Today we continue our study in the "Gospel of St. Paul," the Book of Romans. Romans 3:21, "But now..."

"BUT NOW, the righteousness of God has been UNVEILED..." The first of many, most likely, on salvation, and Romans 3:21. Today we actually focus on the terrible mistake of "refusing love."

Now we know that as many things as the law says, it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be held accountable to God. (Rom 3:19) Therefore by works of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. (Rom 3:20)

Today we continue to look at Paul's lengthy OT quote, and we look at its source.

Today we look at Paul's long quotation in Romans 3, from the Old Testament. Theologians have said for years that Paul strung together countless verses in this passage (3:8-18), while in fact, this entire passage comes from just 1 verse!

"Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:32-33, NASB)

"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. " If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it . (John 14:13-14) Wow, what a promise! How's that promise working out in YOUR life?

We intended to look at Romans 3:1 today, but the Lord took our study today to John 11:25-26. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. (John 11:25) And everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:26)

The Apostle Paul today makes the astounding statement that a true "Jew" is a heart condition! For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in flesh; (Rom 2:28) but he is a Jew that is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter, whose praise is not from men but from God. (Rom 2:29)

What is the opposite of the name of the Lord being blasphemed? The name of the Lord being praised by all that we do!

"For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

"Behold, you are called a Jew, and rely on the law, and boast in God, (Rom 2:17) and know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law, (Rom 2:18) and are convinced that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those in darkness..." (Rom 2:19)

Today we start God's case against the "religionist." "Behold, you who are called a Jew, and boast in God..."

"To those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption—eternal life. (Rom 2:7) But to those who are contentious, and who disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath..." (Rom 2:8)

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God, (Rom 2:5) who “will recompense to each one according to his works”: (Rom 2:6) to those who by the endurance of good works are seeking glory and honor and incorruption—eternal life. But do you suppose this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things yet doing them, that you will escape the judgment of God? (Rom 2:3) Or do you despise the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? (Rom 2:4)

"Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, everyone who judges, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge are practicing the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things." (Rom 2:1-2)

"...who, having known the righteous judgment of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve of those who practice them.
