What the hell am I doing in my 20s?
What am I supposed to be doing in my 20s? Isn't it the time to try out all the experiences I can while I'm in my youth? What if I'm broke? Should I be putting all my energy into a successful career? Should I be dating seriously at this age? Our 20s is probably the most confusing, yet exciting but delusional time that a person will go through in their lives. In each episode, Ellen goes into all the experiences she's been through as a 24 year old, in hopes that someone else will relate to her experiences and feel less alone about what they're going through. What I learned in therapy 12.02.2024 27:56
Have you ever been to therapy? Truthfully, I know there's a stigma attached to counselling so it's not easy for people to admit to the help that they need, but it's truly a wonderful experience that I believe everyone should try once (the earlier the better!) In this episode, I've listed all of the major things I've learned while being in therapy for years. I hope you'll le...

Let's talk social anxiety 22.01.2024 16:11
You look at the people around you, and you might think that you're the only one suffering from social anxiety out of everyone, which can feel isolating and overwhelming. Chances are, the majority of your friends also suffer from social anxiety. It's extremely common, yet people choose to deal with it in silence. In this episode, I share my 2 cents on this common but quiet issue. A lot of w...

What does money mean to you? 08.01.2024 16:17
Money is the golden pot that everyone chases and that everyone wants. But is that really a good thing? Money possesses a lot of power - it can completely influence every single decision of the direction you choose to take in your life. People in their 20s are generally money-obsessed, but unfortunately, this can largely deteriorate one's quality of life. However, not many people realize this a...
Going on exchange was the best decision of my life 01.01.2024 19:59
I went on exchange to France from september 2022 to may 2023 and it was the best year of my life. Essentially, I talk about the preparation of my exchange and my amazing experiences there all whilst trying to convince you to apply abroad if you've had recurring thoughts of studying or working abroad. Main takeaway: go abroad, you'll never look back.
Friendship icks 25.12.2023 16:04
You've probably had your fair share of shitty friends in your teenage and early 20s. Hopefully, you've recognized that you're better off without them! I list all my personal friendship icks (the list will likely expand in the future) that help me to open my eyes up to what a good friend entails. I complained a lot in this episode so I hope you were able to let some steam off with me to...
How do you deal with rejection and inadequacy? 19.12.2023 14:29
Rejection is one of the hardest acts to deal with. At a young age, we can't help but take rejection personally and let that sprout into feelings of inadequacy. In this episode, I talk about how rejection allows you to reevaluate your values, your perspective and your standards. It allows you see yourself in a constructive and positive way, despite how awful it may feel in the moment. Although...
Anger serves nothing in your life 11.12.2023 19:32
Anger is a feeling that no one likes. But at the same time, it's an emotion that people always use to make themselves feel better. People in their 20's are more prone to anger, simply because they haven't possessed the tools yet to be able to diffuse their anger in a healthy manner. They believe that anger is something that can't be fixed or reduced. This leads them to have fu...

My small business experience has certainly taught me many things that I use to improve my life. However, that experience has brought ongoing hardships that...
Am I getting too much rest? 27.11.2023 16:47
Have you ever felt like you were getting too much rest and you were starting to feel guilty from it? Especially since you're in your 20's and you shouldn't be "resting so much" since you're in your prime time where you should be focusing on building your future? This kind of pressure is the reason why so many young adults get burnt out so easily. There's a lot o...
I don't think laziness exists 20.11.2023 12:08
You've read the title of this episode and now you're thinking "WTF?" We've become so used to using the word "lazy" that we don't realize the harm it causes for some of us. For years, I've been telling myself that I'm a lazy person, thinking that it would justify whenever I didn't want to do something. By doing that, I was digging a deeper ho...
Envy is a bitch 06.11.2023 22:42
I don't recall many times where I've NOT been jealous of someone else in my life... can you relate to this? Everyone always seems to have all the things that we want, which makes it hard to appreciate the things that we have cause we're always chasing what someone else has. Jealousy and envy are truly poisonous - how can we live a happy life if we spend our time wishing that we ha...
How do I stop being a people pleaser? 30.10.2023 19:43
I've met SO many people who are people pleasers. At our age, it's pretty common given that we want to make lots of friends and not be on anybody's bad side. While it seems like being a people pleaser might be beneficial to people around you, it also happens to be one of the worst forms of self-sabotage. It's ironic because you're pleasing everybody but yourself. In this...
