After Jesus had become indignant when His disciples were rebuking people who were bringing children to Jesus, He then says that you must become like a child to enter the Kingdom of God. Now in the passage for our consideration, a rich young man, said to be in a ruler position, comes to Jesus asking the wrong question. "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" Last week we looked at the Old Testament passage that tells of the coming of the Child born and the Son given who would have the government on His shoulders. Today we looked at the fulfillment of that prophecy as recorded in Luke. It is fulfilled. It is true. Jesus Christ the Lord is born.
