PLEASE NOTE: THE CITY NAMES HAVE CHANGED -- Geldon is Houston, West Laurel is Dallas, Carlton is New Orleans. Previously, Jessica moved into her apartment and agonized about her upcoming meeting with Helene.  

Previously, Jessica gave the Chief an update on the three offices, and he agreed with her plan for handling the poor performers. She sees Segun and Bette together when she returns to the office and resents that they can be together publicly. She decides to give Bette more work to occupy her time.

Previously, Jessica met with each of the three offices and found one doing well and two failing. And she discovered that Helene is the resident darling of the region.

Previously, Jessica questioned changing from casual relationships to an emotional one. She learned more about the Chief and Helene's affair. She realized she must address Helene's popularity, or the woman would control the region.

Previously, Segun shared his mandate. He and Jessica agreed to a platonic secret pals relationship.

Previously, Jessica and Segun planned to talk following her gym session. But after a confrontation with Helene, Jessica left without speaking to Segun. He followed her to her hotel and insisted they must talk.

Formerly, Jessica realized that Peter, the Geldon GM, absolutely needs to be fired. And that Helene is sneaky and intent on asserting her superiority in their shared role. 

Jessica meets with the Geldon staff and Peter, the GM. She later joins a meeting of other directors on the Chief's teleconference budget call. She gets a further negative impression of Helene.

Previously, Jessica discovered that Geldon has cliques that she doesn't care to join. However, she was grateful to meet her new stylist, Crystal, and discover that they shared common ground.

Following the reality check from his mother, Segun sets aside his thoughts of women and focuses on his financial goal.

Previously, Helene laid the groundwork for a contentious relationship with Jessica.  And Bette showed that her loyalty is to Helene. Jessica will visit one of the hair salons that Bette referred to.

Previously, Segun received a call from his mother in Nigeria, reminding him of his mandate. He realizes he must tell Jessica he cannot be involved with her. 

After spending the day with Segun selecting an apartment and learning more about him, Jessica's desire to be involved with him grows. She wants to spend more time together, and so does he.

When Jessica relocated to Geldon, Segun was sent to pick her up from the airport. They shared an immediate attraction. Jessica had vowed to avoid a serious relationship, but could not resist the chemistry between them.

Previously, after Jessica's husband divorced her for being barren, she buried her pain in her job and inappropriate relations. And she accepted a problematic job that required a relocation.

Previously, after two miscarriages and a hysterectomy, Jessica's husband divorced her. She turned to her career. When she completed a challenging project her boss assigned, he offered her a problematic promotion. Jessica must decide on the promotion.

Jessica Henry suffered a triple loss. It affected her decisions about her personal life and career.
