. Our Secretary of War wants to live stream the execution turning it into a public event. Richard explains how this plan makes one horrific, heinous event even more heinous. It's not who we are as Americans.

The U.S. Envoy to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, has allegedly engaged in improper and possibly illegal conduct before and during her tenure in Athens. Richard explores the hypocrisy that exists in the White House over this kind of grift.

Trump is historically unpopular, the state of the economy, his handling of the war in Iran, his misplaced priorities and just about every other issue are all underwater. The palpable fear among Republicans is not that their democratic opponents are beloved, it’s that the endless benefit of the doubt the base had for Trump seems for many to have been exhausted. We have seen measles outbreaks in Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, South Carolina and elsewhere, and there seems to be no signs of letting up.  This self manufactured disaster is all courtesy of the debunked connection conspiracists like RFK Jr. have fostered for decades about a connection between the measles vaccine and autism. Richard reviews the measles dilemma we currently face.

When Trump took office this term one of the first agencies he took a hatchet to was the Department of Justice, with particular animus to its Civil Rights Division. Richard reviews the fallout from this assault on common sense.

High rates of online gambling disorders, especially with teens and guys in their early 20’s, with addiction clocking in as high as 7 percent is raising alarms among experts. Richard examines the problem.

After nearly 6 years of Trump as President, it takes a lot to shock the system. Richard had to hear a recent clip three times before he believed Trump actually said what we all thought we heard. Richard compares Trump's statement with those of earlier Presidents. The contrast is stunning!

Trump is clearly rattled and for good reason.  Not only do the prediction markets and leading political pollsters predict Democrats winning back the House and now the Senate but the rout might extend well beyond Congress. With 28 days to the midterm elections, Richard reviews the current state of the voters.

The final economic report card before the election came down late last week and it was bad news for the Trump Administration and by extension those in his party on the ballot next month. Richard reviews the truths for our economy today.

On Wednesday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth gave a “State of the Force” speech to hundreds of officers and servicemembers at a Marine Corps base in Quantico. Richard reviews the message that has legislators on both sides of the isle concerned.
